Comedor is one of those restaurants that has become our little “best-kept secret.” The kitchen is consistently excellent, and once again, everything we ordered was perfectly prepared. This visit started a little differently. The restaurant was relatively empty when we arrived, and we asked to sit in a corner rather than directly in front of the kitchen. The person seating us seemed annoyed about having to move the tables, sighed, and made the moment a little uncomfortable. Thankfully, our regular server came over afterward and completely changed the tone of the evening. She recognizes us, is always genuinely attentive, and has a wonderful way of making returning guests feel special. This time, she even complimented my hair — a small gesture, but exactly the kind of personal attention that makes a difference. The food, as always, was excellent. That consistency is exactly why we keep coming back. Comedor remains one of our favorite restaurants.

We were seated in the pool area despite requesting indoor seating in the reservation and arriving with plenty of time. Staff were unable to provide enough glasses for the entire table and suggested plastic cups to enjoy a bottle of wine or sparkling wine. The food was okay, but the overall experience fell well below expectations, particularly given how the venue is advertised and the price point.

We had dinner before our flight back home, and Comedor was an excellent choice! Our waitress Gaby was outstanding, and everyone enjoyed their food and drinks.

Demasiado oscuro incluso para leer el menú personas mayores. La comida de mi acompañante llegó fría, hubo que regresarla. Hubo que perdir el agua. No la ofrecieron. Servían la comida y se desaparecían, su inamos a pedir algo más había que esperar que vinieran aparte de no había casi nadie en el salón. La bendita costumbre de barrer el piso y recigiendo la mesa del lado que desocuparon. Levantan el polvo del piso y uno cenando. Por último ni si quiera pregunan si estábamos estacionados allí para poder ponchar el ticket. En fin un desastre para una cena de madres. Sorry pero la experiencia No fue buena. Lo siento muchísimo.

We dined here last night and had a bit of a mixed experience. The food overall was quite good. The pork chop was the standout—crispy, flavorful, and cooked very well. The rice that came with it was also excellent, and the side of beans and rice was delicious. My wife ordered the chicken mac, which was rich and very gooey, but unfortunately it was heavily over-salted to the point where she barely touched it. The main issue for us was the service. We arrived with our two-year-old and let our server know we needed a quick turnaround, but service ended up being slower than expected despite her sating that a quivk turnaround would not be an issue. There were long gaps where she was absent, and not visible despite saying she’d be right back. A beer I ordered was forgotten and only brought out about 20 minutes later—though it was comped, it arrived when I was nearly done eating. I was also offered a proper knife for my pork chop only after I had essentially finished, meaning I had to cut through a crispy chop with a butter knife the entire time. When we asked for appetizer recommendations, the guidance wasn’t helpful—just a general “they’re both good” without any detail. When we mentioned the chicken mac was overly salty, there was no real acknowledgment or attempt to remedy the issue. the only response was "Really." one of the things we've noticed was that the restaurant is not busy. There were several open tables so it didn't seem like it was an issue of an overwhelmed kitchen At the end of the meal, we asked for the check and emphasized that we needed it as soon as possible. The server acknowledged this, but when she returned over 5 minutes later, she began wiping down nearby tables instead of bringing the check. We ultimately had to get up and ask again before it was finally brought over. The ambiance was pleasant—slightly noisy, but not overwhelming. Overall, the kitchen is doing a solid job, but the service needs improvement to match the quality of the food.
