I made a Father’s Day reservation at Boujimana and selected the 2:00 p.m. time slot that was available when booking. If arriving at that time was going to be a problem, I would have happily chosen a different reservation. Unfortunately, from the moment we arrived, it felt like accommodating our reservation was an inconvenience. Rather than feeling welcomed, we got the impression that the restaurant was doing us a favor by honoring a reservation they had offered. Our server was friendly and attentive, and I appreciate his efforts, but the overall experience was disappointing. As the meal went on, it became increasingly clear that the restaurant was focused on closing for the day. We felt rushed through our meal, and the atmosphere became uncomfortable as closing procedures began around us while we were still dining. It took away from what was supposed to be a special Father’s Day celebration. The food was good, and our server did a nice job, (which is why I rated service 5 stars) but the way we were greeted upon arrival and the sense that we were being hurried out the door overshadowed the experience. Based on this visit, I don’t know if we will return.

Wonderful, attentive service. We celebrated a birthday with 12 guests. TJ our lead server was accommodating of our various requests for a large group. We were surprised that birthday presents were provided as well. X, short for Xavier, at the bar was awesome as well. Ruby and other team members were able to flex with the increased number of guests. We have been regulars at this restaurant but last night was the first time we had a big group - and we were just impressed with their gracious hospitality. Good vibes, food and drinks.

Excellent food, service and ambiance. Easy to get to with plenty of parking, which is often a problem for lunches around San Diego these days.

Our first time with friends who love it here . It was a wonderful dinner . The food , the service , the decor all will make us return again soon ! Thank you also for finding our wine tote :)

This was the perfect start to the weekend. Luke was our waiter and very friendly and attentive. Chad the manager brought my wife some birthday treats, made her day. We got savory and sweet breakfast item and all were good. Cocktails were well balanced. Every trip to San Diego will include a reservation here. Truly a gem.
