   I was very impressed with Church and Union! Food was delicious, our server "Twann" was wonderful, the carafe of mimosa was a great idea for a shared table, and very affordable. Will definitely be back. It was a very beautiful space!

   First time having brunch at Church and union and it did not disappoint! Great menu, fantastic food. The avocado toast was excellent and so is the eggs Benedict!

   Long story short: poor service, good food. Would not recommend. I had heard really good things about Church & Union so I was really excited to book a reservation, unfortunately it ended up being a disappointing experience for our group. Our server was not attentive, we waited 40 minutes for half of our groups’ drinks (two of which were cokes) to be brought to our table. In those 40 minutes nobody came and checked on us or asked if we needed anything. It was only brought to their attention when we stopped a server passing by if they could help. They gave us free shots to make up for it, but I can’t say it did. Would have much rather had our drinks discounted. Once our food came out we were not checked on again until we were done with our food and our server came to see if we were ready for our checks. I had ordered an appetizer that never came out but was charged for it. I did address it with them and it was taken off my bill. Not everything was bad, the food and atmosphere were great. However, I can’t say I would recommend this place or come back in the future Normally I do not write reviews, but as I said this was really disappointing and this should be corrected. I have personal experience working in the service industry so I understand “things happen” but this was not one of those situations. My overall impression of the staff at church & union was that they did not care.

   We went with a large group and the service was incredible. We loved sharing their brunch pastry and charcuterie board, and all of our meals were incredible. They give quite a bit of food for pretty average prices which is rare in a big city like Nash. Our server Max was second to none and treated us like Queens! When one meal was left in the kitchen on accident, he was apologetic and immediately got the kitchen to get it out to us. Would 100% return!!

    Food was fine but the back of the restaurant wasn’t a cool crowd buzz, it was a super ringing annoying volume that made conversation impossible. We saw other large tables literally get up and move over to people they were trying to talk to. Was there when It first opened and thought it was ok but growing pains. Many months later it is no better.

    The main takeaway is that the food was DELICIOUS! We had a group of 10 and an array of apps and entrees - every bite was delicious. It is very pricey but that is typical downtown Nashville. We went on a Monday night and it was surprisingly VERY busy and loud. Service left a lot to be desired. Our reservation was at 7 and we were sat immediately….. it was 740 before everyone in the party had their first beverage. There was about 20 min in between visits from our waiter. We had to ask for silverware and water multiple times. Once our entrees were delivered, we didn’t see our waiter again until we had to track him down to get our checks. Go for the food. Maybe sit at the bar!

    Very nice atmosphere. Took several minutes for the server to appear at our table. Other than being a bit of a wait at the beginning, everything was great after that. We split the NOLA shrimp appetizer and the ribeye for two with sides of street corn and brussel sprouts. Everything was fabulous. Highly recommend!

    Perhaps between Graduation and Mothers day weekend they were out of MANY menu items, however management made accommodations. What made us most impressed was when it became so busy management started waiting on tables to help with the rush instead of turning guests away. Very impressive.

    They were busy and orders came very slowly but it was worth the wait. Our table of 8 split shrimp apps and southern salads, and dined on fried chicken and filet. Absolutely delicious. They were also able to accommodate a large group with only a few hours notice, which is normally hard to find. A+!!

    The meal was delightful and was about what I expected considering current prices. I ordered the baby carrots, but had to make do with the brussles sprouts as the carrots were not available. The old-fashioned was excellent! The service was attentive and the food arrived quickly. All in all, a great experience, and I expect that we will be dining there again!

    Food was great. Service lacked some but it was Mothers day Brunch. Staff was very busy and had to wait some for drink refills and getting dirty plates cleared away. Definitely would come back again.

    The food was delicious! I've been for dinner and now their Mother's Day Brunch and the food was outstanding both times. For brunch, my mom and I were seated at one of the larger, bar height tables with another group of 4 at the other end. I would have much preferred a table to ourselves, but luckily our neighbors didn't bother us. We felt kind of 'in the way' because we were seated at the end of the table right at the beginning of the buffet line. While it kind of made that particular outing awkward, it's obviously not an issue on a regular day since the brunch buffet was a Mother's Day special. Our server, I wish I could remember his name, was really great! He was funny and hustling to no telling how many tables but kept us taken care of.

    Went for the Mother's Day brunch. Food was overcooked and/or hard. Salmon was extremely dry. Biscuits and monkey bread were too hard to eat as was the souffle. Our server was excellent. Don't waste your money like I did. Almost $300 for 3 people. I had bacon and eggs that was worth maybe $5.00.

    We had a few hiccups in getting our drinks in a timely manner, but that was the only negative thing that happened, which is not a huge deal. They did compensate for that and made it right. Loved the food and the ambiance and the servers we had.

    Everyhting was great! Our server, Isaiah, was charismatic and made the night feel like a celebration! Everything that we tried was delicious, particularly the barbecue shrimp. The atmosphere of the place is fun and energetic and is just made better by the staff. We finished with the baked Tennessee which was delicious! Will be back soon.

    The unique menu and cocktails were outstanding! The service was friendly and we absolutely waited for nothing!! Drinks kept flowing, appetizers took no time getting to our table and our dinner looked as gorgeous as it tasted. Well Done!

    we read reviews before deciding to go to this restaurant most were good, but some of the ones that were not so good complained about the steaks....we talked to our waiter about it and he said that they have changed the place where they order their meat.....we decided on the porterhouse for 2 with 2 sides....it was by far the best porterhouse i have ever eaten!!! with 2 sides it was way too much food but soooo good!! yummy cocktails as well.....we will go back next time in nashville

    Service was lacking. Slow to respond to make my drink at bar. Took my order, not very busy but did several other things before making my drink. When table was ready, took forever to close my tab. My date was waiting at our table for me to close out my bar tab. Waitress at table didn’t know much about menu. A few dishes we were interested in were not available. Slow to wait on us. Food was great tasting but small proportions for the price. Great atmosphere and probably very expensive to run this place, so some hard choices need to be made in both services and food proportions/availability.
