Nice ambience terrific food and excellent service. Our only issue was we had looked at the lunch menu before deciding to try it for dinner and the entree was more than double in price...
Always a good experience.
Read many good reviews of this place . We came here before a show, this was in the middle of the trip between there and the hotel. Large dining hall and bar area.
Very classy decor, I loved the decorated marlin on the wall! great drink menu. Large wine menu with good pricing, something for everyone!
Several fresh oyster options, our server was great to recommend a couple and knew each one's specific taste and sizes.
My wife had the fish n chips, and I had the mahi. Both were amazing. I gave my wife a hard time about coming to such a nice place and getting fish and chips, but can't argue when you're in the mood for them, the portion was large on the fish, which I was surprised about! The mahi mahi was cooked to perfection. Served with a veg medley, I was very pleased with dinner overall! Would definitely come back and especially if there was a game on, what a fun bar side!
We came early to check out happy hour which was pretty good, had some good prices for beer and apps. Then we had our dinner, my wife's Tuna was very delicious and cooked perfectly and my Steak was ok not really seasoned well and not medium rare as asked more like medium. Overall this place has great seafood, I would recommend it for that.
Exceptional service. The atmosphere was very friendly and the food was prepared in a timely manner. I arrived nearly an hour early for my reservation and they still found a way to seat my fiancé and I. Incredible customer service.
We often eat at Blueacre, as well as its sister restaurant, Steelhead Diner. There is a great variety of seafood and the preparations are delicious. I have never had a bad meal here. Dependably delicious!
Blue acres always delivers for us. Good food and service. Doesn’t hurt the comp parking.
at 4 p.m. there were only two other diners in the place. So very quiet. Don't order the seafood platter. Not that great for the price and there are better items on the menu.
Not our first visit, but made a last minute NYE reservation as our other plans fell thru with illness. Got a nice table with very young but very solid servers. We ordered a nice bottle of champagne and had great martinis and apps. That said, the lobster is always my favorite here and NYE was no exception. My better half had the salmon and we had absolutely nothing negative to say. Great experience and will be back.
Good place, good food, great selections, warm, welcoming waitstaff, and my last visit was on New Year's Eve! Dinner was delicious and the waitstaff made us feel so welcome. A winner!
As always service was outstanding ! Our meals we just slightly underwhelming.
Food is good but the service is terrible. It does not worth 20%.
Poor and dispassionate bar service. Food was serviceable. Overpriced for the quality.
Blue acre accommodated us on a Saturday night, when many other places of the same caliber were booked.
We made reservations last minute before we went to a show at the Paramount. The food was very good and our server was amazing. She was attentive to every detail and very efficient since she knew we needed to get to the show in an hour. They also handled my son's food allergy with ease. We would definitely go back.
Very, very good seafood. We have lived around Puget Sound for all our lives and have eaten our own fresh catch as well as restaurant fare. The seafood at Blue Acre is of the highest quality and is carefully prepared. The room is large, but the seating is broken up pretty well so it doesn't feel cavernous. Our server was a pro who knows the ingredients and the preparations for each dish. The king crab was the best ever from a restaurant. The kazu cod was excellent. You will pay for this kind of quality, but it is definitely worth it. The menu offers plenty of selections, there are choices for meat lovers as well, but it is the seafood that shines.
Amazing! Whenever we come to Seattle to visit family, we make a point of going to Blue Acre Seafood.
Meh...My family of 6 went here for Christmas Eve, choosing an elegant meal over “Jewish Christmas” (Chinese food and maybe a movie.) I cannot say that we will reserve here again. The food was pretty good, but the service, ambience and overall presentation did not match with the high price point. A particular disappointment was the kids menu. My 9 year old picky eater has her choice of only three boring meals, and she was disappointed with her grilled cheese (crusty bread, thin slice of cheese, and unremarkable fries.) My adventurous 13 year old chose her favorite (Scallops), only to be annoyed when the heavy sauce overwhelmed the delicate scallops. The waiter was friendly but forgot to bring more bread, despite a specific request, and did not check back with us during the course of our meal. Sorry Blueacre, next time we aim for something special you wo t quite make the cut.
It was just fine
The food here is amazing. I have been here 2x this past year and both times were 5 star meals. This year we went Christmas Eve and loved it. Everything from appetizers to entrees to desserts were top notch. Our party of 5 ordered salmon, black cod, chicken, 2 orders of delicious brussel sprouts and an egg nog cheesecake.
Make sure you are with Winnie! She was the best!!
I took my adult children here, before the theater, it was part of their Christmas. The service was excellent. The food was ok. Which for the price, I expected outstanding. Of the four dinners, only one of them was great, one was good, and the other two were poor. The Ahi tuna was flavorless. Ahi is a beautiful fish, but it needs seasoning. On the other end of the spectrum, my scallops were drowned in an olive/caper/tomato mix that was way too overbearing for such a delicate shellfish, it could have been anything under that sauce. My son's dish of black cod was good, not dry, well seasoned and prepared. My daughter's salmon was perfectly prepared and excellent. The side dish of roasted vegies was good, but lacked seasoning. The giant hash browns were soaked in oil, and overdone to the point we needed a steak knife to cut them.
The food and service were very good but did not like receiving a notice from Open Table for not showing up for my reservation since I was obviously there. It might have some thing to do with reception not doing a good job.
Want fresh, perfectly prepared seafood with great service and a nice ambience? We had a great meal of super fresh oysters, pickled herring (the best ever), swordfish and chocolate pecan pie. We hadn’t been to Blu Acre for awhile so wandered over after an early movie for a really great dinner and easily got a table.
We are really picky about seafood so were impressed with how fresh everything was. Pickled herring isn’t for everyone but this was the most tender and least briny I can remember having anywhere. The swordfish was tender and firm just as it should be, accompanied by a simple butter sauce and broccolini. Their chocolate pecan pie is a favorite because it’s not overly sweet as it is most ther places. Great service to boot. Well remember to come back often!!
Annual Christmas dinner with family.
Service was a little slow at the start but in the end was excellent. The food was excellent. They provided salmon and swordfish that was cooked about as good as I have ever experienced. Highly suggest this place for seafood!
We went here because all of the other restaurants downtown were busy before shows. What a great place! Oyster bar, awesome scallops and a great wine selection. Excellent all around. Also very quick.
This is our favorite restaurant before attending the theater.
Great good, great service, a very drinkable selection of wine - always enjoyable.
There was a holiday party in the upper section close to our table this time, which was very loud and made it hard to talk, but otherwise everything was perfect.
We will be back!
Great food and atmosphere. I took a few clients here for dinner and we had a great experience.
We had a party of 4 to celebrate a birthday. The birthday boy ordered the whole lobster and it was perfect! The salmon was wonderful too. The red sauce served with the scallops is not a pleasant combination, however, the individual scallops were cooked perfectly. The dessert menu could be better, nothing appealing enough to splurge on.
Excellent food, excellent service. Loved the cioppino. The only negative was one side of the table was too close to the wall/post. The diner's on that side of the table could not adjust their chairs, and had to sit uncomfortably close to the table. Otherwise, it was a very enjoyable meal. We'll eat here again.
We were extremely pleased with the food and service. Quite noisy but not so loud that it affected our experience. Probably not much that can be done about that. The energy was good, which does go along with the noise. We're going to be back next week for sure!
I have never had shrimp scampi that came without pasta, and at a premium price. The shrimp were rubbery to boot.
Nice atmosphere for a date night (especially the booths), and food was very tasty and well-presented. Cocktails were excellent (I'd say 3.5/5 stars because I'm super picky about cocktails). Everything is a little pricey for what you receive, and 18% is included on bill (even for party of two), but not bad overall.
Recommend the geoduck poke and crab tots. Oyster selection and price point are good, but not noteworthy in terms of Seattle restaurants. Still, would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Started off with Dungeness crab stuffed mushrooms, crab and shrimp tater tots, and 2 Verspers. Wonderful! Best crab stuffed mushrooms that we have ever had. A cup of Gumbo for the 2nd course. It was dark, rich and flavorful. Main courses were seared tuna and fresh King salmon. Nicely seasoned and perfectly cooked. Accompanied by a bottle of New Zealand Spy Valley Sauvignon Blanc. Nice grapefruit and melon flavors and aromas. Wrapped up the evening with sticky toffee pudding and pecan pie. The level of service was just right.
Awesome as always. Never been disappointed by a meal or experience here and will keep coming back. Crab stuffed mushroom caps were out of this world and cioppino absolutely perfect, especially on a cold Seattle night.
Good was amazing and so was the staff.
Fantastic Seafood 🦀🦐
I had the baked cabarian oysters to start - just the right amount of heat and Pernod. For entree I had the King Salmon - it was exceptional - nice brown crispness on outside and succulent inside!
Amazing place to take someone out too , also very diverse in seafood cosine
The new weekend brunch menu is terrific. I had an egg scramble cooked the way I like my eggs, and my hubby had salmon. Both dishes prepared to our specifications. Great ambience and service. Not a chain or hotel restaurant, locally owned by a chef that insists on fresh ingredients. Super staff too.
