   TIP: Bring your own hot sauce / green Chile, and this place will be your favorite. Food was fresh, presentation was fantastic, but just lacked any kind of flavor. The free house salsa that comes with homemade tortilla chips is the only spicy thing you’ll find at this restaurant. Their hottest green chili is a joke, that tasted more like a Texas chili that even the waitress recommended that most people order jalapeños on the side to doctor it up. I’m not a fan of fajitas, but rather wanted to try their steak/carnitas tacos, so I went with their Tacos en Fuego off their taco menu (half carnitas/half steak). That plate is really just fajitas they light on fire at your table with tortillas served on the side. (Pretty cool presentation!!). The lime crème sauce it came with was good, but certainly not worthy of being paired with the “en Fuego” gimic. Flavor was as good as fresh ingredients can be, but lacked any kind of flavor beyond salt and parsley. Tried to add a cup of hot green chili, which fell flat too. We also ordered the southwestern eggrolls, but they tasted more like a Chinese springroll. We didn’t care to finish the eggrolls and the taco-fajitas and helped finish the wife’s burrito, which at least had sour crème on it to give it some kind of flavor. I mean there was so little flavor, I almost thought I maybe had Covid lol. I took it home and added some hot sauce, which helped tremendously.

    Can never get enough of the grilled vegetable salad. I like mine with salmon on top. Dressing is just right. The salmon has a very tasty coating and the vegetables are grilled right. Chips and salsa keep coming and the chips are nice and warm!

    been going there for years, moved away 8 years age and returned last night for dinner. The food, atmosphere and overall value was unchanged over the last 8 years! A great restaurant!

    Food seemed overcooked for both my wife and I. My chimichanga was fried too long and this was dry internally. My wife’s salmon was to be cooked medium and was quite close to well done. Salsa seems as if it came out if a container or jar, not very fresh seeming. Wait staff was wonderful and very attentive and responsive.

    We were met at the door by a not so friendly hostess when we arrived for a Mother's Day meal. She rudely asked if I was a mother (as if I needed to be one to be there! ). She didn't look like she wanted to work that day. Or maybe she's like this everyday?!! The waitress was outstanding but the food subpar. Not real Mexican food nor Tex-Mex. But the ambiance was nice. Not sure I'd go back again and for sure I would not recommend the restaurant to others.

    I had high hopes for this place, however coming from Texas I was disappointed. Sorry but the first judgement comes with the chips and salsa. Although chips were good they needed salt, more flavor and just did care for the salsa, for my taste no flavor and too tomatoey, could taste any of the spices or herbs. They have a decent selection of tequilas and my southwestern fish and chips tasted good, just wasn’t hot intact barely warm and the tiny little cup of chipotle tarter barely lasted for 1 piece of fish. My wife’s salmon tasted good but overcooked, the edge was uneatable. The Brussels were cooked perfectly but didn’t have much flavor. Just biased maybe because southwest food in Texas is full of flavor and this place is missing it as far as I’m concerned

    Overall, the restaurant was enjoyable, and the food was good. Service was just ok, apparently due to the fact that staffing is difficult these days. Finally, some of the pricing is a little high - $8 for a cup of soup?

    I did not want a full sized meal. I asked for a kid's burrito but was told it wasn't an option anymore. (The manager was nice enough to make an adjustment on the bill.) Yes, we might go there again but I will be wary of what I order.
