We’ve Come Home
To be in the place where we want to be,
around the people we want to share with,
doing what we love to do…

After decades of event experience in New York City, we are transporting all that we have learned and bringing these skills to our home in Pennsylvania. We have purchased a beautiful bucolic location with over 33 acres for you to enjoy. The location is in Upper Bucks County, 70 miles from New York City, 45 miles from Philadelphia and is nestled near the Lehigh Valley.

Durham Springs will also be home to the restaurant, Cascade. Retaining the name, Cascade, pays homage to the historic restaurant site which originally opened in 1939.

To view our experience in NYC, have a look at the body of our work under the name The Upper Crust. We've come home to rebuild and to refresh the site loved by many.

We had an great time and thought everything was fantastic. It is a bit pricey but we had expected that. The staff was wonderful and it was very nice of the owners to take time and talk with the customers.

This "re-birth" of Cascade: The Restaurant is a wonderful homage to a grand restaurant of the past and an absolute delightful dining establishment of the present and future. Visited here for dinner and was treated to a beautiful ambiance, a delightful server (Joe), greetings and pleasant conversation with both owners, and an absolutely excellent meal. This venture has the opportunity to now move forward and capture all the elegance of the past along with the promise of a bright future. It is once again a gem to behold and should be visited by any discriminating diner and Bucks County aficionado.

Four extremely satisfied diners!! First off...the facility is stunning and is a comfortable fit from casual to formal. The bar is an excellent place to start and the service was quick and friendly. The dining service was equally as good and the food...the food!! Two of us had been to this restaurant on several other occasions and enjoy the changing menu, but on this night I was excited for the Short Rib...and of course...not on the menu this time. So I "settled" for the Pork Tenderloin with the Potato/Cheese Ravioli...this is my new favorite! It was spectacular. One other at our table had the Pork and totally agreed with my assessment. We also had a Salmon meal and a Pasta with Seafood at our table and both were devoured. At the end of the meal, even though we all said no to dessert at first, after a perusal of the dessert menu, we ended up with four desserts with the Crème Brule being a standout! Highly recommend this place for a great dinner out!

We had an exceptional dinner at Cascade lodge. We each had a different appetizer (mozzarella and tomato, Thai dumplings, tempura) and main course (Thai vegetable hot pot, cod, and salmon), and each were excellent. The presentation was notable. There is no comparison to the former restaurant. The atmosphere now is modern and sophisticated, with linen tablecloths, silverware, excellent wine selection, quiet background music. On this Thursday night, the restaurant was not crowded; we were not hurried and the service was impeccable. Although a bit pricey, the dinner was worth the money and we will definitely go again.

We absolutely loved everything about the Cascade. We went for a special birthday brunch and had a great experience! The cocktails, food and service were perfect! The view is so charming and the room is very fresh & contemporary while feeling warm and inviting. It’s a fine dining experience that feels indulgent while being a good value relative to other “occasion” restaurants. The service is friendly & welcoming, not at all stuffy or arrogant. So thrilled that this local landmark has been lovingly restored. Cannot wait to go back!

An oasis of fine dining in Bucks County. This area has been in desperate need of a top notch establishment like this. Great ambiance, great service and great food. It’s not cheap but you get what you pay for here. I hope they do well and clients will get behind the place. They are really making a great effort. We’ll be back.

We had a delightful dinner at Cascade The Restaurant -- extremely happy we found this hidden gem. Oysters were fresh and delicious. Other winners were the dumplings, a fantastic rib-eye steak (locally sourced), and the desserts. Service was attentive, although most of the wait staff seems fairly new (we understand the restaurant recently reopened under new management). Both owners stopped by our table to ask about our experience and to chat -- very friendly, welcoming atmosphere. This restaurant is out in the country with nothing else around it, but very well worth the drive. The views of the surrounding area are beautiful. We're looking forward to our next visit.

Dan and Ian have done an incredible job updating the old Cascade Lodge. They’ve thought of everything. The restaurant is gorgeous, the bar is cozy and intimate and our meal was fabulous. We really enjoyed the Winter Wednesday prix fixe and can’t wait for the warmer weather to enjoy cocktails al fresco!

Wonderful night out with my wife. The appetizers were very tasty, The steak melted in your mouth.
Had the ice cream for desert, and would recommend it. Also had an "Old Irishman" drink, was out of this world if you like a good Irish whiskey.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our 46th Anniversary Dinner at The Cascade.

We were warmly greeted on arrival and promptly seated at a table with a great view of the Upper Bucks countryside. Joe, our waiter, was extremely knowledgeable about the menu, offering insights to the local sourcing of the entrees and making suggestions based on our expressed dining preferences. The owner, Ian, spent time with us reviewing the history of the restaurant and the challenges encountered in bringing The Cascade back into its current revitalized glory. At the end of our evening we were met with a torrential downpour. Tyler, the valet, brought our car to the door where he provided an umbrella to keep us as dry as possible.

We look forward to many more excursions to this superb dining venue.

The restaurant has beautiful views of a running stream that goes under the house to 3 separate ponds. Definitely ask for a seat by the window if you go for brunch so you can take full advantage of the view. The food was delicious and the portions were just the right size. The service was terrific. I definitely recommend this restaurant and can't wait to go back.

There are not many solid upscale restaurants in Bucks County. This place fills a void, especially in Upper Bucks. Really good food, reasonably priced relative to quality. The owners are friendly and engaged. Beautiful, tasteful room. Great cocktails. Our only complaint is the wine list. There is a modest selection of excellent, premium wines, but nothing priced at levels that most of us desire to purchase for everyday dining. We will return soon.

When we first arrived it was very quiet, only because there were only two other tables & we were spread out. It is such a beautiful restaurant, very quaint and romantic. The service amazing, as was the food. Perfectly portioned courses so you’re not over-filled, and perfectly seasoned & cooked. Once more people were seated it was more noisy, but reasonably so. We could still hear each other from across the table without feeling drowned out.

Celebrating my birthday at the Cascade was something I had been looking forward to. And I was not disappointed!! Our waitress, Jayne Y. was an absolute professional. She made our dining experience one to remember. I've already recommended to friends that not only should they plan on going to the Cascade, but to make sure they reserve a table in Jayne's section. We look forward to returning for brunch.

So nice to see an old favourite, have been going here for dinner for more then 30 years, this resurrection by a new group has returned to almost the original. Very difficult to happen, considering a population with a different dining out view. We very much enjoyed, excellent food, and a very pleasant environment.

Place is beautiful, staff very attentive, owners went table to table greeting and speaking with diners. We had four courses and the food was ALL fabulous. My favorite restaurant in the Lehigh Valley has always been Bolete but I think I may have a new favorite in Cascade. My husband and I enjoyed our experience immensely. I will recommend to everyone.
