Our Sunday Lunch was as expected. We have only one comment about the greens cabbage. The stalks were cooked with the greens and were extremely hard. My wife and both had to leave them. The beef was absolutely brilliant. Very lean, soft to eat and thoroughly enjoyable. We are not put off by this and will definitely be back. Thank You

We had a lovely few drinks in the beer garden before we ate. The garden had plenty of tables and had a lovely atmosphere. We then went inside to eat. The food was excellent and the service was very good. We really enjoyed the evening.

Very disappointed with my visit. I have been here several times, and never had an issue. However, we went Wednesday, which offers a supper club and there were 6 of us. I ordered flat iron chicken BUT the menu did not say it was on the bone, unfortunately I don't like anything on the bone, and when I pointed out that it didn't state on the menu it was on the bone, I was told "I don't make the menu" - that attitude was not necessary. My friend asked to swap chips for a vegetable, but was unaware she was being charged for the swap - if you're swapping something, I don't believe you should be charged for it, and if you are, the server should state that clearly. The same happened when someone asked for a different ice cream, and that was also charged, but again it was a swap not an addition. This led to confusion and a deficit on the bill because we weren't told the swaps would be charged. All in all, very disappointed, and unfortunately, I won't be rushing back any time soon, neither will my other 5 friends.

On arrival the pub looked really lovely and cute and the bartender greeted immediately. Take to the restaurant and was surprised that it was empty we was the only customers. Had a lovely view into the garden and waitress very attentive. Menu looked good and was expecting a decent meal. The food was very bland and underwhelming. Calamari to start which was very oily and only 5 pieces. Rack of lamb for main under seasoned and a very small portion for the price. the warm salad was more like a watery risotto and tasteless. Flat iron chicken was easily a children’s portion with just handful of chips. Bacon butter was just normal melted butter. Would go back for Drinks as it was a really lovely cosy pub with a very well maintained garden but not for the food they served for the price they charged.

Had a lovely meal at the College Arms on Sunday. The Sunday Roast is second to none and the service was great considering how busy they were. Go there regularly and will continue to do so

Well what a difference a couple of weeks makes.Booked a table in advance and when we sat down at a restaurant no where near as busy as previous visit,we were immediately told there would be a 45minute wait for food. Not great - but there with elderly family member and willing to wait as a bank holiday. Having gone past this point we raised the now even longer delay and were told would be a further 15 mins - this now at 1:15 mins. Having been very patient and with no offer of snacks or complimentary drinks we asked if we could maybe order some starters and we’re told no but by now we were starving. We told the waiting staff, who had changed over we were now approaching two hours wait with no food in sight and would be leaving, when our food got brought out. Nowwith one person given completely the wrong thing order and another with food lukewarm and somewhat burnt. Bearing in mind we are talking toasted sandwiches and burgers here there is no excuse for a delay like this and it seemed people walking in were prioritised at the bar. A totally ruined family lunch- so very disappointing. Clearly not the waiting staffs fault but don’t take bookings that you cannot fulfil.

25 mins for a drinks order, red cabbage was soggy, beef was tough. The dog enjoyed it! Roast potatoes were lovely. Haven’t been for 12 months or so and it wasn’t as good as last time.
