Great service and food
On the 3rd floor of Queen Kapiolani Hotel, it is an open air restaurant. They use fans instead of AC, so it may be warm and humid if the weather is like that. Food is good and reasonably priced. Service can be slow and overwhelmed, where they make mistakes or not attend to refilling your water. Overall it is a good experience. There is even live music when we went.
Thanksgiving dinner was wonderful. The food was really delicious. The views are wonderful. The really amazing part was the spectacular service. From the Manager to wait staff, everyone was a team. All the service was so attentive and kind. If that’s how they are for a busy holiday, they must be amazing for everyday.
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving evening at the Deck. Amazing atmosphere, music, food and staff. The reviews of this place did not disappoint. Will certainly be coming back.
Thanksgiving dinner was amazing!
Beautiful setting. Food was okay. Service very slow. It appears they are understaffed.
Great view, service, and food! Watch out on windy days though, if you plan to eat outside!
The outdoor dining with the diamond head view along with the great tunes provided by live music made our dinner :) thank you for hosting us. This establishment is great for families and pet owners. The bar is nice for me on the fly meet up.
We had a great time at Deck. It was probably my favorite meal of the trip! The ambiance was great - the decor was very cute and the dj played fun, upbeat music. We had the tacos, salmon, and I had a margarita. The salt on the margarita was so good! The Brussels that came with the salmon were very yummy too. I would absolutely recommend.
My 40th birthday
Great food, amazing view, super slow service. I have been here 3 times now and every time service is extremely slow. We wait 10 minutes to get drink orders taken, another 15 to get drinks, 45 to get food, and they have 1.5 hour time limit.
All staff was polite.
Great live music, wonderful food, lovely server.
Savannah was absolutely spectacular!!!!
Service is very good. I would like to visit again.
Super good food. But definitely very busy. Had a reservation and people who were walk ins were greeted before me after I had been waiting at the counter to check in. Was seating in the lounge area with no view, noisy but waiter was very attentive, rushing us out a little but still kind.
Great brunch spot to catch up with friends! Unique variations on traditional breakfast foods - everyone in our group enjoyed their meals. We will be back for sure!
Disappointing from start to finish. You cannot park at the hotel. Had to park down and across the street at the zoo which is dark and not in the best neighborhood. Valet was too busy dropping F bombs with his buddy to assist us and then flippantly told us there’s no parking here and we need to go park elsewhere. We almost left as soon as we were seated for that reason and honestly we should have. I would’ve rather saved the $130 and had dinner at McDonalds.
Sat at our table and service was horrible from start to finish. Food is mediocre at best. Super small portions. My daughter’s steak was mostly fat, my chicken was decent with literally one spoonful of mashed potatoes, that’s it. My husband’s salad was small and meh. Creme brûlée was watery and mushy and the worst I’ve ever had and I’ve had a lot as it’s my favorite dessert. Do yourself a favor and save your money, or spend it at another place that’s tried and true. This place was overpriced and underwhelming.
Best view of Diamond Head in Waikiki! Pleasant food, great service. Tip, ask for a table with shade unless you love direct sun!!
Nice views and we had an amazing server. The food was ok at best and drinks overpriced I guess you are paying extra for the view. I had the chicken and in theory it should have been good with the spices, but the prep was so bad the skin was tough to eat I missed that it was flash fried but it just didn’t work I shouldn’t have to saw at food.
Great place. Beautiful night dinner location overlooking the park.
Great service and menu! Nice seating and ono food/drinks!
Everything is excellent except the portion of the food that is too small for the price.
Great food, great service, recommend getting there before sunset as the view is great too!
What a great place to have dinner and watch both the sun setting on the beach and the diamond head view. The food was great and the service was top notch. We are definitely coming back here for one more dinner before we leave. Highly recommend it.
I always love coming to Deck for happy hour or brunch. This time, I came for an intimate dinner, and enjoyed everything! Drinks were fantastic, our server was very knowledgable and friendly, and the food/music - can't complain. Will be returning soon!
Wonderful wonderful food and service! Beautiful too!
Jessica's drinks were amazing. Food was good too, but the drinks were AMAZING!
Not impressed with food and service
Great ambiance, you can see diamond head and the beach. Great service, great food, a little on the pricier side, especially for drinks (their HH menu shrunk a decent amount), that being said, it's still a really cute rooftop bar, I'd highly recommend esp during sunset!
The noise level was much too loud to have any sort of conversation with our party. Unfortunately, that may have been my fault, as I had not read extensively on this restaurant before booking. Live music was playing, and although the band was good, the music inundated any attempt at conversation. We visited on a Monday night and just didn’t expect that we would be a club setting. We ordered steaks cooked medium rare. One arrived rare and one arrived half medium and half medium rare. Each steak dinner was $50, but wasn’t worth the value, given the quality of the meat and the preparation of the meal. If you are on any sort of dietary restriction, this menu is nearly impossible to navigate with it being so limited.
The highlight of our experience was that another patron brought in a medium sized dog. It wasn’t a service dog, as it did not have the proper tags or labeling. In assuring, the service staff pet the dog, so 1) it was definitely not a service dog, 2) they then CARRIED/TOUCHED silverware, glasses, and carried food out without washing their hands.
We are local and wanted to go somewhere in our beck of the woods, but will likely never visit this restaurant again.
Maybe a little surprised by the price on cocktails and dinners.
Enjoyed the salmon with Brussel sprouts. Very well prepared. Alisa was an excellent server.
The pricing was a little high but an nice way to spend an evening catching up with a good friend
Good food, nice place to relax have cocktails and enjoy the view of Diamond Head👍But most of all very friendly staff👏👏
Drinks took a little bit to get to us. Bar seemed a little behind. Food took almost too long to get to us but was good. Great vine even after sun went down.
Had some friends come in town and was looking for a nice place to have drinks and dinner. I was not disappointed. Everything was fabulous! I’m definitely going there again and it may well be my ‘go-to’ place when guests come to visit.
Terrific ambiance and awesome views of Diamond Head. We had the best, most attentive AND fun waiter! Our party of 6 had a fun evening and dinner.
I was disappointed at the experience. I was getting together for my best friend’s going away. And this was the worst place to pick.
The greeter was sassy and unhelpful. We were seated right out in the middle of the deck next to a huge party who was noisy so I asked if we could be moved somewhere more quiet.
I asked a waitress who was passing by if we could switch and she said, “oh I don’t do that, that’s not our job, you have to talk to the front people” and walked on. How rude. Walked up to the front and no one was there…I see someone finally walking back after a couple of minutes and asked to be moved and she seemed annoyed.
Service was terrible. Our water glasses were empty most of the dining experience so I had to ask for more water. The food took nearly 35 minutes to get and it was just a poke bowl and my friend had eggs and sausage. It took forever to get a coffee and mimosa as well. No one asked how we were doing or if we needed anything.
Furthermore, the ahi was sparse and was not as described. There was no avocado and barely any ogo. It was disappointing and a rip off for sure. The eggs were dry and sausage was salty—hence the need for water.
Horrible experience. Wish I hadn’t ruined the goodbye by coming to this restaurant. Would NOT recommend to anyone.
Great service and great food. We had a picture perfect view of Diamond Head.
Hopefully, the power washing of the deck right next to the eating area powered by a very noisy generator is a rare occurrence. It was VERY loud.
