Made an Opentable reservation for 4 people, but on their system it only showed 2 guests, even though my confirmation was for 4 guests. Waited 20 minutes for our waiter to come to our table after we were seated by the hostess. We didn’t even have water served within that first 20 minutes. Service was very slow and our waiter seemed nervous/ new. He didn’t talk much at all. Ordered coffee at the end of our meal with dessert. Dessert came first, coffee never came. Flagged our waiter to let him know that if they didn’t make the coffee yet I no longer wanted it. Food and drinks were delicious, but the lack of good service left us disappointed and wanting more, especially after spending a decent amount on our bill. Specified in my opentable res. that we were there to celebrate our friend who is pregnant. No acknowledgment of anything special was made by the waiter or hostess, and it was sadly a very unmemorable evening.

I absolutely love this place. The ambiance was amazing and it was such a beautiful entrance. Our waitress was the best and she was helpful and funny. 10/10 will be back and I recommend this place to everyone. The food was great and the wine.

I have been seeing pictures of Cara for a while and just could not tell what it was about from the pictures. The pictures look great. So, it is a hotel. Small two story. And essentially, the courtyard of the hotel is the seating area for the restaurant. It is a cool vibe place. All of the tables have heaters nearby. There is a drape that separates you from the hotel rooms. So, if someone were to walk out of their room, they are right next to you. The drape was torn and showed some wear. The menu is eclectic. We had a very nice salad. The beet and grapefruit with hazelnuts. Excellent. Then the lemon pasta and ribeye. The steak was a bit under seasoned, but otherwise nice steak with good sides, cippolini onions and smashed potatoes. All very good. Desserts were average and not really what they claimed to be. The pot de creme was straight up pudding. The sticky toffee bread pudding was a bit burnt. It has character and the food was good. Definitely a place for a good dinner in a fun spot. I would go back. Worth a try.

What a quaint little hidden gem. The food was great, the ambience very nice and the staff, pleasant. There was however a lady at the table next to us with a yapping dog that was very annoying. The food was good, but a bit over priced in my opinon.

Amazing food, modern Italian feel and aesthetic. The reflection pool is gorgeous especially when the sun is shining, the canopies give the courtyard lighting almost a filter and it's calming as well as luxurious. Not to mention the incredibly helpful and kind people who work there ;) I went there for my birthday and had the best time sipping elderlfower soda and leaning on the plush cushions. My recommendation is the Branzino from the spring dinner menu or the Black Truffle Pappardelle

The two pastas we ordered were pretty tasty, but the yucatecan Ceviche was beyond salty to out taste. The view and ambience of the garden/outdoor dining area was breathtaking. Overall it was worth the visit.

Cara restaurant is always an amazing treat. Not only is the bar and the drinks special, the live music and the romantic atmosphere make it perfect for a date. The food is fantastic and there is something for every taste. Marie always greets with a smile and Dana is a great server with a smile.

Was blown away by this hidden gem in east Hollywood! Server was kind and warm, but a tad slow. The food timing, quality, taste and presentation were excellent. Great menu selection for brunch with lovely wine selections and cocktail list. The place was tastefully re-done with a great vibe-y bar area with live Jazz on Sundays! I will come back!

Over all a good experience but it’s really pricey! The venue is gorgeous but I can’t imagine staying here as a hotel guest when the restaurant surrounds the pool and is very loud! Food was good, but not THAT good for the price.

Great meal and wonderful service. Beautiful setting. We had Brussels sprouts, trout dip, mushrooms, fries, baby gem salad and broccolini. Yes a bunch of sides and appies that was perfect for two of us trying to be veg. We were stuffed. Brussels were excellent. Loved the salty fluffy cheese. Trout dip was excellent, served with nice toasted / olive oiled slices of perhaps ciabatta. Fries were great. Salad too. Broccolini a bit disappointing - not well cooked, un-inspiring. Nicely priced. Hip crowd but not too hip :-) for these 50 something's. Will definitely return. Bar was really cute too but a very different vibe (small, dark, lots of velvet and drapes)
