Following a full refurbishment, The Narrow will be reopening from 23 November as Bread Street Kitchen on the River, an all-day dining restaurant in a stunning Grade II-listed riverside restaurant.

    A great working dinner with colleagues. The Wellington was superb and a good time was had by all. Food, drinks and service on-point and we enjoyed a leisurely dinner whilst wrapping up for the day.

    I had Sunday Roast there on the 17th while visiting London. Ridiculously good food. Also loved the cocktails, especially one called Old Man. Location is stunning and the whole staff were so attentive. I loved the bubbly manager, Raphael, who was super professional and so fun at the same time! Go!

    Venue is good and maybe we hit it on a off day. But to have a 7.30 booking on a Saturday! To be greeted that of the eight starters four weren’t available sold out , plus No chicken curry or fish and chips were unavailable as pretty poor ! Just needed more attention to detail and service was average, will return to hopefully find it was a one off.

    My husband and I just moved to Canary Wharf, and this evening we took my parents to Bread Street Kitchen & Bar for a family evening. The experience was great, the food was very high quality and the ambience, by the river, was unique. However, the spotlight of the light was being served by Rafael - he was very attentive to all details and made us feel like we were special guests, even this having been our first visit. He recommended the cod and the pistachio ice cream with fondant, which were spot on. We will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend.

    Amazing Brunch on Saturday, weather and location was perfect - watching the boat traversing the Thames . Met Rafaela, Anna and the team who are really friendly and the service was spot on.. Definitely will come again... even for just a drink REH

    Our server David was so attentive and friendly! The food was delicious, had taken a little longer to arrive then expected, but it was still worth it. Food is a tad pricy, but overall we loved it. Beef Wellington for 2 was so good.

    I had arranged lunch with a friend and the restaurant was very quiet (it was a Monday). We were told that two starters weren’t available plus a curry main course. We ordered two prawn cocktails, very tasty, though small portions, followed by Sea Trout and Duck salad. These two dishes were tasty and nicely presented, however, we waited about an hour for our two main dishes to arrive! A considerable time to wait when the restaurant was very quiet!

    We had not visited Bread Kitchen since a Dubai visit to the famous restaurant that had a diversity of meal choice and the infamous beef wellington was repeated here at this concession (chain) of Gordon Ramsey's kitchen on the riverside (Limehouse). This was a different experience from our last visit as we are locals and we will certainly return again especially for the lunch al carte menu offer of £19.

    Repeat customer at this Riverside delight. Although a little out off the way, the effort to visit is rewarded by the view, the decor and the impeccable service. The set menus is unbeatable value with the wine list not so great on value, but still offering some solid choices. I wish I got the name of our server this trip - braided hair with some teeth piercings... She really was so warm welcoming and professional (even with us having an excitable 5yo in tow for her birthday). One of Mr Ramsey better mid range outlets!

    Party of six we all overall had a nice time but it was very loud and a little bit on top of each other. Food was nice but overpriced. £26.50 for curry. steak was rare instead of medium rare and overpriced for the cut & quality of the meat, fries ordered separately not included with steak. Have been for a Sunday lunch before which was delicious so would come back on a Sunday.

    Had an amazing meal with my family and kids to celebrate my 40th Birthday. Jess looked after us superbly and helped make the afternoon really memorable. Food was on point and in particular the Beef Wellington for two. And a lovely selection of drinks including the ‘Old Man’ cocktail which felt apt and went down a treat!     Got the Beef Wellington..... Was good, but not as good as expected, could be more spicy. Taste was really "flat". Side salad was missing dressing and the leafs were a bit brown/old (I must not pay for it). Mash and carrots were well, but thats the minimum I expected. Gravy was good, ordered more bc we needed it, was no problem. I told them my experience and they handled it well. I miss a bit the "old" Narrow, nowadays everything is a BSK.

    A wonderful dining experience with a great location. The service was fantastic and the staff (especially David) went above and beyond to make our evening perfect. All courses were delicious, presented beautifully and the menu options are varied so as to cater for everyone. I would highly recommend a visit.

    Went with my family for dinner, but was thoroughly disappointed. The restaurant smelt fishy, and the service was lacking. We had to wait for a very long time before our food and arrived. The food was also disappointing. I had a chicken dish and was sick afterwards. Needless to say I won't be going back there any time soon.

    The Bread Street Kitchen on the River is in a great location and appears to be very popular. It may be useful to let anyone with mobility issues know that access is by a steep set of steps. The poor layout of the restaurant makes moving around difficult, particularly for staff, making delivery of food to tables far from smooth. Dishes were arriving 2 at a time (including sides) which made the meal disjointed. We also had to remind staff on several occasions that elements of our meal had not yet arrived. We also had to ask for condiments - we didn't even have salt and pepper on the table. We ordered 2 bread baskets for starters, a prawn cocktail and the spiced, fried cauliflower. The bread was lovely and warm, but even spread very thinly, there was not enough butter (we had to ask for more, and then remind our server as she forgot the first time). The cauliflower was amazing, tasty, there was a lot of it and it was by far the best value-for-money dish. The prawn cocktail was small, underwhelming, overly fussy and expensive. For our main course, we ordered the BBQ soy glazed aubergine which was nice, but didn't taste of anything more than aubergine, the burger and chips which was fine but nothing special, and two of our party had the fish and chips. The fish was nice but batter was not crispy and again, the chips were nothing special. As a Gordon Ramsey restaurant, all we kept visualising was how he rips apart the quality of food at other restaurants. Maybe it's time he reviewed the quality of the food and service at his own restaurant. We were disappointed.

    We had a terrible waiter from the start he served half the table drinks bizarrely and the rest of us had to wait for ten minutes One starter was forgotten no apology we asked several times and was told it’s coming no apology He had no etiquette placing the meals on the table Then knocked one of our main meals off the serving tray on to the floor so one person had to wait for the kitchen to cook meal redone and to add insult to injury there was no apology from our waiter just grunts and he definitely did not represent Gordon Ramsay standards We did get offered complimentary dessert but it was not a good replacement for what had gone on throughout our dinning experience which was a shame as we had been last month and it was lovely

    I booked here for my partners birthday. Our experience was not the greatest unfortunately. the starter was forgotten and then delayed. My main, the butter chicken tasted more like tomato soup and finally my partner didn't really get to choose what dessert he wanted, they just came out with a stale brownie and ice cream with happy birthday writing on it. Definitely will not be going back, extremely disappointed.

    Service is slow and the waitress seems neglecting us and not in a good mood. Desserts are climax of the ugly food, ie made from the canned fruits and seems not good quality cans either and the waffle is worse than some low-end supermarket ones. Not coming back again.

    Ions of my favourite places, great location , excellent service. I was a little disappointed with my fish and chips order. It was very soggy , cold and no crisp to it the batter. The beef roast was good that my gf ordered.

    The location with the view was nice and staff were friendly but unfortunately the food wasn't as good as we experienced in other BSKs. For starters, the padron peppers were far too salty and they didn't have any crispy duck salad. For the mains, one of the pork belly orders was mostly fat and the "crackling" was no where near crispy, was like jelly. Chips weren't seasoned and the creamed spinach looked fluorescent and tasted terrible. Unfortunately the memo of timings was not passed on as I had asked for something special to celebrate Birthday and Anniversary of my guests but they were brought out with the bill so they could only enjoy a couple spoons before we had to leave.
