   Service was excellent. Ruth was our server. The food was good but the pork was overcooked. The crab cakes were excellent. The wines available was excellent, but not cheap. The value of the meal was good but there are better restaurants in the area. The food cooked at Adrift or Hope and Glory are excellent.

   The restaurant and its location is magical. Ally was excellent having a great sense of humor and very knowledgeable. It was good to see CeCe who my sister and brother-in-law remembered from a previous outing. Food was outstanding.

   Our server reeked of cigarettes, was not attentive at all, brought me the wrong meal and left my wife’s plate on the table getting cold for fifteen minutes while they cooked my meal… she ended up eating alone and I was left to scarf mine down by myself. Server not knowledgeable about the food or drink in any sense. Very poor experience for such an expensive restaurant. The lights were too bright too, couldn’t see the water view for the glare.

   We loved the two dinners we had at Chesapeake. We had the fried and baked oysters and soft shell crab sandwich two nights in a row because we liked them so much. We also had the deviled eggs, crab cakes, and fried brussel sprouts, all of which were very good. Service was flawless and the Zinfandel we had both nights was great. Needless to say, we’ll go again!

    As always, great experience all the way around. Outstanding food and service, and great ambiance. Hats off to our server, Megan and the F&B Manager, another Megan, for taking such pride in what they do; taking such wonderful care to ensure that our dining experience was first class.     Ambiance got a low rating because the tables next to the windows are frigid, making them very uncomfortable. Also disappointed to see the tablecloths are gone, no longer feels like a special occasion place. Service was great, but food was expensive for the quality of the product. Lastly, having a second bar in the lounge area is a plus, to be able to order a drink and head outside is great.

    We were celebrating our anniversary and could not have found a better place to celebrate. Every minute was enjoyable and special. We plan to spend the weekend at the Tides Inn next year for our anniversary.

    The crab soup is amazing. The craft cocktails are just ok. Lots of nice spirits to choose from. Caesar salad is just OK. Crabcakes were delicious.

    Love the Chesapeake Room! Our servers, Cici and Megan are exceptional. The soft shell crabs are grown and selected specifically for the Inn. Delicious! Their shrimp and grits are divine! The bar has an impressive bourbon and scotch selection and wine list. Fried oyster po boys! Yum! Lovely inside and outside dining, both with views of Carter’s Creek. Photo worthy! My only request has been to re-instate white tablecloths at every meal.

    The Chesapeake Restaurant at the Tides Inn is a NNK treasure. Surrounded by glass, diners are treated to a serene view while enjoying custom cocktails, fine wine, made-to-share appetizers, elegant mains, and delectable desserts. We enjoyed every bit of our fried oyster app, filet mignon, and crème brûlée cheesecake. While the food and ambience is exceptional, what really sets this restaurant apart is the service, which is warm, attentive, and sincere. Among their professional and dedicated team are Brandon (chef supreme) and Meghan (a server with a smile), who made my birthday dinner one to remember. Many thanks to both of you!

    Birthday celebration. Table overlooking the water at sunset. Wine selection was superb, French Pinot Noir. Oyster Rockefeller was good. Scallops cooked with perfect crust. Steak Frites cooked to order with truffle fries. Service with Meagan was relaxed but attentive. Very romantic, just the right vibe making for a special night. End of evening we were given a brass key for a birthday surprise in one of the prohibition lockers. Nice touch. Thank you Tides for another memorable evening.

    This high priced restaurant does not deliver. The sixty dollar steak ordered rare was cooked to perfection, cool center and seared crust. The meat was tough and not of the quality the price would demand. The scallop dish came with four perfectly cooked morsels on a bed of potato purée with accompanying greens and including four miniature pickles that were a surprising insult to the mild flavor of the scallops. I would have expected asparagus tips as more appropriate. The she crab soup was excellent save for the inability to order a sherry for those of us that wish for the extra aroma and flavor. Finally the espresso came without accompanying chocolate covered coffee bean, sugar swizzle and lemon twist. Not what one would expect from a resort restaurant.
