Michelin starred Boka Restaurant has been a fixture in Chicago dining since 2003. In January 2014, Chef Lee Wolen joined as Executive Chef/Partner after the restaurant underwent a major renovation. Since his time at Boka, critics have taken notice. Phil Vettel of Chicago Tribune and Eater Chicago both named Lee as “2014 Chef of the Year.” Most recently, Lee was named 2015 “Chef of the Year." Boka’s food features contemporary, American cuisine, focusing on seasonality and sourcing as many local ingredients as possible.

    Boka is proud to continue our seasonal Boka: The Cookbook dinner series, celebrating the arrival of Spring for this second installment in our four-part dinner series. Each of the four tasting menu-style dinners will take place across the year, showcasing hyper-seasonal recipes straight from the cookbook's pages. The Spring chapter will take place on Wednesday, May 15th, promising an immersive six-course feast for the senses. Reservations are priced at $175 per person and include a signed copy of Boka: The Cookbook. An optional wine pairing is available for purchase. Due to the nature of this dinner, we are unable to accommodate specific allergies and dietary restrictions.

    It was on our list of “final restaurants” before we leave Chicago for Miami, and we are so happy that we re-visited Boka tonight. So sad to leave it, but so thankful for it.

    My favorite restaurant in Chicago. The food is always technically well executed and delicious. Service is always on point, great cocktails and wine options. Lovely atmosphere and design

    If I had one final meal, I would go here. Great food but even better service. The staff on the Saturday night I was there were among the best I’ve seen in any venue ever. Thank you Boka for the memorable experience

    Just an amazing meal! Delicious, complex, beautiful. So many things my gluten free friend could enjoy, too. Outstanding service. My husband loved his Lion Mane mushroom entree, the best turnip I've ever eaten, delicious fish and truffle chicken Yum!

    I’d like to share my experience at the restaurant. The night was beautiful, and I thoroughly enjoyed the tasting menu. However, as a red wine enthusiast, I wished there were more options available. Despite spending around $300 for the meal, I was disappointed with the interaction with the chef. I requested a photo with him and his signed book, but he seemed hesitant to engage, citing shyness. Seeing him socialize with friends at the bar while I waited left me feeling let down. It almost soured my evening, despite the excellent service from the bartenders. While the food was enjoyable, the lackluster interaction with the chef makes me hesitant to return to this Michelin restaurant. Additionally, I understand that not many patrons may purchase the chef’s book daily, but when someone does, I hope the chef won’t hesitate to engage with them and take a photo.

    Amazing well conceived and artistic choices. I had a half duck breast , crispy and like a wagu steak , with perfect accompaniments. Amazing wine list-call ahead to decant your fav, and creative cocktails!
