We were recommended here by a friend from Iran who said this was one of the most authentic restaurants in the area and this did not disappoint. The Kabob Torsh was fantastic. Service was prompt. Will definitely be returning.

Service was immaculate and the place is pretty! they check on you and are very quick. It's pretty loud in there because it's popular and busy, so there are times when you can't hear the person next to you, but otherwise awesome. It is considered fine dining so the prices are pretty high, but portions were also reasonable and not teeny tiny. I would definitely be back!

Our website also states that we offer Lunch on Tuesdays-Fridays only. If you had mentioned your confusion to our manager, he would have told you as well. Stellar restaurant. We have been several times and it’s great. The sea bass is particularly excellent. Outstanding (and generous) servings of wine. The service is impressive and gives very reliable recommendations. One of the best dining options in Mclean.

Service was awesome! Super knowledgeable and friendly server! The non-alcoholic drinks were delicious and beautiful! Highly recommend the hibiscus-rose! Especially loved the stuffed trout. The hazelnut torte for a birthday at our table came on a special plate. Water glasses were attentively filled whenever they were getting low. Overall, a wonderful experience!

This is my second time here, and I was so excited to come back!! I came with a girlfriend who had never been and she just said it was fabulous. We ended up sitting at the bar cause I wanted to try the happy hour menu. Everything was great. Nice choices good size of everything for sharing. We shared the lamb shank, which I would say might’ve been a little overtime because it was just in my opinion too easily coming off the bone. Otherwise it was just fabulous. I will definitely come back.!! oh! can’t forget about the dessert. Persian ice cream with a little espresso and chocolate flat chips was fab, fab, fab.

We perhaps we ordered the wrong things… the octopus appetizer was tough. My wife found her Persian stew with chicken tasty, but my Persian macaroni was very bland. Service staff was quite attentive but the kitchen was sloooow. Too expensive for the experience . Glad we tried it, but it’s doubtful we’ll return.

This was our second time dining at Divan. Appetizers and entrées were varied, fresh, and delicious! Entrées were very generous portions. Consistently good on all counts! Staff was helpful and friendly. The weather was warm and inviting when we arrived, but a thunder storm quickly moved in. Staff was efficient and gracious as they moved everyone to drier spaces and closed the glass doors. Cannot wait to return! Highly recommend!

We greatly enjoyed our dinner with friends at Divan. Everyone loved their entree lamb dishes (chops Shandiz and lamb shank) and the salmon and a side order of spinach. The shrimp Divan and the Kookoo Sabzi were standout appetizers. Terrific and personable service - great suggestions for wine and menu guidance.

The staff proactively took care of my party of 3. It was so pleasant to know we could take as much as needed to enjoy our dinner as well as know that steps could be taken to expedite our need to end a meal soon. The ambiance is great. Most importantly, the food is exceptional. It was a great way to celebrate my sister's birthday. It'll be an evening we will remember with great fondness. We intend to return!

Grilled octopus and eggplant dip were two of the table's favorite apps. Stuffed trout, lamb shank, and filet kabob were well enjoyed. Tiramisu only lasted 2 min :) inventive cardomon rose latte was a fine finish.

The stuffed trout - Mahi Shekampoor - was outstanding. A very special dish - make sure you order it. My companion also ordered the Shrimp Divan appetizer and begrudgingly let me try a shrimp. Also outstanding. I had several cups of Persian tea. So relaxing and life-reaffirming. I can see how that tea would be a staple of everyday life and of special occasions. And, finally, the host was delightful; he wanted to make sure, every step of the way, that we were comfortable and happy. (We are older folk, and my companion is hard of hearing. They chose a lovely table to for us.)

Very disappointing. We like Iranian food, and were looking forward to Divan. We did share an amazing grilled octopus appetizer, but both entrees were very disappointing. While the sauce for the Fesanjan stew was good, the chicken itself was completely flavorless. The Khoresht Bademjan stew also had little flavor and not much lamb or eggplant. Our server was positive.

Excellent Persian cuisine with great service. Cocktails are great, entrees are great, and the deserts are also worth having. It can get a little noisy, but this is to be expected in a place that brings in people that want to be there. This is a hidden gem that you might pass by if you did not know it was located where it is. Definitely worth a visit.

We sat down for almost 1 hour until we got the food. The server was rushing us all the time. The food quality is getting worse in the last few times I've been there. Rice was over cooked. Chicken Kermanshahi was something made up tasted like it had blue cheese in it. It was tasteless. I doubt I'd go there anymore.
