Went this past Sunday for brunch to celebrate three friend's birthdays. The experience was marred by the fact that we had a 1:30 pm reservation and were not seated until 2:15 pm. No acknowledgement, no apology, zilch! Overheard a staff person explain to another party that their reservation was going to take longer than expected and offered them drinks at the bar. This is a lovely little neighborhood spot. The decor is charming and they serve a very good Croque Madame and a delicious cafe con leche. I won't be going back though until they get handle on the timing of their reservations.
Food was overpriced with small portions. Service was mediocre.
First time here and so glad we did it. Food was great. Busy but good place to catch up with family on a Saturday night. Reasonable prices. Delicious lychee lemonade.
Great decor and service. Very consistent
Food was great. Ambiance was great. Service was great.
Its a great place for pictures not food. Very nice decor and ideas/concepts.
Don't know how to spell his name, but Mckalay the manager had an amazing personality and was super friendly!
Bocaditos was OK. Came on a Friday evening and the place was quite empty. It felt a bit like a warehouse cause of the tall ceilings and barely any noise. They clearly made a big effort on decorations yet it somehow just doesn’t work. The service was okay but a little strange (the waitress wanted us to order drinks before showing us the dinner menu). Food was OK but the salmon was very dry and overcooked. Probably wouldn’t go back but it wasn’t a terrible experience.
We had a GRaeAT Birthday celebration for one on the guests. The service is outstanding, the food very fresh, the ambiance is welcoming. Sadly they don’t have a full bar but the sangria was delicious. The staff was impeccable and the service first rate.
Fantastic evening !! Food service and drinks everything was amazing
For a bistro, my expectations fell flat. We went for brunch service on a Sunday afternoon and the place was buzzing. While families celebrated birthdays on the mezzanine, gal pals commanded the main floor. The ambiance is well put together and the lay out works to their advantage. But it was the food, we found lackluster. The quality of the ingredients was noticeable but their execution, not memorable at all. Service was attentive and cordial, but one major dining slip is to bring appetizers and minutes later our entrees. With his fork in route to his mouth, my friend was asked if he was still working on his huge avocado toast. Yes, in comic disbelief. All in all, the $155 food bill was acceptable because between us we did have four drinks (3 mimosas, 1 mojito) with our meal, but I can’t help but feel still, “Was that all?” Sigh...
Food is amazing! Service was a bit lax but fine for the occasion. Gratuity was included but I had to ask for the itemized receipt to confirm that. If it wasn’t included I would have tipped more.
LLeve a mis amigas que venian de otros paises y quedamos encantados con todo!
Excelente servicio, nos encantaron los detalles y la comida estuvo deliciosa!
I took my friends who came from other countries and we were delighted with everything!
Excellent service, we loved the details and the food was delicious!
The seafood is not fresh neither is the red meat I ordered pasta and it was mushy over all not impressed.
Loved their Sunday brunch menu! Very good!
Great find. Large comfortable space, decorated but not overdone. Staff was professional but friendly, service was excellent. Our waiter knew the food and the wines and was very helpful. Menu is excellent, some unusual stuff and some standards, all well prepared. The veal chop special was very special, and the seafood pasta my friend ordered was delicious. We drank a very reasonably priced Oregon Pinot noir; the wine list is not extensive but all basic bases are covered. The desserts we tried (red velvet tres leches and a bread pudding) were the perfect ending to a great meal. There are a number of good places to eat in Inwood, both Latinx and not, but Bocaditos is one of the best.
Went to Bocaditos this week for Uptown Restaurant Week. Wanted to try this restaurant and was looking forward to trying it during this time. Unfortunately, and although the restaurant was advertised as being part of the uptown restaurant week, we were told they didn’t have a menu for it and could not honor restaurant week. This false advertisement was very disappointing. Ended up eating the warm seafood salad which was delicious.
Delicious food! Nice ambiance! Perfect place for a brunch with friends! Loved it! I will definitely go again!
Amazing each time we visit is wonderful great food great service great vibe for everyone !
Loved the ambiance in this place was so romantic. The food and service was amazing.
The restaurant was so cute and cozy. The food was delicious and the service was GREAT!!! Would definitely recommend this place
Great service personnel very nice. Will go back again.
I made a reservation for 4:15pm and we got seated at 5:00pm. When we got seated the dinner menu was not available and they gave us the brunch menu, which is weird because their brunch ended at 4:00pm. Then we had to wait until 5:20 for the dinner menu. We ended getting our food by 6:30pm!! The food is mediocre at best. Never coming back to this place again.
Excellent food outstanding service. Love the atmosphere, decor and music
Good food, bad service they took so long to bring it.!
Always a great meal with lovely ambience
We were a party of 8 and the food was spectacular, I would recommend the eggplant croquettes which were amazing. And I would recommend to ask for separate checks before ordering anything that way the waitress or waiter is aware because when it comes time to pay they cannot separate the bill. Also if anyone is going to celebrate their birthday and brings their own cake there is a 2$ charge to cut the cake and to serve everyone a piece of the cake. But overall it was a good experience.
This was a beautiful restaurant inside and out which was what caught my attention. The prices fit the great food. Great customer service. If you are thinking of going, do so!
Terrific waiter / host.
Will be back.
I really enjoyed this place, it was a very chill vibe and the food was amazing. The only downside is that even with a reservation we still had to wait about 30 minutes to be seated. Other than that, I would recommend this place.
Such a cute place! Decor was great and the service. Tasty drinks too. We were a little disappointed in our food but think it was just an off day. My food was dry and eggs were cooked completely through which didn’t help the overall dryness of the huevos rotos dish. Would go back for happy hour!
Love this place but seems better during the week. On the weekends something always goes wrong.
Firstly, bocadito's offered great ambiance and food, our server was kind and super attentive. However, the organization/service at the restaurant could use some improvement. I made a reservation for 1:30 and arrived at the restaurant at 1:35pm (my party arrived together). I was asked to wait by the bar until our table was ready, and expected to be called within 15 minutes of our arrival; 30 minutes later we had not been seated. At no point did any staff member inform us there was a delay or that the wait time had changed; we had to inquire about the hold up in order to receive an update regarding our reservation. I think waiting for 30 minutes when a reservation has been previously scheduled is unacceptable. I believe that at the time our reservation there were numerous private events being hosted and while I understand that the restaurant was busy, it is not okay to forget about the other customers present. Additionally, when we were seated the table was not ready, it had an incorrect number of utensils/table settings and the drinking glass my friend was given had a lipstick mark on it (all solved by the gracious waiter).
Despite the negative experience I would return and give Bocadito's a second opportunity. Hopefully, next time I am there, I wont be left unimpressed by the lack of regard and attention that they had for me or my party.
The food was very good and the place is beautiful
Very good service and one of the waiters have a lot of experience when it comes to the wine list.
I would definitely go back, very pleased.
Very quiet and relaxed atmosphere while my dinner partner and I were there. Never felt rushed or "hovered over" our waitress was there when we needed her and attentive but not pushy or there too much. The outside facade is decorated with silk flowers and very cheerful. The food was very good and nice portions. I would definitely go back.
We were on time for our reservation, checked in with the hostess and she walked us through the empty dining room to a separate “waiting area” full of people. We were a party of two, and they walked us by at least a half-dozen empty two-person setups. She then informed us there was no room in the “waiting area” but we could sit at the bar if we wanted. We sat at the bar and nobody greeted us. There was a guy behind the bar drinking wine and talking to his buddy who was sitting next to us but he didn’t offer us a menu or anything to drink. Eventually he got on a phone call and after a few minutes, another bartender came by and asked us if we wanted drinks. We said please. He left for about 5 minutes, came back, said he was going to get us drink menus, then disappeared again.
We gave up and left. Nobody noticed us leaving or said anything to us. I really don’t know what happened.
Loved the place! The food was great. Can’t lie, I was surprised to find a place like this in the area.
This restaurant is full of cute little details that you will love. The decor is just beautiful and the food was delicious
Beautiful ambiance. Food just okay, took forever to come out and some had to be sent back because it literally was so cold that it felt as if it came out the fridge.
