Wonderful food, will not disappoint!
We had visited once before with friends while staying downtown and accidently booked ourselves not remembering till we walked over there. Very pleased we went inside for a couple drinks, oysters and appetizers. Was very pleased with all the food, especially the potato skins on the Happy Hour menu! Excellent all the way around!
I went to to Blueacre for San Valentines.
Overall the experience was ok. The service was kind of slow, not bad but nothing special either.
We ordered an appetizer (crab cake), 2 main entrees (2lb lobster and the katsu Black code and 2 desserts. The entrees and desserts were good, the appetizer was not great.
I would not go back to this restaurant given that the overall experience was just ok. But it’s not a bad place.
This is our second time at Blueacre. It's a very attractive restaurant and the food is excellent. Tonight we had the amazing black cod (which is not cod at all) and the sea scallops. The scallops were perfectly seared. Ask for the sauce on the side...it's delicious, but covers the milder taste of the scallops. (Have it with the potatoes.) The collard greens were the best I've ever had... and I'm from the south. The Sidecar, Prosecco, and even the decaf coffee were all great. And don't miss the bourbon chantilly, cacao nib caramel chocolate pecan pie! Best of all was Tia, who served our dinner, but who was also so friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and efficient. She really helped make our entire dinner very relaxing and enjoyable. We will definitely go back again when we're in Seattle.
BlueAcre accommodated our large group with no problem.. Accommodated a friend what significant allergy issues. Great service and the food was really good. Will be back.
I may have gotten food poisining there
Food was only mediocre. Asked for size of various oysters (whether small or large). Waiter actually didn't know-- what he said were large oysters turned out to be smaller oysters, and vice-versa. When I asked for my oysters to be changed, he mumbled something about having to throw them away, so I just took them-- bummer. My Cioppino had a really hot pepper in it-- burned my mouth.
The food is interesting and high quality. Service is excellent.
Great place for a good business lunch. Mahi mahi was delicious, apple tart perhaps best I’ve ever had and the service was great. 5 star
Worst meal I’ve had in a long long time. The food was disgusting. They brought my entree before I’d even half finished with my appetizer. An embarrassment to have taken my client there for an important dinner meeting.
Excellent fresh oysters. Teresa salad easily enough for two people and tasted great. Fish and chips were awesome and portion was large. Shrimp scampi was good, Huge shrimp and portion very generous.
Ordered a $55 Pacific coast line caught salmon. Whatever you do, please don't overcook it. Waiter got it. Sure enough, it was overcooked. Might has well go to Red Lobster. Very dissapointed.
Had to wait 20 minutes for reserved table.
Request Justice as your waiter. Lots of fun and excellent service!
Creative menu that is delicious. Good value for lunch
Delightful flavors and presentation, just very pricey vs alternatives in Seattle for equivalent oysters also, do NOT order the chowder! Bland, too much potato vs clam as well
If you are a seafood lover and are visiting Seattle, this is a real gem. Some of the freshest fish I have ever had. Great wait staff. Ask for Dav. Bruce Sturgeon is the GM and runs a fantastic ship. On a recent visit was going to order the mahi mahi which I had before but Dav suggested the sushi grade Ahi Tuna. Huge portion with real wasabi and not the pasty green stuff. My wife had a japanese presentation of black cod which was to die for. Great NW wine list and a surprising number of reds for a seafood venue. The razor clam app needs more clams and less potato. Next time I will take the Gumbo reccomendation. Had the Madwell salad to start and it was one of the best greek style salads. The chocolate pecan pie is to die for and one is enough to share.
As always, excellent! My “go-to” every first night in Seattle
We had a lovely birthday brunch with out of town family. As always The food was wonderful, fresh, beautifully prepared and the services was efficient and friendly. We love all of the Davis team restaurants. Always consistently wonderful.
My husband and I were able to get out for a date night. The food was amazing and our server, Chris, was great. The food was cooked perfectly and everything tasted wonderful.
Excellent food and service
The experience is always exceptional. We have a friend Keith Sawallich who especially prefers your ahi tuna dish above all others. It's worth it to witness that. Our orders were very good too. The black cod was up to our standards and beyond.
Nice ambience terrific food and excellent service. Our only issue was we had looked at the lunch menu before deciding to try it for dinner and the entree was more than double in price...
Always a good experience.
Read many good reviews of this place . We came here before a show, this was in the middle of the trip between there and the hotel. Large dining hall and bar area.
Very classy decor, I loved the decorated marlin on the wall! great drink menu. Large wine menu with good pricing, something for everyone!
Several fresh oyster options, our server was great to recommend a couple and knew each one's specific taste and sizes.
My wife had the fish n chips, and I had the mahi. Both were amazing. I gave my wife a hard time about coming to such a nice place and getting fish and chips, but can't argue when you're in the mood for them, the portion was large on the fish, which I was surprised about! The mahi mahi was cooked to perfection. Served with a veg medley, I was very pleased with dinner overall! Would definitely come back and especially if there was a game on, what a fun bar side!
We came early to check out happy hour which was pretty good, had some good prices for beer and apps. Then we had our dinner, my wife's Tuna was very delicious and cooked perfectly and my Steak was ok not really seasoned well and not medium rare as asked more like medium. Overall this place has great seafood, I would recommend it for that.
Exceptional service. The atmosphere was very friendly and the food was prepared in a timely manner. I arrived nearly an hour early for my reservation and they still found a way to seat my fiancé and I. Incredible customer service.
We often eat at Blueacre, as well as its sister restaurant, Steelhead Diner. There is a great variety of seafood and the preparations are delicious. I have never had a bad meal here. Dependably delicious!
Blue acres always delivers for us. Good food and service. Doesn’t hurt the comp parking.
at 4 p.m. there were only two other diners in the place. So very quiet. Don't order the seafood platter. Not that great for the price and there are better items on the menu.
Not our first visit, but made a last minute NYE reservation as our other plans fell thru with illness. Got a nice table with very young but very solid servers. We ordered a nice bottle of champagne and had great martinis and apps. That said, the lobster is always my favorite here and NYE was no exception. My better half had the salmon and we had absolutely nothing negative to say. Great experience and will be back.
Good place, good food, great selections, warm, welcoming waitstaff, and my last visit was on New Year's Eve! Dinner was delicious and the waitstaff made us feel so welcome. A winner!
As always service was outstanding ! Our meals we just slightly underwhelming.
Food is good but the service is terrible. It does not worth 20%.
Poor and dispassionate bar service. Food was serviceable. Overpriced for the quality.
Blue acre accommodated us on a Saturday night, when many other places of the same caliber were booked.
We made reservations last minute before we went to a show at the Paramount. The food was very good and our server was amazing. She was attentive to every detail and very efficient since she knew we needed to get to the show in an hour. They also handled my son's food allergy with ease. We would definitely go back.
Very, very good seafood. We have lived around Puget Sound for all our lives and have eaten our own fresh catch as well as restaurant fare. The seafood at Blue Acre is of the highest quality and is carefully prepared. The room is large, but the seating is broken up pretty well so it doesn't feel cavernous. Our server was a pro who knows the ingredients and the preparations for each dish. The king crab was the best ever from a restaurant. The kazu cod was excellent. You will pay for this kind of quality, but it is definitely worth it. The menu offers plenty of selections, there are choices for meat lovers as well, but it is the seafood that shines.
Amazing! Whenever we come to Seattle to visit family, we make a point of going to Blue Acre Seafood.
Meh...My family of 6 went here for Christmas Eve, choosing an elegant meal over “Jewish Christmas” (Chinese food and maybe a movie.) I cannot say that we will reserve here again. The food was pretty good, but the service, ambience and overall presentation did not match with the high price point. A particular disappointment was the kids menu. My 9 year old picky eater has her choice of only three boring meals, and she was disappointed with her grilled cheese (crusty bread, thin slice of cheese, and unremarkable fries.) My adventurous 13 year old chose her favorite (Scallops), only to be annoyed when the heavy sauce overwhelmed the delicate scallops. The waiter was friendly but forgot to bring more bread, despite a specific request, and did not check back with us during the course of our meal. Sorry Blueacre, next time we aim for something special you wo t quite make the cut.
