Our new private space, The Portrait Room, can accommodate up to 40 people. Featuring floor to ceiling windows, this space is perfect for private dining or intimate parties. Inquiries can be submitted on our website.

This was my second time here. This time I invited a friend who likes wine tastings and good brunch food. We ordered the breakfast platter, which had bacon, sausage, eggs, potatoes, and waffles. Delish! The drinks were also very good. We ended the day with wine tasting. The Harvest Selection had some great wines. I would definitely recommend.

We just went for dinner, did not do a tasting. Very nice view of the river, outdoor seats are under cover from rain. Food was a real treat. Only 5 entrees on the menu but lots of appetizers, shareable dishes, and two large boards, one charcuterie and one Farmers board (all vegetables), each serves 2-4. So we just got the charcuterie and two delicious sharable plates great variety and unusual preparation, not your typical starter menu. We went on a Sunday and the bottle of wine we ordered was half price.

I go to District Winery 3-4 times per year. Love the location. I find the food and environment to be uneven and inconsistent. Lots of starters and shareable but few entrees. The menu changes too frequently which means you cannot rely on returning for certain beloved menu items. One of my biggest complaints is the temperature. It's always too cold inside in summer, spring, fall or winter.

This was a fabulous dinner! We were able to get a bunch of sharable options and try half of the menu. The staff was outstanding and helpful -- quick to provide recommendations. They also had a wide variety of mocktails in addition to their alcohol menu which was very much appreciated and tasty.

Absolutely love this place! Went for restaurant week and the menu options were great. The charcuterie board was good and fingerling potatoes that we got for the appetizer was impeccable. Everyone needs to get those for sure. The GM personally approached our table and thanked us for coming, which I appreciated. Staff overall was just amazing. I’ve always loved this place, but this previous visit just made me love them more.

We did not eat, and it wouldn’t allow me to skip that on the survey. We did drink and really enjoyed the drinks and the view from the patio. The bartender was very helpful in helping us decide what we would like. We definitely recommend and would definitely return the next time we are in DC.

We went on a Sunday because I read on the website that they offered half price bottles of wine on Sunday nights. The small plates were fine and the service was good. There was a problem with the check (they charged us full price for the wine) but it was corrected immediately. Not sure I’d return for a full priced experience but if you happen to go on a Sunday night, it’s okay. I would recommend skipping dessert. Our strawberry/rhubarb crumble was more like a strawberry/ rhubarb soup with oatmeal on top.

We had a wonderful evening sitting on outside covered patio. Beautiful breeze blowing through. We did several small plates to share, enjoyed some more than others. Loved the risotto, tomato and bursts , garlic shrimp and broccolini. The tuna crudo was ok but not sure I would order again because there were so many other delicious choices.

The wait staff was not attentive. A waitress blatantly walked right past my table without assisting us. The food menu has changed completely from a few years ago. The new menu does not have as many options as the previous, and the food is over priced for the portions and quality.

There was an outdoor event (unrelated to the restaurant) going on so it was pretty loud but we didn’t mind it. I’d just say that the staff didn’t really check back in with us, they ran out of some menu items which they tried to make up for by saying they would comp other items we ordered but they didn’t, and almost charged us for the item that ran out. They corrected the receipt but it didn’t feel like an outstanding experience. I will say though, the cocktails are good.

My friends and I went for dinner and compared to the previous times I’ve been for dinner, this last experience didn’t leave me with a good dining experience. First we received the wrong cheese order, then after ordering a cocktail, I was told they were out of the ingredients so they could not make my drink. After switching up my drink order they proceeded to bring food out before bringing out any drinks or plates. I don’t know how the food came out so quick, but we had to wait a while to get our drinks. Once we were ready to pay for our meal, I noticed that o was still billed the cocktail I originally ordered but never received so I had to tell the waiter to adjust the bill. Overall, I expected better service and quality of food from District Winery because I have frequented many times and have loved all my previous experiences.

Absolutely amazing experience! Lovely atmosphere with kind and polite staff from the moment we arrived to the second we stepped out. Chef Nicholas is a fabulous artist who transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary. His attention to detail makes for an unforgettable and delicious meal. Not to mention how beautiful each and every plate was prepared. The exceptional dining experience provided by District Winery and its remarkable Chef will forever remain one of my favorites in the DMV area. If you seek an evening of culinary delight, I absolutely recommend visiting and experiencing what Chef Nicholas Fulginiti creates!

First and foremost, this is the BEST team and quality legendary service! The tasting team and events team took the time to help with pulling off an engagement and they did it with so much support and without qualms. I really appreciate and the dinner after with friends was fantastic. Thank you so much! We’re looking forward to going back. Our table was really impressed with how the restaurant went above and beyond!

great knowledge by server on wines. got to taste some cool varietals i never had before. I was catching up with a friend and we just kind of grazed through the menu so it was awesome to taste different wines, sample small plates, and look on the river. Service was on point but not pushy which i appreciated. Chefs whim was so fun and great talking point.

Amazing food and drink. District winery combines incredible food and location with an unpretentious approach to city produced wine. Add to that a feeling of personalised service you really can’t beat it for an urban winery. Order the sweet heat chicken, maybe twice, and the chocolate truffles were the perfect meal ender.
