   If you advertise a dish to share and the waiter volunteers to dish up the soup, please train them to dish up equally the bits of fish, the mussels, the shrimps and the rest. The bouillabaisse is overpriced. And the « rouille » is aïoli BTW. Nice presentation, hip decor and polite staff.

   We've dined out all over the world, enjoying everything from street and shack food to starred Michelin cuisine. Our meal at Cocotte was a delight form the moment we walked in. A lovely, minimalist serene environment, which was most welcome after the noisy bistros of Byward Market, paired with impeccable service to delight us. OUr server wss knowledgeable and professional. Our meals were exquisitely presented and perfectly prepared. best of all, they were absolutely delicious.

   Good food and service. Portions are reasonable. Lots of seating, but can be a bit chilly, so food might get cold quickly too.

   Visited Cocotte for the first time with my sister. Fantastic service + food. We were initially planning on only staying for dinner but we enjoyed the ambience, cocktails and service so much we ended up staying for a 3 hour sitting and continued having drinks! Highly Recommend.

   Restaurant is tucked inside a boutique hotel, decor is super trendy. We were there for a dinner, right before we sat down we were told that it is a very busy place so we have to leave in 2 hours. Not a problem I expect to finish the dinner in 1 and half hour anyways so that we can visit the Tulip Festival show. The service was not the most attentive from our own server. I have been observing others and hostess they were great! Long story short, kitchen tend to back up with orders and food came out very slow. Our next table waited 45 mins for their main course, server ended up comp their drink.

    Our server was amazing. We started with the "fromages et charcuterie" and "parfait de foie". I would like to suggest to add a few extra "pain croustillant" to the "fromages et charcuterie" board as well as a few extra "pain grillé" with the parfait de foie. The main dishes were well priced and portioned (my daughter and husband had the "steak et frites" and my son in law and myself had the "joues de veau braisées"). We shared 2 desserts amongst the 4 of us ("tarte au citron" and "Ottawa-Brest") and they were absolutely delicious! As for the wine and cocktails, I personally thought they were a bit over-priced. I was disappointed that there was no Pinot Grigio on the "by the glass" menu. Our total bill was $370 and I gave a $75.00 tip to our server so the total for our evening was $445.00 which was less than I expected. All in all, we all enjoyed our evening and we will definitely return :)

    Flat out disappointing. Service was very poor. Food was mixed. Beef was good. Salmon special and asparagus soup was bland, very little flavours. Would not recommend, expensive, not good value. Go somewhere else.

    We booked for a birthday date and were so impressed with the whole experience. The drinks, dinner, and dessert were absolutely delicious. Our server was fabulous, she was highly attentive and really wonderful. We will definitely be back!

    Cocotte is a real find. We were travelling to Ottawa and came across it by accident. The food was so good that we went back again the next night. Better again. Staff were very professional friendly and accommodating. Prices were reasonable and certainly in market range. Sommelier is very knowledgeable

    Cocotte is a beautifully designed bistro in the heart of downtown Ottawa. We started with a couple of their signature cocktails. Very good and unique tastes. I had the artic sling. For dinner we had the artic char and steak frites. The artic char was coated in almond flour and nuts served on a bed of israeli couscous. Very lovely tastes. The steak frites were also very good. The bread comes with a couple of specialty butters. There is great attention to detail and the service is efficient. The menu is a creative take on French bistro dining. The upcoming Mothers Day brunch looks amazing. I think it is booking up fast. I recommend this restaurant.

    Bouillabaise for 2 exceptional as was the green bean ceasar. Ambience in the farthest room marred by the exceptionally lively accoustic. Will definitely return and we hope for a quieter table.

    There aren't that many great restaurants left in downtown Ottawa and Cocotte is a welcome addition. The services is attentive, the selection of starters and mains is excellent, and the food is reliably tasty!
