So happy we found Ela Mesa! Had never been to this lovely neighborhood before but it popped up as an Open Table recommendation. Dinner (sea bass filet, beet salad, avgolemano soup, stuffed grape leaves) was fine dining level. Service was excellent. My only issue was the noise level (and the restaurant wasn’t packed and music was very low.) I don’t know how they could fix this or if my husband and I are just overly sensitive to it. Regardless, we will be back. Have been looking for an alternative to Mykonos for years.

My wife and I had an amazing and authentic experience at Ela Mesa. We shared zucchini chips and then seafood risotto and lamb chops respectively. Everything was spectacular. The service was prompt and attentive. Looking forward to a return visit soon!

2nd time eating here; first time was for lunch; this time dinner. my husband had the moussaka (absolutely delicious); I had the grilled lamb chops (good but I am sorry that I did not order a more Grek traditional dish) The sides were delicious. Service and atmosphere great

That was the second time for me. The food is good. Unfortunately there was live greek music, not bad at all, but it was way too noisy. You couldn't have a normal conversation with your partner. The tables for 2 are way too small and will not be seated at that size table again, I'd rather walk out. I will visit again.

We went for Mother’s Day and had a subpar experience; the noise level was way too loud inside the restaurant and the food quality was OK. They had live music, but didn’t open up the doors to have the music flow outside. The result was a migraine headache and irritated mothers/grandmothers in our party of 6. The music was was so loud, that I couldn’t enjoy conversation with the family. The kitchen was clearly overwhelmed with the number of people that showed up for 5 pm dinner, and we waited for 45 minutes between appetizers and mains. Dissatisfied and disappointed in this experience, as it is generally rated so highly.

Excellent food. Very Large portions, expensive though, but you really do get what you pay for. also, if your getting the spreads, i'd recommend the eggplant and the cheese. as for desserts, the coconut cake is delicious, and not very coconuty!

The main entrees are very delicious and good portion which worth the price. However the appetizers are very expensive and small portions. We ordered two octopus which $19 each but still hardly find octopus on the plate. And 4 the calamari also relatively small portions. Lucky they are tased okay.

During the week there is plenty of parking available. It is a well decorated and comfortable environment. They offer many specials and the food that we got, a Beef & Lamb Gyro and Chicken Skewer on Pita were delicious. They also have the most wonderfully crispy and herbed french fries.

The first server wasn't as knowledgeable/understandable as I (an older person) needed, so I ordered off the menu rather than getting their specials. BUT, the food we got was amazing, and the owner, George, visited us at our table asking for feedback. It is the most genuinely Greek food I've had in the neighbourhood.

Every part of our experience was wonderful. The food was so yummy! We had the octopus appetizer which was fantastic. The dressing on the Greek salad was light and delicious. The sea bass could not have been better. We took home the baklava which did not disappoint at all. Every bite was mouth watering. The service was up to the same high standard of the food. We will be back with our friends and our family.

This is our new favorite restaurant! Been there twice and it has exceeded our expectations both times. Great menu with a variety of options. Dolmadakia's are an absolute must try. We can't wait to go back and try more!

We enjoyed our visit to Ela Mesa Taste of Greece. Our waiter was a little surly, and we witnessed him showing open disdain to a family that brought a baby into the restaurant. The food was quite good and it is a cozy little place. A bit pricey for Germantown, but not completely out of one's comfort zone.

It was our first time to dine at Ela Mesa and we had a great experience. Everything was delicious,from appetizers,main course to dessert. I had that special fish (halibut) that day,that was suggested by our waiter and it was superb! Staff were friendly and knowledgable. Ela Mesa is definitely our new Favorite!

Restaurant was great. The food was delicious. When we arrived it was quiet and not many patrons were there. As we had our dinner more patrons arrived and the noise level increased slightly but did not impact our dining experience. Would definitely recommend for authentic Greek food.

Very busy on a Saturday night. This was our first time there. Waited an hour for our food, no apology, no bread while we waited and no one checked in on us. That being said the food was excellent and at the end we received a complimentary dessert. So we will go back but hopefully they are able to improve on service.

Our appetizers, avgolemono soup and zucchini chips with tzatziki sauce, were delicious. I tried one of the specials, lamb's neck, which was very good. My wife enjoyed her lamb shank which I helped her finish. We got dessert which was coconut cake with vanilla custard and honey. We enjoyed everything. This was our second visit and there will be many more.

Everything from the food, to the presentation was outstanding. I had the lamp chops and they were done to perfection, my husband had the salmon and loved it. We had the ceaser salad also and the bread was so yummy too. A Greek honey style cake for dessert and all was perfect!

When we got to the restaurant there wasn’t a table available for us so we decided to wait at the bar. Our bartender, Lizzie, was very charming and attractive as well as attentive so, we decided to have our dinner at the bar.

We were greeted promptly with a smile. Service was well paced, we never felt rushed. My dining companion had grown up in Greece and said this was the best restaurant food she’s eaten! As a non Greek I would agree! The prices were comparable to other nice restaurants. Definite going back!
