   We requested reservations online, so easy. We were seated promptly and our server got our drink orders quickly. The view from the porch is awesome and the breeze was nice. We enjoyed a well prepared and delicious meal. All around 5 stars!

   It was a super busy evening at The Coastal Kitchen. First time dining there in quite sometime. Not overly impressed with menu choices, food was mediocre so would not hurry back! Lighting in the restaurant needs a lot of help!

   Food was very tasty - the truffle French fries starter is spot on!!!! Redfish dish is great. Fried shrimp very good. Veggie pasta with shrimp was good. The lights are TOO bright. Need to fix the ambiance. Server was very good.

    The best food we have had so far on this trip!!! Hub and daughter split a dozen dirty oysters and I had the lobster nachos as appetizers. Both were exceptional! Entrees were salmon, sea scallops and lobster ravioli!! Exceptional quality on all! Having lunch there tomorrow before leaving!

    Excellent seafood. The Picayune pasta dish was delicious. Shrimp and scallops were cooked to perfection. A beautiful setting overlooking the boat harbor. Would recommend it for anyone in search of a super delectable meal. Give it a go!

    Fried shrimp outstanding. Blood Orange margarita tasted like it had no tequila. Surprisingly, had no bread to serve for the table. Service efficient and pleasant.

    Redfish was excellent, best we’ve had. Server was on top of things. Key lime pie was great finish. However the fried pickles were very disappointing. Pickle spears battered and fried were tough. Will try another appetizer next time.

    Our server Laney was excellent--great personality and great service. My blackened salmon was excellent and enjoyed the sides of coconut rice and green beans too! Other three diners enjoyed their food too. Love sitting outside under an overhang with a view of the marina. I think the food is a little pricey but worth it.

    We were charged 4% to pay with credit card! Was noted on menu but do not believe it should be paying customers expense of eating at restaurant and paying with credit card.

    Our first time experience was excellent! We were quickly seated overlooking the marina. Very peaceful ambiance. The appetizer, food, and drink were all delicious. Waitress and host were very attentive.

    Thank you for accommodating our party that increased in size from the reservation made. We appreciate seating us and enjoying being together with friends. Wait staff was prompt and friendly, checking in as meal progressed. Drink and food were good.

    The location was beautiful. The food was FANTASTIC! We had the lobster nachos, the shrimp and grits and the fried shrimp. All absolutely delicious. It was fresh and service was quick. Our waitress was fantastic. Definitely our new favorite place to eat in the Jekyll/ St Simon area. It’ll be on our list every year from now on.

    Oysters were very small and not worth the price. The duck fat fries were fabulous. Blackened RedFish was not very good. Did not seem fresh. In my opinion the menu needs an update.

    The ratings were accurate for this restaurant. Everything was great from the time we arrived to the time we left. The drinks, appetizer, entrees, and dessert were excellent. Our server and the rest of the staff were very friendly and accommodating as well. We had the crab cake for a starter and it was delicious. We had the swordfish and the fried shrimp for entrees. Both were great. We had the key lime pie and turtle cheesecake for desserts and they certainly did not disappoint. We would highly recommend and we would go back when we visit the area again.

    Coastal Kitchen is one of our go-to places in SSI. The food was superb, and I don’t know if it was because they were short-staffed, but we had to wait more than 30 minutes after our reservation time, which is unusual. Our waitress seemed very stressed and short-tempered. We ordered a round of drinks, dirty oysters (outstanding!), Cesar salad, house salad, fried chicken, trout, and tuna. We asked for bread several times, and after the oysters, all of the food seemed to come out at the same time. We were splitting the bill in two, but when we received our bill, the items were all mixed up, and we also saw we were charged for the bread, which they did not mention and was not listed on the menu. The noise level was more than lively - we could hardly hear ourselves sitting at our own table. Next time, we would either ask for outside seating or to sit in the back, because where we sat, it was uncomfortably loud! A disappointing experience at a restaurant we know is capable of more.

    This was our first visit to Coastal Kitchen & Raw Bar. We spent the night in St. Simon’s Island on our way to Florida. We had the scallops (which were huge) and the seafood pasta dish (the sauce was excellent). We also had the oysters. Our server gave fantastic descriptions of the meals. Everyone was so friendly. The drinks were very good. Try the watermelon martini and the old fashioned.
