I enjoyed all food and wine except the dessert was a little disappointing (Orange upside down cake). Orange slices were very thin and I thought it lacked flavor. The Adventurous was super tasty. Salad was full of fresh ingredients. Pork Tenderloin melted in my mouth. I knew that seating upstairs can be noisy, so maybe I will try the bar seating downstairs next time. The server was very energetic and although he was taking care of six tables almost by himself, he made us feel that we were well taken care of every minute. I took a friend here for the first time and she totally enjoyed it too. Thank you!! Would return for sure.

We had a wonderful experience at Bouche. Our server, Samuel, was so friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious. The prix fixe menu offered great options, and they made sure to inquire about any food allergies or preferences. We will definitely return.

First, it should be noted that I came to Bouche with three picky teenage young ladies. I should have been awarded a medal! Herding cats would have been easier! We enjoyed every morsel of food put in front of us. We started with the cheese board. It turned out to be too adventurous for two of my granddaughters. Great! More for me and one of my granddaughters. The blue cheese was divine! It came with sliced apples, and a cranberry bread along with this fabulous sauce that was sweet and tart. When you ate it with the blue cheese on that bread, it exploded into something unique and made me stop and experience the moment because the taste was so sophisticated! Wonderful! Then we moved to the soup. Butternut squash with a drizzle of cream and a few pumpkin seeds. Two of the picky granddaughters decided (Lord, HELP ME!) to divide one bowl into two. The wait staff made the change and happily served us. Then comes the main entrees. Picky granddaughter no.1 ordered the trout. Why? SHE DOESN'T EVEN LIKE FISH!!! The rest of us had pork. Picky no.1 left nothing on her plate! While she was eating, we all were gob smacked! She kept telling us how wonderful the fish was. A miracle! Our pork dish was heavenly! Because I have a medical condition, I can't eat spinach. It was the only thing I left on my plate. What ever else was on my plate, I can't remember...I was so focused on the pork. It was perfect for me and picky granddaughters no.2&3. Finally, dessert. It was picky no.1 granddaughter's birthday. The wait staff made sure her dessert had a little candle! They had gelato and I had the upside down cake. We all had Expresso. The whole staff of Bouche made this one of our most treasured memories. We are so happy. We will come back again, soon!

All the reviews I read were accurate: warm welcoming atmosphere, great service and good food. I had the tasting menu and it was quite good. As it was my first time there hard to judge the food on a holiday menu… I’ll be back to try again!

I would highly recommend this gem of a restaurant in downtown SF with great food and impeccable service. We were seated at the window and we had 4 courses. All fantastic. Felt friendly the minute we walked in. Would return soon.

Bouche was very accommodating, to a last minute change in our reservation, to one diner's requests for special, dairy-free preparations, and to our need to make it to the theater by a certain time. The service overall was attentive and professional. And the food was fine although the menu is prix fixe. Make sure you check ahead of time to be certain there are selections that appeal to you. The only complaint we had was the high noise level upstairs, a problem not unique to Bouche but evident at many SF restaurants. Obviously Bouche has no control over loud conversations, but one wonders why add to the din by playing recorded music which no one can hear or enjoy?

Excellent food. Not wildly imaginative or jarring, but rather subtle and tasty. Good, limited wine list. The “adventure appetizer” was a flavorful surprise. The second floor was pleasant, if a little creaky and dim. Windows open to the street.

We had mussels for an appetizer, both had salads. Mussels weren't that good. The salads were excellent. My friend had a cream pasta, I tried a bit and it was delicious. However, my pork chop was too dry. The ice cream dessert was really good but the other dessert with figs had no taste whatsoever. I have to mention that the service was superb. Waitresses/hostesses downstairs were kind and understanding when my friend was late and our waiter was excellent. I had visited here many times before and was all 5 stars. However, this time around the food was hit and miss so I had to give them only 4 stars.

Bush is by far our favorite restaurant in San Francisco! The decadent French cuisine changes so often I feel like we could eat here every week and still be surprised! The ingredients are always the most fresh, and surprisingly has changed my mind on so many different types of food I thought I would never enjoy a king to love! If you’re looking for a romantic dinner with your favorite love, one, this is the place! I highly recommend sitting at the bar and enjoying feeling like you’re part of the family ambience it’s always so welcoming every time we come to visit!

We had a fantastic time at Bouche. The entire staff was efficient and worked as a team, but also were incredibly friendly. The palate and presentation of the food were of a caliber that merited the price, and we had an excellent bottle of wine from the region of Jura. Moreover, we looked back on our experience and thoroughly enjoyed it - it felt relaxed, fun, a little exotic, and worth what we paid. Would certainly recommend to a friend.

The restaurant is supposed to be French, but the menu does not include many French dishes (not even the traditional onion soup). Although the service was good (kind waitress and cook), the poor quality of the ingredients and the lack of proper cooking are evident as soon as your food is served on your table. On top of everything, the cost for such terrible food is really high. Unless there's a change, I won't be coming back nor recommend this place.

Dinner is a fixed menu with 2-3 seasonal selections per category. Vegetarians and meat-eaters alike can select a wonderful set. Kitchen is sensitive to food allergies so gluten-free needs are tastefully met. Very much missing Bouche's full pre-pandemic menu where it was so much fun to select a wide range of items for our table (especially when we joined with friends). Service has improved (was very well staffed this occasion) than in the previous few years. Suggested wine pairings were perfect! Bouche has been a favorite of ours for 10+ years. Missing Julie!

2nd try. The tuna was bland and dry on edges. Did not seem fresh. The soup needed spices...the desert needed sugar. Almond flour and cocoa don't do.much. It was dry....
