A nightclub pretending to be a restaurant, but with an actually decent seafood menu.
Had An Amazing Time! 🙌🏻😁❤️
We had reserved Catch for dinner to celebrate my sister’s birthday. The setting is beautiful, and the ambiance is very cool. However, we never even got to dinner because our reservation was pushed back more than an hour. It was at 9:15, but we were still waiting by 10pm. We had to search for other nearby places that were still open for dinner, and we luckily found one, which was actually very good. It was very unfortunate that we had to leave Catch, because I had very high expectations of it, and they sort of ruined my sister’s birthday dinner. I guess we will have to try again some other time.
We waited for an hour and a half after our reservation time to be seated. Absolutely unacceptable.
Waited 50+ minutes for our reservation with little to no apologies for the extra wait time.
Took my girlfriend here for her Birthday
Ambience was nice, food was ok can't really recomend what i got which was the waffle tower and salmon benedict, either there wasn't enough staff members or they all seem to be in a rush I've had better service at other places.
My boyfriend and I celebrated Valentine’s Day! We have been for dinner but this was our first time coming for brunch and it was amazing!
If you want to feel like a celebrity go for it especially if your from out of town...
Attente de 40min debout dans l’entrée ... probleme d’organisation mais très bon et bel endroit !
Really great place to eat, I recommend it for everyone.
All great except giving our table away to a newly arrived couple while we waited 45 min. Management needs to communicate with front to be better organized.
They ran late with our reservation by 45minutes so wasn’t to impressed with that at all especially when people that arrived after us were getting seated before us. We did receive a complimentary dish which was nice. The week before we had been to CATCH in New York and the food there was AMAZING, unfortunately for us LA catch wasn’t anywhere near as good in regards to the food and service.
Amazing food, great wait staff, beautiful decor and people!
Food was great drinks were great ... service etc everything was great, just a lil overpriced but expected
Great food! Drinks really over priced, I spent $35 on two drinks.
Here on vacation and it was a Wonderful 1st night out.
Despite the long wait for our table ( we sat down after 10pm for a table that was booked for 8.45pm, the food and service completely made up for it. we had an incredible, delicious meal. And, once we were seated, we were looked after to the highest standard.
Horrible service. They sat us 40 minutes late and then we didn’t get our entrees for over an hour after.
Great experience! Brought my girlfriend based on the number of positive ratings on Yelp and it did not disappoint. Ambience was warm and dark enough for intimate interactions. The entrance is instagram worthy with the dangling lights, and there are no bad dining seat areas. Food was delicious, had the sautéed local snapper and she had the scallops. We had mango shrimp roll, one of the best sushi rolls I’ve had. Also had sides of Parmesan truffle fries, crisp and delicious, and spiced cashew sweet potatoes. Shared a glass of Daou Reserve white wine, it topped off the meal finely. Overall cost was about $180. She loved the experience and I was glad our first time visit was a success! Would highly recommend for special occasions, as we did an early Valentine’s Day celebration here Tuesday night. Definitely need to reserve on Open table as it does get packed, but they were able to accommodate us earlier than our reserved time which was awesome! Service was professional and they are friendly. Will definitely come back in the future!
Had reservations for 815pm. Checked-in at 8pm. Wasn’t seated until 915pm.
Depending on where your seated the experience will be good or bad, unfortunately our table was the last one close to the toilets and kitchen doors
Even though you have a reservation they still make you wait 30 to 45 minutes to be seated. Sucks. But once we were seated the service was good.
This place is amazing, my sever was so friendly, helpful and very professional!! Delicious food and beautiful place!!! 100% recommended!
Excellent as usual
I didn’t like the seats , i recommend them its preferable not to give a reservation when its too crowded and all people is sitting almost all together ... thats really unprofessional
First time in Catch. Amazing place, amazing food, amazing atmosphere. I’d definitely come again!
I don’t hear very frequently and was kind of upset we ordered their lobster cocktail and I had a bunch of shells in the piece that I had and he was extremely small
I wanted to try the brunch special for two people with a bottle of champagne for a while now, so when going out for breakfast/brunch on my birthday, my choice, I was pleasantly surprised to find that there were spots available for my boyfriend and myself to dine within an hour or so (allowing for showering and what-not).
We got there early and waited at the bar. My shoes didn’t like my feet whilst standing, so I was happy when a table near the bar finally opened up after ordering our drinks.
I ordered an Irish coffee and my boyfriend had a basic beer. Pretty soon, we were seated outside after a nasty bought of rain washed over the city, but the patio was completely covered and the heat lamps were perfect. I was even able to take off my coat and don a crop-top pantsuit set that wasn’t exactly weather appropriate to begin with, but I was quite comfortable.
The shrimp starter was Devine, albeit reminiscent of tempura orange chicken from a Chinese takeaway place (I’m not a huge tempura or fried seafood fan, but hey, it was tasty).
For entree’s it was disappointing that my boyfriend’s plate came out before mine and he finally started on his fish after it was now cold since mine was taking so long (why did they bring his out? I thought this is “taught” in “Restaurant etiquette 101”?).
The champagne was a lovely house selection and our neighboring patrons were lovely to chat with.
Dessert was a sorbet assortment of watermelon, melon and strawberry on a shoestring puffed pastry. In presentation they graced me with a candle and I couldn’t help but to think of it all as a bird’s nest with a candle stick in one of the brightly colored eggs :-)
I had a lovely brunch. I wasn’t blown away by the food, but happy to finally experience their brunch special, ticking one more item off of my LA-to-do list.
Even with a reservation it took a while to get seated. Great ambiance though and it’s what you are really paying for.
Food was outstanding !!
The food and the ambiance tasted just a great as it all looked! Wonderful spot for brunch (will be back for dinner) and a great place to take a small group of out-of-town visitors.
We waited for 45 min bf to have a table in the dark. We asked for an extra candle and was not available.
Shocked by this experience on Saturday night. Had a well known actress client go there with her African-American friend. Was told that her friend "didn't look like she belonged there" according to someone on staff, although was dressed perfectly appropriately, and were relegated to the bar while others after them were being seated. They then waited an hour and a half (this reservation was already at 9:15 PM) and decided to leave. Appalling, disgusting, will never refer anyone or go there myself again.
Whenever I’m in LA i do catch . It’s one of the most consistent places that i have ever been to. There was a slight wait to sit down due to the large crowd but it wasn’t frustrating because the ambiance over powers that feeling. Once we sat Greg the manager suggested a nice appetizer and the chef Brad also gave a nice dessert for the wait. Hands down Catch has a returning customer.
Horrific. Had to wait two hours with a reservation.
I been here couple of times always with a reservation, this time it took the hosted 1 hour and 45 to get sited with a reservation.
A beautiful restaurant with great food. However if you still have to wait for an hour at the bar to get to your table that you reserved it seems a little disorganized.
