   As usual, the food was perfect - especially the French onion soup! - and our waier - William - was welcoming and professional at the same time. CanCan is a favorite, and with good reason! Oh, and the baguettes alone are worth a visit. . . .

    I have been to Can Can many times and have always had a good experience. Our group of four had lunch this past week. Our waiter was pleasant and took our order for food and drinks. Our food took a little longer than normal to arrive, but we were enjoying our conversation. Three of the lunches came out and I had to wait a good 10 minutes for my order to arrive. I insisted my table mates start their lunch as I didn’t want them to wait. When mine finally arrived it was not hot. I did not send it back because I had to wait so long for it to arrive. We all enjoyed ourselves and my quiche was good, but I was disappointed that all the lunches did not arrive at the same time and my food was not hot.

    Kitchen was a little slow getting our main courses out, but the food was great, as we have come to expect it to be. We also like their wine choices. But what brings us down from Fredericksburg frequently is their bread. OMG! And the fact that they’ll sell it by the loaf! It’s soooo good. We buy 3 baguettes, cut them in half, wrap & freeze them.

    If it weren't for the noise level we would give this 5 stars. The service, the food, the wine -- wonderful. The French onion soup transports one to Paris as does the winter vichyssoise.

    We are regulars at Can Can (10+ times a year) and very much like the dining experience. Last night we had a seafood “tower” with excellent mussels, clams, and oysters. The cheese board was a huge disappointment. The cheese was too cold, the presentation seemed lazy and the sliced bread (always amazing at Can Can) wasn’t appropriate for the course. We will be back but wanted to share that thought.

    Can Can is pretty much always a great choice. The service is always really strong, and I think the food is genuinely excellent. I was also surprised at how affordable the lunch options were. I will say, the cocktails (while tasty) are a little on the steep side, so just keep that in mind.

    We had a table for two on the bar side of the restaurant and it was extremely loud and busy. Our server was excellent and did the best she could to keep the bar crowd away. The food was excellent and the server was too… it was just very crowded!!!

    Gorgeous place with amazing food. We had an adorable little 2 person booth. We ordered: onion soup, prosciutto and manchego bites, chopped steak, steak frites and ended with macarons. Everything was amazing and I would recommend them all. Our server was very attentive and very accommodating!

    Food and service were excellent as always. One very notable issue was that the coffee was terrible. Extremely weak and poor quality. For a French brasserie, we'd expect to see strong, good quality coffee - or at least something that doesn't taste of dishwater. We ordered cappuccinos and they were fine.

    Service was very so-so... bit I've had good service there before. Wait staff needs to keep their head up looking at their other tables. I was frustrated while dining there... customer shouldn't come away frustrated. Food was pretty good. I didn't love the lamb dish.

    Always enjoy our dining experience at Can Can! Loved our Server Brandon too! As busy as the restaurant was, Brandon was extremely attentive and courteous. My favorite dish is always the Mussels and my husband enjoyed the boeuf bourguignon.

    The food was excellent as always, and our experience overall was very positive. However, our service during this visit had a few unexpected issues. First, our server mentioned that eggnog was a daily special, but failed to tell us its price or give any other indication that the eggnog was alcoholic. We only discovered this because my husband ordered it, expecting just what the server said - eggnog. He was okay with the surprise addition of alcohol, but this would not have worked for me (and would have resulted in a returned drink). Fortunately, I ordered hot chocolate, which was served overflowing with whipped cream but without a spoon. (Our server didn't check back, so after a few minutes my husband had to get up and ask for a spoon at the host station.) Finally, when our quiches were brought to the table, I told the food runner that I had the Quiche Lorraine, and he then set one of the quiches in front of me and set what was supposedly my husband's Lobster Quiche in front of him. We were very hungry and the quiches were very good, so it took us several bites before we realized that the food runner accidentally got our quiches mixed up. We just traded our plates and continued our meal, but a mistake like this could have been really harmful if either of us had a food allergy. Servers/food runners need to be clear on the food items they're delivering and listen to the guests, so that the food is served correctly.
