The service was incredible! Everyone was so thoughtful and attentive. The food was amazing — I had the escargot and filet and my husband had a caesar salad and NY strip. The portions were generous and the food was flavorful and cooked perfectly. Our server even brought us creme brûlée for our anniversary, and it was the best I’ve had! Our cocktails were expertly crafted as well. I definitely recommend!

Party of 3, sat outside on the patio. Great prompt service. Friendly, professional. We had an order fries to start, tasty! We each had a salad with either Shrimp or Salmon. Proteins done perfectly. Salads nice portions and really good. Had strawberry banana sorbet for dessert. Banana favore definitely stronger than the strawberry but still refreshing and enjoyed. Would happily come back for a future meal! Definitely recommend!

The cucumber soup was great, the medium rare steak on my salad was so tough I gave up trying to cut through it. Currently there is a lot of construction across the road so it’s very noisy to sit outside. I was caught off guard when I looked at my receipt after departing and found that they auto charge 20% service, which I unwittingly put another 20% on top of. It would have been nice if the server had mentioned service was included. I suppose he’ll enjoy a $40 tip on two lunches. Sigh.

Have dined here several times over past few years, but last couple of times have been disappointing all around, especially the service. It is not coincidental this happened at the same time they started adding a “mandatory” 20% charge the bill to help pay the staff and servers, who now are guaranteed a nice tip regardless of the level of service (which is poor). Also, the entire team of servers at our table last time could barely speak and understand English. My wife and I are done coming here.

First of all, this place is beautiful and the staff were wonderful and incredibly attentive and friendly. We came here for my husband’s birthday dinner and we tried drinks, starters, mains and dessert. There is a great selection of drinks and the starters were delicious. For the mains, my husband got the filet mignon which was nearly $40 for two very thin pieces of steak, not an actual steak. I had the mussels which were good, but incredibly salty. Overall, I think that this place was ok, but with all of the amazing restaurants in the DMV, I think we can get better food for a better value elsewhere.

Unfortunately our Brunch was not good, overcooked eggs, cold tasteless potatoes, over dressed salad. The only good thing was our server from Serbia, he was knowledgeable, funny and made our day.

Attended as a party of four during restaurant week, and we all ordered from the fixed price menu. Food was just alright. The NY Strip wasn’t actually NY Strip. Beet salad was tasty. When the bill arrived, we had FOUR up charges for steak, even though only two of us ordered the imposter NY strip steak. There were also FOUR up charges on the fish entree, even though only ONE was ordered. My wife was heavily over served.

We had an excellent table (after waiting 40 minutes). The food price is reasonable, but we were all surprised to see a 20% service fee. I thought it was the automatic added gratuity for large parties, but "NO". You are expected to tip 20% on top of the 20% service fee. If you want to eat here, plan on budgeting an additional 50% (20% service fee + 20% tip + 10% DC dining tax). I felt really bad because I organized the brunch and I felt like I bamboozled my friends into eating here. I used to love this place, but this definitely left a bad taste.

Food was very disappointing. Went there for brunch and they were out of a lot of things even though they just opened an hour before. The florentine Benedict had no flavor whatsoever, not even salt and pepper. Not worth it.

Chef Sashika creates masterpieces every day. The new expanded dining areas are bright, comfortable, and appealing - my latest visit was during daytime dining. Evenings are cozy, and each room is welcoming. In particular, the staff and Chef Sashika go out of their way to make special items that fit my dietary challenges!! Each visit I get something delicious, tailored specifically for my food sensitivities. Every dish is intriguing as well as completely satisfying and scrumptious. Liberte is one of my favorite restaurants anywhere!

Took 30 minutes for us to get our drink order. We had to flag down a manager to get service. Had to ask the hostess as well to find our server. There were a lot of wait staff just standing about. Tables seated after us were getting their food before we got to order.

Delicious food. Great service provided by the bartender. He was attentive and helpful with recommendations. The restaurant week menu was great. Included delicious escargot, seared salmon and flan for dessert. Great choice for dinner.

Food was delicious. 20% service fee (that does not go directly to servers) was frustrating and felt too cute by half and wasn’t noticeable on the menus. I would suggest just incorporating any necessary fees into the food costs.

Hidden 20% service charge is deceitful. Menu prices should be adjusted if necessary where everyone can see them before hand. COVID is over but the scammers remain.

Nice place and decent food. Got a big surprise when the bill came. 20% service charge added which was not the tip. Allegedly, to help pay busboys. It was in small print at the bottom of the menu. Will not be returning

Visited Brasserie Liberte during restaurant week. I would definitely return. I had the escargot and avocado toast with pot de creme for dessert. Nice cocktail. Excellent value for the money. Service was outstanding and the ambiance was congenial. Nice spot for a date or lunch or dinner with friends.

Service was the only good experience I had at this restaurant. The server was attentive and friendly and accommodating. The food, in contrast, was a serious disappointment. Had the country pate as a starter and it was way too salty. The burger, on the other hand, was soooooo under seasoned. It was essentially flavorless and just awful. Finished the meal with Tarte Au fromage - for some reason it also just tastes like it just came out of the fridge and almost soggy in the middle. It was not a good experience and I do not know if I’d come back at all

Our server, Marcos, was amazing! He answered all our questions on what’s the most popular dish, his favorites/recommendations, and how the food/drinks taste. The hostesses were rude and unfriendly even though it wasn’t busy and we had reservations.
