Cascade The Restaurant
To be in the place where we want to be,
around the people we want to share with,
doing what we love to do…
After decades of event experience in New York City, we are transporting all that we have learned and bringing these skills to our home in Pennsylvania. We have purchased a beautiful bucolic location with over 33 acres for you to enjoy. The location is in Upper Bucks County, 70 miles from New York City, 45 miles from Philadelphia and is nestled near the Lehigh Valley.
Durham Springs will also be home to the restaurant, Cascade. Retaining the name, Cascade, pays homage to the historic restaurant site which originally opened in 1939.
To view our experience in NYC, have a look at the body of our work under the name The Upper Crust. We've come home to rebuild and to refresh the site loved by many.
Celebrating our Valentines Day Brunch and it was AWESOME
Went for Valentine's Day. Food, Service and Atmosphere wonderful and top-notch. Loved that this beautiful location is being utilized for a restaurant again. Highly recommend. Give it a try!
We had a wonderful Valentines dinner. First time to the restaurant since it has been renovated. The owner came around and engaged in conversation which was very nice. All in all it was a great evening!!!!!
Place is beautiful, staff very attentive, owners went table to table greeting and speaking with diners. We had four courses and the food was ALL fabulous. My favorite restaurant in the Lehigh Valley has always been Bolete but I think I may have a new favorite in Cascade. My husband and I enjoyed our experience immensely. I will recommend to everyone.
Delicious food and lovely ambiance, with top-notch service and unparalleled attention to customer satisfaction. The owners came by the table and were very friendly. NYC type experience in Bucks County. We will definitely be back!
New ownership is doing a great job. The staff as very aware and caring about your experience. Great place for a date night. Happy with everything we ate. Overall we would go back.
We found the Cascade Lodge to be an elegant dinning experience. The restaurant renovations and décor provide an elegant atmosphere. The staff was very professional and the the food was prepared to perfection and well presented.
The service from valet on to receiving the car at the end was impeccable and refined. The food was delicious. It was a lovely and memorable evening.
Impeccable service, attention to detail are what separate this restaurant from others in the area. The food is outstanding as well. Cascade is the real deal.
Fantastic atmosphere and the food is outstanding. Dan and Ian have really done an incredible job reinventing the Cascade. Don’t miss it.
Apps, entrees, and desserts were all extremely good- The bar area was also very charming.
Outstanding! Owner greeted us as we arrived. Took an Uber over and worried about getting back. Multiple staff offered to take us back to the bed and breakfast but Uber/Lyft worked out!
A beautiful restaurant in a beautiful setting. Our server was inattentive at best. He was unfamiliar with the menu, guessed when asked questions and had to be asked twice to check with the chef. I indicated that I was vegetarian when I made the reservation, but the server didn't know and actually said "damn vegetarian" only a few feet away from our table. He treated us very differently than the table beside us. He seemed to be very uncomfortable serving a gay couple on Valentine's Day. I was looking for an exceptional meal for a special occasion. Instead, I was annoyed, uncomfortable and couldn't wait to leave. I didn't even want to stay for dessert. Everyone else we encountered was lovely including the valet, coat attendant, hostess, bussers and runners. Unfortunately the one person we had the most contact with seemed completely uninterested in serving us.
Enjoyed a fabulous Valentine's Day dinner. Friendly and attentive service, food was very good, but not exceptional. Anxious to return for another visit.
Had a lovely romantic meal. Andy our waiter was very attentive. It's on the pricey side but worth it for special occasions!
The restaurant is absolutely beautiful, very classy and the owner is really nice, as well as The Who,e staff.
The standard prix fixe menu on Wednesday nights was not in effect the Wednesday before Valentines Day and was not communicated as such on the restaurants web site. That felt a bit disingenuous. The gnocchi was bland and the duck was half meat/half fat. The waiter seemed to forget we were there at times even though the restaurant was not crowded. The cappuccinos were luke warm at best. The owner was very friendly but has a lot to do in order to bring this restaurant back to it’s full glory and compete with much better restaurants like the Black Bass Hotel and the Segenstsville Inn. Fresh paint, modern decor and high prices aren’t the answer.
It took over 20 minutes to serve our drinks & for them to take our food order. We left !
Love this place. Has been excellent every time. This time thw drinks were slow to arrive as was food. No second offer of bread. Still love it and will be back.
Went for brunch on a Sunday. Food was excellent, service very attentive, and the atmosphere perfect. We enjoyed a crackling fire and had views of the cascades that run through the property. The menu was inventive and offered several twists on classic brunch fare. Can’t wait to go back!
Beautiful redo of a local landmark. Lovingly restored and reimagined. The setting is exquisite. The owners were delightful and engaged with the guests, wanting to ensure a great experience. We will definitely return.
Absolutely one is the most beautiful restaurants in the region. We dined in the Spring Room, which was a wonderful experience. The food was delicious and the ambience was second to none. We can’t wait to be back in the spring!
Absolutely the most enjoyable fine dining experience we have had in a long time. Each course was plated perfectly and tasted delicious. We have worked in fine dining kitchens and my hat goes off to the chef and his excellent staff. Our server took excellent care of us and knows how to work with her team. She gave us a tour and this property will be an excellent choice for your wedding or celebration.
No disappointments on
My wife and I decided to try the new Cascade Restaurant in Durham Springs for our anniversary. It definately takes a little effort to find it and we only live four miles away.
The atmosphere is very nice though a little loud. Our server Joe was fantastic. We started with a couple of drinks and ordered appetizers. My wife ordered pork and ginger dumplings which were very good. Against my better judgement I ordered the grilled octopus. I should have listened to my self. They were definately not fresh and a hair overcooked. I sent them back and the restaurant was nice enough to take them off of the check.
For the main course my wife ordered the diver scallops...again very good. I ordered the duck ravioli. They were ok. I expect them to be better. The desert was amazing. I wish I could remember exactly what it was. One of the owners I think it was Dan introduced himself. He was very nice and even offered us glasses of desert ice wine which was also amazing.
A bit on the pricey side but all in all a good experience.
The food was presented nicely and everything was absolutely great and unique. My selections had a taste of Asia and seasoned perfectly. My wife's selections were also wonderful and everything including the Bananas Foster had an original taste. The owners stopping by each table to say hello was a nice touch.
The owners have taken every great concept from the restaurant industry and put it into the Cascade!
The return of The Cascade is most welcome! A wonderful dining experience with an outstanding staff. Everyone was committed to creating a perfect night out for us. Carefully pre-pared cocktails, an excellent bottle of wine as, and delicious food. The salad with the green goddess dressing was a marvelous combination of crunch and tang; the lamb was tender and cooked to the perfect temperature, and the scallops with brown butter and squash puree were some of the best I've ever had. Service was not rushed, and we thoroughly enjoyed meeting everyone as we relaxed for a well-deserved night out.
Waited 30 minutes to get a cocktail which I wanted before ordering dinner to enjoy. Waiter came to table numerous times and never mentioned why drinks were not coming. Very little to eat for non meet eaters. One risotto dish, 2 seafood dish which many are allergic to and one fish which was wrapped in ham!! Service was sloooooow Two guests in our party ate beef and it was tough. No one in our party of 6 loved their dinner. We did enjoy the look and feel of the place.
The place is gorgeous. The owners seem very nice..very limited wine list. Thinking of trying brunch next time.
The food was amazing, from the appetizers through our deserts. The cocktails where expertly made.
The old Cascade Lodge has turned Magnificent! Top New York restaurants have nothing on this place for ambiance and quality of the cuisine. Pricey for most but so worth it. Best service anywhere I have been in the world if you can believe it. What a transformation!
Outstanding as always! Dan, Ian and their staff have revitalized a gem! Wishing all the best....til next time 👍. Cheers!
Honestly the best dining experience I have ever had! Great service, better food, and a beatiful location! All for half the price I expected! I would reccomend it every person I know.
We went for a weekly Neighbours Night. The menu was limited, but very reasonable. The food was excellent and the waitstaff could not have been more attentive (but not hovering). The quality of the food was top notch!
We simply LOVED OUR EVENING AT CASCADE!!! The food was delicious; the service spectacular; the ambience cozy and welcoming and the owners are exceedingly gracious and knowledgeable as to how it’s done in an A market (unlike just about all the other restaurateurs in the Lehigh Valley). As my husband will readily tell anyone who asks, I complain constantly about the restaurants in the Lehigh Valley who are pretty much clueless as to how to provide stellar service. This evening happened to be my husband’s birthday and they went out of their way to make it memorable, however we would dine here for no-good-reason going forward. Can’t wait to go back. Thank you Dan and Ian! It was so great to see you both again!!! You’ve created a winning formula for success in Bucks County!
The owners have done a great job transforming a tired dated building into a new vibrant restaurant. This is definitely off the beaten path but one you should search out, you won't be disappointed. Staff is friendly and professional, always willing to answer questions or help but not annoying. Menu is limited and more classical in offerings, everyone in our group of six was impressed with the presentation and flavors of each dish. Wine list reasonable, we can hardly wait to return to this great addition to the Lehigh Valley.
In an old, although well renovated, building expect a cold (temperature) atmosphere.
We had a great meal and will be back often! Nicely done!
Fantastic addition to the area. Elegant dinner
An extremely well-appointed dining room with a working fireplace and scenic country views
The presence of a talented chef who manages to imbue classic dishes with a sense of quality and style...and who has an obvious facility with the delicate art of cooking seafood (shrimp risotto).
The most diligent service to be found in Bucks County.
An outstanding new restaurant in every sense of the word!
