What Insiders Are Saying
Duck Duck Goat is a high-end Chinese restaurants that's always fun with excellent and interesting food.
Was very good. Got to try some new dishes will be back in again to try more new things.
Service was very good. Food was ok had better tasting Chinese food. Drinks are great!
Food was deliciously prepared and served in a timely manner. Really enjoyed the scallion pancakes and octopus salad.
Fun and interesting menu — very delicious.
Another great meal. Wonderfully imaginative dishes. One request though— bring back the Fried Chicken Fried Rice!!! It was the best thing in the menu
The food was delicious. We ordered a variety of dish and they we all quite good. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable about the food and drinks. Enjoyed my bit celebration there.
Great ambiance. Great service. The food was decent but I was expecting so much more.
They ruin great favorite standard dishes by trying to make them different. Why fry the noodles in chicken chow fun? They become crunchy and hard. The shrimp toast and crab rangoon were pretty bad too!😣
Our server was totally on point, even cancelling a dish when we were reaching food overload, the dishes were delicious (skip the spring rolls, they are good but there are many better other options) and the beef and marrow potstickers were amazing. Was glad to see that every purchase of that item included a charitable donation! Place is high energy, even on a Tuesday night. Please offer sciracha for hot sauce - that habanero stuff is deadly!
We loved every detail on the menu and in the decor. This is a special place!
Great, great place! Can’t say enough good things about the service, attention to detail and consistency. The food is fantastic and the layering of flavors is superb! I don’t think you can find a better place in Chicago!! I moved outside my comfort zone to try new items and have always been pleased I did! Take a group so you can sample as much of the menu as you can!
Interesting take on Chinese food, really good pekan cauliflower and fried rice. Expected it to be busy and delicious like the other Goat restaurants, which is was. They also staggered the dishes we ordered. It was mainly fine, but fried rice came out last, which was a disappointment as we typically like to eat it with mains. Also, after stating that 1 out of two guests wasn't a meat eater and ordering 2 mains (one meat one not) we got each of the mains, with nothing else separate. This happens at other restaurants, so it's not surprising but it also doesn't seem very hard to let us enjoy our main dishes together vs me watching my husband eat.
We really enjoyed Duck Duck Goat. We were seated in a smaller room in the back, and conversation was easy. One of our diners is vegan, and was given a special menu with options clearly spelled out. Everyone enjoyed all the food.
Great food - the prix fixe brunch menu was super affordable for the variety of courses. Servers were helpful and attentive. Only criticism is courses came too quickly together, which didn’t allow ample time to enjoy each course.
Amazing experience...would gladly visit again!
My favorite in Chicago!
Amazing flavor and atmosphere. New takes and fine dining experience on classic Chinese fare. Fun for dates, special occasions or just for a great meal
Nothing exceptional. Overpriced and underwhelming Chinese food in a well-decorated space with really talented waitstaff. Depends on what you are looking for, but overall taste experience left nothing memorable here...
Stephanie Izard knocks it out the park as always. We went for dim sum. Food was phenomenal. Service was great. Would go back again and again and again. Make sure to
Try the wings. Somewhat new on the menu, and did not disappoint.
Food excellent and very flavorful! It took a long time for a server to come to our table, the table next to us was seated, had drinks and one dish before we were greeted by a server. The server thanked us for waiting and promptly brought us our drinks and a complimentary dish, spring rolls (which were delicious!). It was a good save! Other than that hiccup, the food, drinks, ambiance, and server were excellent. Highly recommend this place.
Amazing food, the eggplant dish was to die for! I could go back tonight to just try more!
We had 7 pm reservations and did not get seated until 7:45 pm.
Ian at the bar was first class all the way! The cucumber salad was my favorite!
Decor is always the icing on the cake! So many good things it is hard to only call one or two out! The Goat Slap Noodles though are always worth it. The Mango Cloud dessert is also a must try
The second time I've been and an oustanding take on Chinese food. Many of the dishes are simple but packed full of flavor. Always creative and at times it doesn't seem like the ingredients go together but they always do. Highly recommended especially you are a "traditional" take out fan. Cheers!
The best Chinese food ever! Staff is wonderful and offered great suggestions. The slap noodles and the guava dessert should not be missed!
We were a party of two and had the Dim Sum brunch. Everything was delicious and we thought it was a great value at $24/pp. The only thing that was weird is that we had 5+servers. Twice in a row someone asked if we still had more food coming even though we were only halfway through the courses. They also brought the cucumbers last which was weird after the main dishes. Overall, I would go back. We left with happy, full bellies.
Everything was great...service, atmosphere and food!
Had a great time and even got some special treats for my birthday.
Food was just okay (overpriced Chinese takeout is how I would describe it), but service was prompt and nice.
Great food, great service, and great ambiance. Great start to a night out.
This is one of my favorites restaurants in Chicago. Everything on the menus is absolutely delicious.
Amazing food. Pricey but definitely worth it. Had dim sum and ordered about half the menu, everything was delicious especially the duck fried rice, beef slap noodles, and one of the soups. 5/5.
Great place to celebrate a 30th birthday--fabulous food and fun decor.
Duck Duck Goat was fabulous. I loved the food, and the service was great too. Jerome was so kind and took good care of us. The drinks were very good, although I was disappointed to find that the Win Some You Dim Sum was not on the menu anymore. I can't wait to come back to Chicago and go to Duck Duck Goat.
Awesome time. Great place for a fresh experience!
Fantastic place to bring friends who have good taste in "Chinese" food. Absolutely delicious dishes and superior service that puts this place over the top.
Though the service was excellent, the food was good but not really great and the value was not that worthwhile. The noise level was beyond "energetic" -- really too much for a place for dinner. This all might fit the environment of restaurants in the Fulton Market area, but this is not a place where I think I will return.
