   It is so hard to book a restaurant you’ve never seen. Common lived up to every review I read. Food was excellent and well-prepared, service was friendly and helpful, and the price on happy hour oysters and drinks was great!

   Overall, would go back. Definitely would try different food. Currently, happy hour is from 3-7. Would go back and try happy hour items next go around. $80+ for one app and 2 entrees. We ended up having 6 drinks in total from the HH menu. Those drinks were $9 each. Final bill was over $150. Had the crab cake as an appetizer (the fried plantains were the best part), short rib (the cornbread was too sweet, ruined the dish) and the fried rice dish (it was ok…fish was overcooked). I believe they were short handed, wait for food was lengthy for just 2 of us. Drinks came out quickly. Again, wasn’t horrible and I would like to go back and try other things.

   The Hostess that greeted us was very polite and sat us immediately, we had a 5 pm reservation and arrived 5 mins early. The restaurant was clean and the tables were set very nice. The atmosphere is very comfortable. The server made awesome recommendations and we all enjoyed our food the short rib is amazing. Good place to eat. Highly recommend!

   I tried to make a reservation for 11 but had to book two reservations online (one for 5 and one for 6). When we arrived, they could have clearly sat us all together as there was a table of 2 in between us all. I had even gone by in person the day before to confirm and discuss. The food was very good but there could hav been some less adventurous brunch menu options. I would definitely go back though.

   This was our first time at Common and it did not disappoint. The food was great- we started with oysters, then I had the lobster Mac n cheese while the wife had the burger. The service was great and our bartender was very helpful when it came to giving us recommendations for what to eat and drink. The overall atmosphere was very welcoming as well. The only negative thing here was when I found a small piece of aluminum foil in my meal and let the bartender know. They were quick to address the minor issue and gave us a 10% discount. We had already booked another reservation for Saturday so needless to say, we are looking forward to eating there again.

   We sat in the bar area where the bench tables and chairs were so close our knees were touching under the table. Very uncomfortable. Food was good and waitress Nicky was wonderful. There were only 2 Cabernet Sauvignon wines by the glass offered on the wine list, both expensive. Recommend asking for seating in the dining area only. Poor bathroom cleanliness.

    Completely different approach to a short rib that was amazing. I really wanted a different meal from everything else around and wasn't sure what it was. Saw the options here at Common and drew me in. Had a creative twist of an old fashioned called Navy proof that really worked to be both different, strong, and tasty. Me lady friend has the Savoy and Scarlett salad. I had the Amazing short rib. Hit the spot on creativity. Yes the cornbread is super sweet, but really, really good with the collards and rib on top. We both attacked it! I did order another side of collards to keep the ratio for my liking. I would save the lower, crispy part of the cornbread for dessert like we did :o)

    Excellent restaurant experience. Food was delicious, and the ambience was superb. We were fortunate enough to sit a table overlooking the whole restaurant, so we were able to appreciate the scenery. Drinks were excellent and strong. Second time coming here, would recommend on a trip to Savannah.

    My husband and I enjoyed a fantastic meal, our favorite meal in Savannah! The service was outstanding. Our waitress described each meal suggestion perfectly, we even changed our order based on her recommendations! We will definitely place Common on our list the next time we visit!

    My steak was over cooked (I asked for medium it came well done) and seemingly was a very thick NY strip. My boyfriends lobster Mac was good. Waiter was awkward and had to be prompted for the specials, wanted us to order right away. And someone was spraying down a table and accidentally sprayed us. Not a great experience

    Great atmosphere, the food was very good, and although we had a great waiter named Ro, the staff was quite overworked, leaving long waits for drinks, dinner, and receiving the bill. Otherwise, it was a perfect evening, and I would recommend the restaurant to anyone.

    This was our first time here. Oysters were fantastic. Our server Sydney, suggested the Pineapple Situation and it was delicious. My husband had the lamb shank. Also delicious. We’d definitely come back.

    We were greeted and sat promptly upon arrival. Our waitress was very personable and had great suggestions. Each of us ordered different dishes and they were all were amazing. We would definitely! Love the vibe.

    I went for a friends birthday. We asked for bottomless mimosas thinking we could make our own, instead they poured you glasses individually. It was basically all OJ and they were to busy that we basically had two mimosas with our breakfast. I also ordered oysters that I got VERY sick from. I was puking for two days straight and almost went to hospital for food positioning. This was the only thing I ate besides the breakfast Mac and cheese which was chunky and salty. I never leave reviews like this because I am in the industry myself. But this was the absolute worst. I don’t understand what the hype is about on yelp. The food and service quality for what I paid was horrible.

    What a wonderful experience we had! They were wonderful in accommodating our seating request and really working to make our Mother's Day dining experience an excellent one. The six of us all loved the food on an overall amazing menu. Would highly recommend and will definitely return!

    Common is serving their unique twist on traditional dishes - using Kale vs. spinach in the Oyster Rockefeller, a "white" gumbo, green curry shrimp and grits, French toast points bread pudding, etc. I thought they were interesting and delicious. Portions were filling. Our servers recommended wine parings were spot on. Our server was friendly and efficient. Gret dining experience.

    Great atmosphere downstairs, but we were seated upstairs which was loud and didn’t have the same vibe, even though we had reservations. Seafood was overcooked but other items were good. Felt a bit rushed out of there. Perhaps a bad night for the kitchen, and I would request a downstairs table.
