   We were a large party post graduation. Our server could have used some assistance, a buser perhaps. The bar was also quite messy (pre dinner cocktails) with dirty glasses and bar supplies everywhere. Otherwise friendly service and good food.

   Usually I am very pleased here, but today the hostess was very unprofessional and would not honor our reservation . Full of lame excuses that were inappropriate as a hostess. Manager was rude too. I realize these are challenging times but I would rather have them acknowledge that then be rude with excuses.

   They did not have enough waiting staff so we had no silverware nor plates on our table even though we had bread. When they brought silverware is was all in a bunch inside the one cloth napkin. Silverware was dirty then they drop paper cocktail napkins because the had run out of cloth napkins. Half the menu they had run out of by 6:00 pm and the food was cold. Not what we wanted to celebrate a birthday and graduation. Super disappointed.

   I have eaten at Brio in Frontenac at least 6 times. Every single time the food has been horrible. The food quality and preparation is less than Applebee's. This time around my "chicken" was tough, dry and had sat so long (under a lamp, I am sure) that the marsala wine sauce had congealed and developed a skin. I am convinced they pre-plate their dishes and have them out sitting under heat lamps. The potatoes that came with my chicken was also slightly dry, lukewarm and had no seasoning at all. It is just consistently bad over the course of years. Why do I go then, you ask? Because the location is hard to beat, and the patio is a dream. It's almost like this - go for the ambience, and order only the simplest pasta dishes and you should be all right. I would not trust them with a meat order ever again and a couple of years ago my friend ordered a tiramisu that had a fly in it. This time, I ordered gelato with chocolate sauce since they can't let that sit out without the ice cream melting.

    We had a 5:30 PM reservation. We were taken to a dirty table right away and sat there for at least 20 minutes before anyone came by to take our drink order. The waitress then disappeared for another 20 minutes. This cycle continued for our entire dining experience which basically ruined our celebratory event. Thanks for nothing Brio of STL. If you don’t have the staff to provide even the basic level of service, don’t take reservations. If I’m going to spend $250 on a meal, I expect a minimal level of decent customer service. I would give you a zero rating if possible.

    Not sure if they were having an off night on Mother's Day but our food took forever and when it finally arrived, three of our six entrees were ice cold and inedible. I noticed several other tables having the same issues as us. Maybe they're understaffed, but we won't be rushing back.

    If there will be zero stars, I’d rate that. We sit after making a reservation a week ago. Server came only after 25 mins. We ordered right away of course. Two hours later, we had to leave without eating. They had 6 ppl to sit you, but a few waiters. Servers were lost. They literally were going table to table to see if that was the right one. Our food might have as well ended somewhere else. When ask to talk to Manager, they refused. I saw several other people leaving as well. They’ve ruin our Mothers Day. Awful.

    First and only visit to Brio. Pre-tip for 2 adults and 2 teens was $240. Took 2 hours due to very slow service despite tables being 3/4 occupied and bar about 1/3 occupied. Filet ordered medium rare was well done. Salmon was just warm and combination of sides were odd. Chicken limone was battered in an egg wash—was about 1/4 scrambled egg and 3/4 chicken, nothing comparable to other restaurants with good chicken limone. Shrimp pasta was fine, though pasta was stuck together in chunks. Too many good restaurants within a 15-minute radius to return for, at best, overpriced and poorly executed meal.

    Other people were seated before us and it definitely took the 15 minutes waiting for a table past the reservation time. Food was good. One waiter needs to realize this is a nice restaurant and shouldn't have his shirt half buttoned.

    Food was very good. Our server was awesome. Our group was used to meeting at Bravo (now closed) and we decided to try the sister restaurant and had such a positive experience that Brio will be our new meeting place!

    They were out of lamb and beef!! And they didn't let us know until after we had our drinks, so there was no leaving! Our waiter has friendly and energetic but a huge mess. He gave us bread and butter but no plates or utensils so we couldn't eat it, and disappeared for 10 minutes. When we put in an order for drinks he said there was a scarcity of glasses and he'd look for them?! Our calamari appetizer was good but very small for 5 people...which is fine, but our Waiter might have mentioned it. Soups were good, but we saw them sit under the heat lamp for 5 minutes before they were delivered, so they had a skin on top. At some point between courses the bartender brought over more cocktails, which we hadn't ordered but I thought maybe they were a "gift". Nope. The bartender said "let me check on that", disappeared with the drinks, and I could see them the rest of our meal sitting on top of the bar. I mean, they'd already made them, would it have been so awful under the circumstances to let us have them? People who came after us left before us. Not sure what was happening?! Our meal was long and eventful. As a side note to Brio, my kids like the lemonade which costs $4 and the menu says has a sugared rim. They were both delivered without the sugared rim. If you're going to promise it, and I'm going to pay for it, you should deliver it.

    Overall an interesting night, the place was pre Prom central, at least 25 or more teenage couples dining...prom dresses today are not your mother's dress! A poor server dropped a tray of food nearby, handled quickly and appropriately. Our server, Tyrell, did a great job, was able to get drinks and food to us in a timely manner despite a large crowd all hitting at the same time. The salmon salad and chicken limone were very good. Will go back, but will avoid prom night.

    The restaurant was packed!! Service was not the greatest, but it is clear that they were short-staffed which is pretty typical these days. Everyone was friendly and the food was good, so did not ruin the experience.

    Extremely Loud, mostly from the. Open kitchen and staff. Waitress less than attentive. Party of 10 arrived after us, receive drinks and ate dinner before we receive our diner. We ordered first :-(

    I usually have a great experience at Brio, but today was an exception. Our server was either overwhelmed or inexperienced. We had ordered salads with our meals. These were brought to our table. Nearly 45 minutes later we had not gotten our entrees. When they arrived they were warm but not hot. We had to tell the server numerous times that we needed separate checks. When he brought the check it was one amount not separate as we requested. For what should have been a relatively brief lunch we were there nearly 2 hours.

    Unfortunately, it was extremely busy on Sunday night. I felt bad for our server as he clearly had too many tables to which he was assigned. My food arrived cold; it had been sitting around long enough to reach room temp. My son’s meal was perfect, so I was happy that at least he was satisfied. I sent mine back as it was not enjoyable so cold, but I should have simply asked for a “to go” box as my son was finished eating by the time my food was brought back to the table. Also, I was full from eating a lot of bread while waiting for my meal. Not the best experience, but I will blame it on Brio being very busy.

    We had a reservation for eight people and despite that they sat us at a table that held 6 and added extra chairs even though they had a bigger table available they would not seat us at it saying it was reserved , but no one sat at it the entire time we were there. They did not give us enough bread plates or silverware and we had to ask for more. The waitress took 20 minutes to take our order and we had to ask her twice for my drink. One of the plates was dirty. I was disappointed with the experience and won’t eat here again.
