@culinarydropout is coming to Old Town Orange! GRAND OPENING October 29. The vibes are great here. They have indoor and outdoor seating. They have a small menu, but everything listed sounds good. They offer valet service, but there’s street parking or public parking across the street. We got to try their Pretzels with provolone fondue, Crispy Shrimp, Roasted Salmon, and Korean Style Ribcap. For drinks, we got the Two to Mango and the Hass. Be sure to save room for their Monkey Bread dessert. TAG and FORWARD to a friend that loves trying to spots. 📍191 N Orange St, Orange, CA #grandopening #oldtowneorange #OC #lunchideas #dinnerideas #ocfoodie #foodblogger #orangecounty #culinarydropout

Dinner was great. Our pretzel app was delicious, the crunchy roll, fish n chips and ribeye sandwich, all top notch. Our server warmed up but was a little short with us to start. Not sure why, we’re all human so we don’t get too bothered by it. The only drawback was the restaurant is very dark. Like, too dark to be able to see the menu or food. We were at a center table, no light nearby. The outside booths and tables seemed to have lamps.

Everything was good, Brenan was a great waiter. Service was amazing. The only thing is the lighting is too dark in the evening.

The food was good but most of it was cold. The pretzel bites and cheese we had as an appetizer came out cold. The cheese was thick. We just kept them, but then the entrees were only lukewarm. We've eaten here before and never had this problem. We'll give it another try in a few months.

After "discovering" Culinary Dropout in Scottsdale a while back, was so excited to have them in Orange County. Delicious food and friendly attentive service. So good! We'll be back!

I should not have assumed that “Culinary” in the name implies at least some level of imagination in the recipes, even if the chefs were a “dropout.” It’s not anything that I couldn’t get at a BJ’s, Islands, or Chili’s. I can cook better at home for a lot less money.
