   We each had the fancy burger, and they were delicious. We asked for medium, and that's what we got. We were tempted by dessert. We got flaming pineapple upside down cake and vinegar pie. The vinegar pie was delicious. The flaming pineapple upside down cake was good. I would get it again. They warned me that whatever they use to get it to flame would leave some flavor, and it did. In the past, I've had the Basque cheesecake, and it is absolutely delicious.

   I really like this place. I dined this time because the restaurant promoted corned beef and cabbage. Two others in my party ordered it too and we all enjoyed it. One member of our group is gluten and dairy-free and they accommodated us nicely. The corkage fee is $20 which is reasonable. Otherwise, food and drinks are reasonably priced and it's a nice atmosphere. We will return.

    Our server was great as has been my experience at Butterjoint. I wish it was possible to get a small salad as I would often like that and an appetizer or soup. I get tire of the entree menu but love the raclett and the vinegar pie. The ambience in the big aid room is usually nice. I think I’ve been there about 7 times in the last six months so I obviously like it.

    An upscale casual eatery that has a nice atmosphere and good food with a local flavor. it is a very nice location for meeting with friends, catching up with student members of the family or enjoying a relaxing evening out.

    What a lovely dinner! We hadn't been to the restaurant since its post-Legume makeover, and we were very pleasantly surprised. The bistro-y menu and low key vibe were both perfect. Everything was delicious, from the smoked bluefish paté to the amazing dinner salad to vinegar pie with Millie's ice-cream. The burgers looked great as they passed by . The wait-staff was personable and helpful. Absolutely no complaints. We will be back soon.

    Great little gem of a neighborhood restaurant/bar with flair! Had the fancy burger which is one of the best in town, service was great even though obviously a little short staffed, apps and cocktails are superb! Will be back again for sure!

    My meal at Butterjoint was superb -- my fancy burger was excellent and the accompanying fries were near-perfect. My dining companion was similarly pleased with his pierogi. We both thoroughly enjoyed our cocktails as well: mine ordered off the menu (rye-based, Duck You Sucka) and his on spec (whiskey sour). Service and ambience were thoughtful and pleasing. Thanks to the staff for a delightful dining experience.

    Service was fantastic, I love the Mercy Of The Bartender drink option, I’m so indecisive and they always make something wonderful! Tiki Tuesdays are a MUST if you love a good tiki drink. Raclette is always an excellent app choice and I’ll always order the Pork Belly entree, whatever it is at the moment, as long as it’s on the menu.

    This place is amazing! The atmosphere is upbeat and fun, a little elevated but not stuffy. The food is creative and we’ll done. The service (Ryan the bartender, Tim the manager) were so attentive. Every single person we saw or interacted with treated us like friends - and not in a fake way. You can tell people enjoy working there and care about their work. We’ll be back for sure! Do not skip the fries!

    Such a great lunch menu. French onion soup is the bomb! Also there is nothing better than the smoked fish pate. Bigger plates for bigger appetites. One of the nicest dining rooms in the city that is open for lunch.

    Butterjoint is always a consistently great place to go. Sweet atmosphere and delicious food. Was excited to see some new adds to the menu this time . The cocktails are well thought out and expertly executed while all of our food hit the mark. This may be the best burger in the ‘burgh but don’t think of this as just a burger joint… it just happens to be on the menu. Oh, and the veggie burger was just as divine. Keep that vinegar pie on there PLEASE! Thanks for an excellent experience!

    It was our first time at Butterjoint. The food and drinks were delicious, the server did a great job recommending items to try. The ambience was low key and relaxing. It was perfect for a Friday evening out after a long week. Will definitely be back.

    Not for gluten free vegetarians. The vegetarian burger was not gluten free, and neither was their falafel, which was fried in gluten-contaminated oil. I was left with the choice of a “hearty salad,” when I’d been looking forward to an outstanding meal. True, the online menu would have been a warning, but other restaurants in this range have had more robust modifications, so I expected the same here. Also, in it’s former life, as Legume, I had quite a few fine GF vegetarian meals. The service was good. We asked to be reseated because of the drafty window seat on a cold night, but the manager made it so clear that we’d be inconveniencing them by moving to the only other table for two, that we stayed where we were and my companion ate with her winter coat draped over her shoulders. It’s a great restaurant for those who eat meat and can tolerate gluten, but I won’t be going back.

    Very disappointing. My guess is that this restaurant underwent a regime change in its kitchen and is still finding its new direction. The menu is very limited - which is not necessarily a bad thing - but any restaurant with a limited menu needs to ensure high quality and good value for their offerings. Butterjoint fails in this regards. On the plus side, the dining room is adorable and the atmosphere is cozy and romantic. The front of house staff were all warm and welcoming, although the bar service is a little sluggish. Sadly, the ambiance was not enough to make up for the bland and poorly presented tartare appetizer, my twenty dollar burger that looked and tasted inferior to any Red Robin equivalent, and my wife’s absurd pierogi entree which consisted of just three petite yet overly doughy pierogis with a small side of broccoli and sour cream served in a paper ramekin one might expect to find in a Wendy’s. Somehow my entire bill came to $130 which felt like robbery for what we received. We will not be returning.
