I would absolutely recommend ECP for a special occasion. I went for the first time for a birthday gathering and was very impressed. Everyone had an immaculate plate, and we were well taken care of by our server Chase. The cocktails were great and not overpriced. It was an absolute 10/10.

The food was absolutely great. We had the octopus and rainbow sushi as our apps, then we had the Filet, with mashed potatoes mushrooms and asparagus. I have to say it was one of the best meals I've had in Richmond. We will definately come again for another date night.

Our first visit to East Coast Provisions, and won't be our last. All our choices were splendid, and we were seated in a comfortable, upstairs backroom with lovely light through the windows. Our server was personable, and just attentive enough, allowed us time to enjoy. The sea salt foam margaritas were delish---as were the calamari, truffle fries, octopus, flounder sandwich, lobster roll, and seared salmon. Perfect for Mother's Day---or any special occasion.

Had an exceptional experience for a graduation lunch party of ten. The management and staff were incredibly accommodating and helpful in making our event special. Addison, our waiter was super and friendly. He made sure everything was orchestrated perfectly. The food was great too! We will definitely visit again.

Everything was great I just wish our server didn’t come by every 2-5 minutes to ask if we are all good rushing us out the door :( . Perhaps reservations shouldn’t be offered after 8:00 if it’s going to be upsetting for the server lol.

What I first noticed was the incredibly noisy group at the opposite side of the room, but since the room was not large and the walls were not made for cancelling noise at all, I had to repeat myself to my wife (and vice-versa) multiple times until that group was served food. In other words, we were unable to have a normal conversation until that group was served food. Bread that we paid for was not automatically served with butter until we requested it. Similarly, ice tea was not served with sweetener packets. In both instances, the server did not suggest whether butter or sweetener packets would be desired. However, when we requested those items, they were brought promptly. It could be that the servers were trained to bring those items only if requested. Beyond those snafus, service was excellent. The food preparation was excellent!

The crab cakes were so very delicious, some of the best I have had. The calamari was a bit salty with the sauce, and a little over done, but still very good. We loved the food. However, the table of 4 behind us were so loud we could hardly hear one another. The table across seemed unhappy with the loud guests as well.

Kaitlyn was a great server as she was very attentive and kind. The food was just ok though. A little more attention to detail would've made it good. 1. The bread basket was a disappointment. It was basically two slices of regular sandwich bread lightly toasted with olive oil drizzled over it. Maybe I was expecting too much, but for $4 I was expecting more.- a few sourdough rolls or french bread slices with butter or seasoned olive oil dip. Chill the salad plate and use dried french bread croutons - not regular bread for the Kale Salad. The octopus should've come with toast points. Add a small lemon wedge or lemon peel to the Lemon Drop martini Finally, add a condiment for the Fried Grouper sandwich... i asked for the Honey Sambal and that made the sandwich. Overall, wa

The food and service were wonderful. We ate upstairs in the back room which was homey and relaxing. The sun was a little bit of an issue when we first sat down, but we didn't notice it after a few minutes. Would highly recommend.

I came a few weeks ago for a birthday dinner with a friend, and everything was so good I suggested my husband and I go there for our anniversary as well. Everything I've tasted so far has been incredible - special shout out for the fresh well cleaned oysters, the calamari, the chilled lobster roll, and the gelato (have had 2 flavors now and neither disappointed in the slightest). We don't drink but had some lovely "no-jitos" that were delicious. I did put down that it was our anniversary on the form, but that did not seem to prompt anything special. The restaurant is well laid out so that even though we were pretty close to some other diners, it still felt private and like we weren't involved in other people's conversations nor they ours. Bonus points for gender neutral bathrooms, nice touch!

This is one of our fav restaurants in Richmond but this time just wasn’t as great as it usually is. Service was very slow and our rockfish and mahi were very dry. Every other time the food is usually much better. I will probably stick with my lobster roll next time.

People at two tables near us were very loud. We found ourselves leaning across the table to talk to our friends. Until then, it was a very nice evening. Unfortunately, the server was yucking it up with one table, which egged them on with more raucous laughter.

Haven't been to East Coast for a while - went for Restaurant Week and am happy to report that it's as good as ever. PLUS I love it when restaurant's who participate in RWW do not skimp on the servings even though they aren't making as much as they normally would. The shrimp and grits were wonderful with an abundance of large shrimp and my wife reported that the salmon was delicious. We'll be going back more often!

If they didn't keep turning the lights down more and more they would get one more star. Service was good, bar generous, and several remarkable dishes: Blackened Mahi was awesome, Fish Taco dinner also. The later can have a last one for tomorrow. The fish taco appetizer was very different than the dinner and also remarkable. Overall a great experience.

Hostess made eye contact with my party a few times and almost didn’t want to acknowledge us…I mean, let’s not make it awkward or anything…phew. Wine pours sucked and it was SO LOUD inside-felt like we had to yell to be heard at our own table. But the food was fresh and delicious and the server was amazing. We will go back for happy hour, but not dinner.

Dined on a Saturday at 11:30 am. Hostess and waitress were very welcoming, and informed us that they were out of everything Sushi, as well as Octopus. Had put down that we were celebrating our son's 26th Birthday, but no acknowledgment was made by the restaurant...Had to send back several app plates due to being very dirty, as well as one of the napkin/utensil sets that had a long, dark hair come out of it when opened up. Bubbly Fizz drinks were very good, and reasonably priced. So was the Falcon Smash and the Cucumber Mojito. Calamari to start was done very nicely, and was adequate for four to share. Our group ordered a Fried Oyster Poboy, three Crab Cake sandwiches, one with Truffle Fries ...all were presented and prepared nicely.

The rockfish and my cocktail were delicious and our server was great! It went downhill from there. The truffle fries were burnt to the point that they clinked on a plate if dropped. They were terrible. The fish tacos were over fried and dried out. They lacked sauce and when questioned, the server said the slaw was “the sauce.” My wife was upset that her cocktail tasted completely different than mine ( we both ordered the pineapple coconut Mojito’s.) The $84 bill was not worth it. We will not recommend and never go back.

Not blown away but service was good. We had to send truffle fries back because they were cold. Second batch came to table hot but very greasy. The section where we dined upstairs was loud and it felt like you were yelling to hear one another at table. Only one bathroom upstairs for guest to use and it wasn’t clean. Oysters were great!
