Prices are outrageous for the food. Server was terrible. Ask her 4 times to fill up my water and never did. The price for a supposed giant margarita $25 dollars. The giant margarita is the average small size at a Mexican restaurant. The cheese dip had a hair in it. Nice restaurant just terrible menu and food is average for the price. Once and done for us.

The food at Casa del Barco was delicious. Not only did it taste great but looked good too. The service was OK - wait staff took our order, another person delivered our food and we saw our waiter only once when he checked in on us and at the end when we asked for the bill. The atmosphere was good - lots of people but not noisy. The place was clean with a stylish decor. I highly recommend it.

Had a reservation for 10pm. Arrived on time at 9:55. Waited about 10 minutes and was seated. Get seated and was told by our waitress that the kitchen was closed but if we wanted food we could hurry up and put in an order. Why take a reservation for this time if your kitchen is closed. Ordered the chicken empanadas but when they came out it was mushrooms which I don’t eat. I told the waitress about it and informed her that luckily I have my epi pen. Ordered drinks which were good but wanted a second drink and the time was now 10:27 and could not get a second drink. Again why take a reservation for 10pm if we were not even going to have 30 mins to enjoy ourselves. The food was bland and cold. Had tacos and Mexican rice which the rice has absolutely no flavor and the tacos were just thrown together. Altogether the meal and experience was beyond mediocre.

We went for Cinco de Mayo during happy hour. We asked the waitress about HH to which she replied that HH was only offered at the bar. She provided us the option to go to the bar to grab a drink and come back to our seats. We ending up being okay with that and still has intentions of staying. About 10 minutes later, the manager(I’m assuming) came over to let us know, with an attitude stating “HH is only at the bar and if you get up out of your seat, I WILL give your table away, I’m letting you know now.” All of the hostility was not needed as we never even asked for a manager and had had intentions on still being customers. After that scenario, we ended up walking out. I will not be spoken to that way as an adult as I never once raised my voice to anyone there.

Adding the 20% gratuities left a sour taste in my mouth. Our waitress took our drink orders and we were missing a drink. Had to remind her and they brought it eventually. Mean time ordered apps and main entrees. We ended up short a street corn and I told her and she never brought it. We did get charged for it. She never refilled our waters or cleared the table for desert time. We had piles of dishes on the table without a place to sit and enjoy the desert. Adding a gratuity is ok if you are still planning on doing your job. I’m always generous while tipping but the waitress didn’t do the main functions of her job. Won’t be back.

Honestly, the food just wasn’t very good for anyone at our table which was a bummer because it was my birthday. The wait staff was not super attentive and we had to ask for the same thing twice and never got it. I wanted to like it here, but I don’t think we’ll be going back.

They implemented a 20% service fee so servers had no in incentive to actually serve. Multiple tables were frustrated and had to bring the manager over to correct their bill or get their check since the waitress was MIA. Spent $90 for 4 people and food was average. I likely wouldn’t return.

The food was average. The service was slow and the restaurant was not crowded. Our waitress did not check on us nor the other tables near us. A fellow diner got up and took silverware off of another table because they weren’t given any and the waitress never came to check on them. The restaurant has a policy of charging a 20% service fee, which would be fine, except it seemed to make our waitress not feel that she had to check in with us. When the waitress came to bring us our bill, she asked if we wanted to add a tip to our total. We asked her “is the 20% service fee not a tip? Do you not get it?” She admitted that it was a tip, but had we not been paying attention, we would have been charged twice for a tip. A below average experience and for the price, we can and will do better in the future.

Delicious food but the server forgot a few things we ordered. Also, they were not very attentive when needing water refills, silverware etc. Maybe they were just having an off night. Cool place and good food though so we’ll definitely be back. They need to lose the hot sauce holder on the table though. It only had one bottle and was constantly in the way for a table of 4.

Decent service, but not great- very obvious the 20% tip doesn’t need to be earned- there is an automatic 20% service fee added to all tabs, not just large parties. The electronic device to pay the bill requests additional tipping, which should be removed by the restaurant. Prices are high for meh food. This is not authentic mexican food, but an americanized version of mexican style mall food. On the up side, the decor is nice and the restaurant was clean. Since the ceilings are high, it is not a very cozy ambience, but you can tell effort was put into the design. Nice option for a group of friends celebrating a birthday when food quality expectations are low as long as the drinks are good. Not great for romantic evening or anything approaching a foodie experience.

Menu had few choices and not very exciting. Food was bland and while presented nice the food just seemed cheap. However the food was anything but cheap and well overpriced for what you got. They charged 20% gratuity which is my usual tip as I was once a waiter. The server did very little and if you order the food with their app the server would have even less to do. Then when you get the bill they give you a choice to tip 20%, 15%, 10% or no tip. But they automatically charge you 20%. So if you tip 20% they are actually getting 40%.

This was the first time that I’ve visited this location. I have gone to the downtown location. The food was good but the rice had no flavor. The drinks were okay- we ordered the frozen margaritas- overall, the service was excellent. The ambiance is family friendly. We will return.

Dined here with a group of 6 on NYE. The vibes are fun as soon as you walk in the door- we especially loved the tequila bottles hanging from the ceiling and the soft seating options. The ordering process is a little confusing because they encourage ordering via QR code yet your server still asks for your order. Other than that, our experience was amazing. The food was impeccable and tasted very fresh. Will definitely be back!!

Great food and AMAZING staff! Most of the ordering is done through your phone. It makes it easy to order what you want, when you want. However… my phone died so our server was kind and helpful making sure we were taken care of. I also watched the manager take the heavier trays for the food runner. (The food runner was also extremely kind and made sure we had everything we needed.) There is a mandatory 20% “service charge”. I asked the waiter if he gets that and he said yes, it is split between all of the staff, like a tip pool. I asked him if he liked that and he said yes and he gets paid a living wage here PLUS the tip pool. ❤️ Love, love this place.

My wife and I decided to get a quick dinner and the entire experience was just awful. She got a chicken quesadilla that was basically bland, I got the Baja fish burrito and it legitimately contained only a few pieces of fish and the rest was all rice. We were both highly disappointed with our visit, especially since this was our 3rd time trying this place out, I highly doubt we'll revisit this establishment.
