Honestly the chef is outstanding the short rib and pork chop were the absolute best we have ever had! The crab chowder was beyond amazing and our server Joseph was exceptional he brought us a sauce to dip the fingerling potato’s in and we are still raving about them!!!

Had a very good experience at Coastal Provisions last night mostly due to the fact that our server Connie was so personable, knowledgeable and helpful. We go to this restaurant fairly regularly because we live nearby. The food is always good but having a such great service makes all the difference.

Fish was not fresh, steaks tough and every side tasted like weekend leftovers. Sadly, this is not worth a visit while vacationing at Isle of Palms. Our server Connie was gracious and tried her best.

The she crab soup had no chunks of crab. The bowl was flat and large. The she crab soup and blue crab soup was one in the same. The temperature was medium. The main course food at four didn’t come out at the same time. We had to ask the servers name. When he first came to the table, we thought he was the Waterboy! He brought a free drink to one of the girls, and not to the other who ordered alcohol.

So on Labor Day, Open Table only showed bar availability for 6:30. Upon arrival, we noted many empty tables and had no problem obtaining a table. We spent a leisurely hour and one half and noted that during that time, the restaurant was never more than 1/3 full. No telling how many people went elsewhere and missed an excellent meal.

The food was flavorful, but I paid $18 for basically a dressed plate of lettuce with popcorn on it. The $9 chicken add on was about 2oz of chicken.

We had a lovely lunch and dinner at Coastal Provisions. The food was phenomenal but our experience was memorable due to exceptional service from Connie. She made excellent food and drink recommendations and we all left full and happy. Fwiw - this was during Hurricane Idalia and Connie wasn’t phased a bit!

Food was great. Husband said the northern oysters were the best he’s had. Server was fantastic. Bartender perfect. A couple w 2 kids next to us just sat there as their kids wailed for 1.5 hrs. Everyone was looking at them and they could have cared less. The reason for the rating is the management didn’t do a thing. So if you’re up for that, have at it. We won’t go again despite a good meal.

I had an excellent birthday dinner here. I ordered the swordfish and it was delicious. My husband enjoyed his filet. We would definitely come back here to celebrate a special occasion.

The food was delicious. We had the fresh seafood and it was prepared perfectly. The bread and crab bisque were a perfect starter. Fresh fish with corn pudding for an entree. The deserts were a work of art and delicious.

A very nice experience, but understand before you go that this is a hotel restaurant within a gated resort community, and that apart from valet service, there is no parking available. Staff was gracious and attentive and the food was delicious.

The food is very good. But not to the level of the pricing. Still would recommend. It is after all a resort so prices are expected to be higher. The service was great and ambience outside poolside was wonderful.

This restaurant was highly rated and a lot of reviews stated to book a reservation. At the time of dinner, it didn’t look like you needed a reservation but the restaurant was extremely busy. Portion size is small but the food was tasty. The restaurant is very convenient for guest at the hotel.

We had an 8pm reservation for family of four: me, husband, 6yo twins. Expected more but left disappointed. Food was just ok. Daughter has celiacs disease therefore must eat Gluten Free. Waitress was very friendly, knowledgeable, but was definitely rushing us. Wanted to take our dinner order the first time she came to the table. Perhaps she saw we had kids and thought we would appreciate the speed, especially at 8pm. But we were in vacation mode so didn’t care much about what time it was. Overall, food was mediocre, service was friendly but rushed, and I expected more based on the restaurant ambiance and price point.

Our waitress was wonderful, food tasted delicious, however we had a tree nut allergy at our table and there was a cross contamination somewhere in the kitchen. The dessert even had nuts in it that our waitress noticed before setting down. The kitchen needs to be more careful.

The atmosphere and food were excellent. We had fresh caught grouper and the corn pudding which were both way above expectation. Service was very slow but I believe it was the lack of available servers. I did not get a single refill on my drink even when the glass was empty. The restaurant was very loud. Not due to music but there is no sound absorption so the tables are all speaking loud to speak over the tables next to them. I had to move to the corner of my table to even get close enough for my husband to hear me speak in a normal volume. Overall the food was excellent, props to the chef!

I was very excited to try this restaurant and was quite pleased with the ambiance and service provided by the wait staff. However, I was horribly disappointed by the food. The halibut was dry and the o my thing good about the seafood pot was the shrimp. Everything else had the consistency of rubber. The bill for 4 people with tip was nearly $500. For that kind of money, I would expect some of the best food I’ve ever had…

Food was ok but the timing in which the food was brought out was terrible. App and meal took almost two hours and we left before the dessert was out because we had waited for almost 30 min for that. They weren’t even busy! Overrated.

The food and service were excellent. Our server was fantastic. We were disappointed that the weather did not permit outdoor dining that evening, but that was, of course, not the fault of the restaurant. Still a wonderful restaurant, and we will certainly return.
