Chifley’s Bar & Grill pays homage to the region’s wineries and boutique food producers with a seasonal, modern menu. Chef Saju Rajappan and his team cater to discerning travellers, diplomats, and businesspeople with classic but inventive dishes that are as delicious as they are gorgeous to look at.

Steaks, seafood, chicken, and other dishes cooked on the grill are a speciality. The menu also features pasta, risotto, a wide range of vegetarian options, dishes designed for sharing, and tempting desserts. A wide range of local and international wines, cocktails, craft beers and ciders are available for your drinking pleasure.

Chifley’s Bar & Grill is named after the 16th Prime Minister of Australia, Ben Chifley, who loved dining here and frequently enjoyed a tipple in the bar. In honour of his favourite drink, the whisky bar has a specially curated menu taking guests on a sensory journey of whiskies around the world.

                                                    We d8ned here on Thursday night. It was a birthday dinner which was advised on website booking. My partner and I skipped entrees and ordered steak, striploin for me, a T-Bone for my partner. The meals came with seasonal vegetables but no potatoes so we ordered these on the side. The T-bone was very disappointing, cost $64 and full if gristle. At the end of the meal thus was mentioned to the waiter but no apology or con 3ssion.

                                                    What a lovely place for dinner, we loved the 1920s look and the setting was understated and comfortable, the waiters were welcoming, attentive and professional. The food was outstanding and the price reasonable, we enjoyed every aspect of our night out at Chifley's.

                                                    The express lunch was excellent. Two of us had the salad and 1 had the soup and then we all had the snitzel as main course. Our meals arrived promptly and were very fresh and tasty and a good size for lunch. Wait staff were very attentive. We loved the decor of the Hotel and we are returning for the 100years high tea which we are really looking forward to. Thank you to the staff who organised a birthday candle in a cheesecake for our friend and helped us sing Happy Birthday.

                                                    Disappointing Friday lunch. On arrival was advised if we sat in the atrium we would have to order at the bar, which was a bit odd given there were very few customers in the restaurant. Single staff member was covering both the restaurant and bar so service was slow. Ordered the beef tenderloin medium rare and it came out medium well. Overall, very disappointing.

                                                    Sparkling water was advised being free when it was offered to me in the beginning of the dinner. We paid our bills individually and during the last colleague's payment, it was mentioned that sparkling water was paid for $12 each bottle. I even mentioned it again to the cashier that it was advised being free as everyone were quite disappointed and had no choice but to pay for it. The price itself of the water is a bit dearer as one of my regional colleagues mentioned to me.

                                                    A great hotel experience is made better by the in house restaurant. The Chifley Bar and Grill was exactly that - unpretentious, welcoming, and serving really good food.

                                                    Extremely disappointed. I ordered the grilled barra. It was expensive, supposedly with seasonal vegetables. This consisted on one button squash cut in half and one small vegetable that was some kind of miniature zucchini. And that was it. Along with a small fillet of barra and that was $50. I saw a steak meal arrive that was over $60 and it has the same measly vegetables and small piece of steak. The restaurant wasn't warm, needed to keep my jacket on and it had no atmosphere. The actual hotel is beautiful and I was really looking forward to going. Such a shame.
