Enjoy a wonderful dining experience with family or friends at Carelli's. Owner Greg Carelli with help from his father Gene wanted to offer guests authentic Italian cuisine in a contemporary setting that features a large open flame fireplace, mosaic tiles, natural Birch woods, and warm lighting. An appetizer of fresh mozzarella and Beefsteak tomato caprese, lightly breaded calamari or lamb artichoke meatballs will please the palate at Carelli's. Guests can dine on baked jumbo shells stuffed with spinach and ricotta , the classic chicken parmigiana or shrimp scampi. Artisanal pizza, calzones, and paninis. Awsome Gluten-free options are also available.

Carelli's was the winner of the Daily Camera Reader's Choice 2002-2020 award for Best Italian Restaurant and ambiance. It also has won awards from the Denver Post and Boulder Weekly magazines. Sat promptly in the back dining room. This room is quieter and more intimate than the main room. Both are awesome but the back room makes conversation easier. Service was outstanding and food was phenomenal. Can’t wait to go back

Amazing staff! My daughter and I were to meet there for dinner and her car broke down. She was over an hour past our meeting time. The staff held our table while I left to get her. I thought this was over-the-top generous and kind of them, as it was a busy Saturday night! Carelli's is a fabulous restaurant with exceptional staff! Great food too!!

Had an amazing experience at Carelli’s. We got there early and they let us start early. Friendly staff and above&beyond service. The Caesar was perfect, traditional, but not fishy tasting. The calamari was excellent - perfect ratio of rings to tentacles - battered to perfection. The tri-colored tortellini was my personal favorite - an excellent creamy pesto sauce that tastes like Nonna’s (Grandma’s). The Mediterranean pizza was 10/10 - the marmalade drizzle brings it to a perfect ten, chef’s kiss. Then we took cannoli’s home because we were so full, but by the end of the night we had finished them off. They were immaculate. All around amazing experience. Will be back every weekend. Don’t know of any other places that do it quite like this.

As always, Carelli’s dinner last night was amazing! I had my favorite, the Classico pizza (the pizzas are out of this world!) with a couple of cocktails- the “Carelli Manhattan” was such a treat! The waiter was on point and super friendly. No complaints… love this place!

We have dined here many times over the years. We had not been here for a couple of years, but were in the area. I started out with the spinach salad, which was very good. My husband had their soup of the day, some type of potato soup with bacon, it was delicious. My entree was chicken al carrelli, I believe, it had chicken and broccoli, unfortunately for me it was very dry and I didn't really care for it. I can't recall what my husband ordered, but his was delicious. We will definitely return but I will definitely be ordering something else. Their garlic bread is very good, hard to stop eating it. We also ordered a couple of drinks, I had their house martini, made with pineapple. It was so good I ordered two. We will definitely return.

Service was slow but friendly. Our waiter was preoccupied w a very large party in back room. We were at table for 45 min before receiving bread which we had to ask for even though tables who were seated after us had already received. Almost all of our Food lacked flavor ( mushroom spaghetti, broccoli Carelli, gnocchi. Sauces needed more salt and spice. The best part of the meal was the charred broccoli. Would not return.

Carelli's food is always good. We asked for booth seating and again were told they were saving them for larger parties - instead we had to sit in the bar area, which we do not care for. The waiter was knowledgeable, but his mannerisms were a little odd.

We were there for a birthday. We were in the back area which is considerably more intimate than the front. Wonderful menu and our server was very attentive. And the Value! We will absolutely be putting this into our rotation. Thank you for such a great time and meal.

This was our first visit to Carelli’s and it was for a date night. The food was the highlight. Absolutely delicious. The garlic sauce they make is incredible. My wife also really enjoyed the house cab wine (with healthy pours!). A fun evening. We will be back.

I really want to like this restaurant as the Italian situation in Boulder is lacking. But the food is just not very good. I ordered chicken piccata which I expected to be a cutlet style of chicken in butter lemon sauce over fettuccine. But it’s all cut up into little pieces and incorporated into the pasta so it’s really a pasta dish. The salad was a plate of arugula with a grating of parmigiano (Parmesan?) and one very thin slice of radish. The bread is actually indescribably bad IMO, but the table next to ours LOVED it. It’s a no go for me but the place was packed!

Seated at small 2 seat table opposite entrance. There was no closure to wall with wine storage, so every time the outside door was opened, a blast of cold air would come through the wall. Food was excellent, but we had made reservation for our 42nd anniversary and had hoped for a better table where we didn’t have to wear our coats while eating.

Celebrating a promotion. This place used to be awesome. The food quality is just average now. Our sever was good, but there were just too many people seated in his section at once. This was our second average experience in 6 mths. We hesitated to make the reservation but wanted to give the benefit of the doubt. I don’t think we can go back…
