Love Bordelaise! Steak night Tuesday is a winner. The service started a bit slow but got much better. Great choice of wines and I’ll be going back for baked st marcelin! Delicious.

Lovely Christmassy atmosphere. Although the tables were very close together inside we were not conscious of being overlooked by others. The food was delicious and we all had the flat iron steaks then shared the sides amongst us. Will definitely be back.

Food was generally well cooked and presented, but the steak was very heavy on the onion - i suppose this should be somewhat expected from a French restaurant but it still seemed excessive and overpowering. We went on a saturday night where it was particularly noisy, so definitely not a good place for a quiet/romantic Saturday meal if that's what you're after. Can imagine it would be a nice place for food before drinks and a busy night though. My least favourite thing would have to be the value for money. We went for the 500g cote de boeuf, well cooked but not a particularly nice cut of meat or particularly flavoursome (except the onion). Not quite the level I would have expected compared to other restaurants serving good steak in nearby areas (e.g. Arlos in Balham).

Lovely meal at Bordelaise. Friendly staff and good buzzy atmosphere. Food was excellent and everyone enjoyed all the dishes. Enjoy sitting in the more indoor section of the restaurant and slightly more comfortable there. Will definitely come again!

Great friendly authentic French bistro in heart of buzzy Tooting Broadway Market. Superb choice of lovely food, the braised ox cheeks as a main were outstanding as was the traditional French onion soup to start.

I love Bordelaise! I love it even more when there's 2 for 1 steaks on a Tuesday. Amazing value. Delicious steak, green beans (I can never do green beans the way the French do them) and frites. A very nice glass of merlot and there's a Tuesday!

Really disappointing meal ... The snail starter was served in a scorching dish but the snails were cold. No vegetarian starters and the dish marked as vegetarian on the snack menu wasn’t actually vegetarian. The fish was over cooked and the pie was average. The waiters were friendly and helpful abut they really needed another member of waiting staff as they seemed to be overstretched.

A familiar French menu of deliciously cooked food with a good short wine list. Excellent service, and a friendly team. Don’t take cards so you need to bring a wad of cash.

Excellent steak in the fun setting of Tooting market. I will return for sure.

2-4-1 Tuesdays! Bargain! Good steak and sides and nice vibe. Nice menu and good food and friendly service, can not fault it. Cash only but no bother.

Excellent Dinner at very reasonable price - we had two for one deal on flat steak. It was beautifuly cooked and flavoursome.

Delicious onion soup, fish perfectly cooked, sides of dauphinoise, green beans and chips in drippping plus simply sumptuous cote de boeuf with cheese and desserts to match.

The steak was seriously undercooked. We asked for medium rare and it was ‘blue’ not even ‘rare’! No issue with sticking it back on the grill but it tends to take the shine off the experience. Very good value on a Tuesday with 2 flatirons for the price of 1.

Really lovely ambience and fantastic service. Perfect for a date night, with family, with friends i would recommend to anyone looking for a quality meal in Tooting market. This has been one of my favourites since it opened and remains so. The two for one steak deal on a Tuesday is a BARGAIN so get yourself down to Bordelaise!! Great wine choice also :)

I love this place. Great food, great service and a lovely atmosphere :)

I thought the restaurant was beautiful with the dried flowers outside. I had the prawns and leeks which went together really well and the sauce was delicious. My friend had the confit duck which was perfectly cooked and so tasty.

Really fun Friday evening here with friends. Enjoyed the cote de boeuf and too much wine! Would definitely go again.

A fantastic restaurant nestled within Tooting market, with lovely staff a really nice ambience and the steak is outstanding ! One of the tastiest I've ever had and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend!

Market was buzzing and was a good thing we’d booked as it was really packed. Food was great, restaurant had a nice ambience and served very was quick and attentive. Good value for money - 2 courses each and a bottle of wine all for under £70.
Definitely recommend it as a great date night or a night out with friends late into the small hours as you can visit any one of the many other bars and restaurants in the market.

First visit and was excellent. Very friendly service, delicious food and very accommodating of our pram! Will definitely be back.

Loved the food.

We were super hungry and the place was full - had to wait a long time for the menu once seated so just checked it online. No big deal. Our waitress was very apologetic and very professional and she deserves the 5 stars.
