Such a pity - my husband and I were looking forward to our dining experience at Chapmans on the Friday before Christmas, but unfortunately were dismayed - whilst the serving staff were polite and friendly, all the food served (we had starters and main courses) were either tepid or cold. When we mentioned this to the Manageress, Chapmans kindly reflected this in our total bill. Nevertheless our overall experience was very disappointing and not one we would want to repeat.

Exceptional. The Goan fish curry in particular was out of this world, we live an hour and a half away and will come back just for that dish! We had 3 courses, all beautiful, and the service was fantastic. What a gem.

We visited a few years back and the food was a 10/10 but today it was not. Food was bland, starters coming out when we were still eating nibbles. Food lacking substance. Unfortunately a disappointing meal and it has put us of coming back

We had a sharing dish for 4 of us which was ample as we all order starters, presentation of starters were nice and tasty but the baked mussels of my main course were too small, my oysters also were on the small side. The price of the set lunch is good value for money. Overall we enjoyed having lunch at the restaurant.

It’s always a pleasure to go and have dinner here. I’ve been having the same two dishes for nearly 3 years. The scallops as always are delicious and of course the Goan curry. Look forward to returning.

Sorry to say this was not our best experience of eating out in Canterbury. Many menu items were not available. Service was sadly lacking. For our 47th anniversary celebration it provided a poor reception. We regretted the booking.
