We’re more than oysters - we’re Colorado's best seafood restaurant! Opened 2017, this is Blue Island Oyster Bar & Seafood's flagship location. Our approach is to create honest food and drinks and serve them in a comfortable, casual environment. The restaurant’s culture is inspired by memories of growing up in coastal towns with families of oyster farmers and fishermen. What a great dining experience…Isabel, the very best hostess in Cherry Creek, is amazing. Her brilliant smile and welcoming personality, sets the tone, the minute you walk into the restaurant. They have the best oysters, crisp, cold, we have ordered dozens and never had a single one that was…off. An amazing menu with lots of options for a group. Highly recommend Blue Island…

We love this restaurant. We have been here many times. This time I was just a little disappointed though. Two people with me ordered oysters and some sides. I ordered a salad and chowder. The oysters came and I watched them being eaten without being asked if I would like either the soup perm the salad served at the same time. They were quite busy so it was difficult to catch my server to ask for the salad. I think i should have been asked if I wanted either the soup or the salad brought out with the oysters when our orders were placed.

Another great time at this restaurant! Lots of people but not that difficult to visit at out table of three. The food was tasty and fun. Our server, Brian, was excellent! Definitely will continue going back. Biggest challenge is parking. But not big enough to stop me!!

Our server, Shoshone, had the personality of a rock. I'm not sure if it was because we ordered from the Restaurant Week menu or not, but we also felt very rushed. We even took our dessert to go.

Denver restaurant week. One of our party had the special and was disappointed in the flavor of the dishes. The rest of the party had fish and chips which was outstanding. The crust on the chips was perfectly crispy and complimented the fish. The sauces were homemade and the coleslaw crisp and sassy. The service was attentive and friendly. I will definitely return here.

The oysters were very fresh! It was restaurant week and the 3 course meal was good. They could have given some sour cream, butter and chives with the baked/ fried potatoes. The potatoes were bland and uneventful. Desert was good but the olive cake slice was a sliver…. Not enough….. but it was all good. I will return… just in a regular night… and see if it any better when ordering not on a set course menu.

Love this place! Food is great, happy hour prices are super! I do wish they would mark menu items with allergens so we could make easier choices: gluten, dairy, etc. Also note where the option exists to make something G/D/Egg-Free that is not already. I know the menu now so have worked around it, but newcomers might appreciate. All in all, wonderful!

Fantastic food and drink. We were there for Denver Restaurant Week and we can’t wait to go back. Trout dip was phenomenal. Surf and turf was delicious. So many oyster varieties- I stuck to their own brand that they fly in fresh every morning. Can’t wait to take out of town guests.

We visited during restaurant week. Best clam chowder ever and the calamari was so delicious. We both has filet mignon w shrimp, asparagus and crispy potatoes. Everything was perfectly cooked and tasted wonderful. Key lime pie was the best dessert, definitely a keeper. The staff from hostess to server, was friendly and helpful. Even though the noise level was high, we will definitly go back and just sit outside.

Came for restaurant week. I lot of places offer a lackluster menu that doesn't really provide any value, has up-charges if you order the good stuff, or doesn't really showcase the menu effectively. BIOB knocked all 3 out of the park. Service was great - Chaz was there when we needed him and had good recommendations. Food was VERY good. The clam chowder is bomb (I'm from Boston btw), the surf n turf entree on the restaurant week menu is an incredible value, and the drinks and wine were on point too. Worth the trip down to Cherry Creek for sure.

Dessert and app were great! Calamari sauce was so yummy with a little kick to it! Overall entrees were good but not great. Bass didn’t have much flavor but risotto was yummy. My boyfriend’s steak was a little undercooked but the shrimp and potatoes were good.

First time to this restaurant and we had a great experience! The clam chowder served with clam fritters was so delicious. We tried the fried clams and crab cakes and enjoyed them as well. The fried clams were tender and tasty. Loved the food, service and ambiance. Staff was very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The hostess, Isabelle, went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and happy. I thought Isabelle must be part owner since she cared so much about the restaurant experience. I asked her and found out she’s just an amazing employee and person.

LOVED, LOVED, LOVED our 1st experience at Blue Island!! Seafood was better than anything we have had when visiting the east coast, by far!!! Wonderful menu and wonderful service! Only drawback was the ambient noise. The place was a bit on the loud side. Not a deterrent, though. We will definitely be back!

Brian was great! Very helpful, courteous, and accommodating. Even after sending our drinks back 3 times, he wasn’t annoyed or rude, but got us what we wanted without any hassles. The oysters were DELICIOUS, and reminded of us of dinner in Greenwich Village, where they were fresh from the Atlantic! We can’t wait to come back again!

Wanted to go for the 99 cent oyster Monday. All was good, just busy. Waitress forgot hot sauce and crackers after asking if we wanted them. No biggie. Some bread served with oysters would be nice or while waiting a long time for oysters.

I am from the Gulf Coast of Florida, and I was raised eating Appalachacola and Galveston Bay oysters I never thought I would find an oyster that would compare. However, your establishment provides many equal and tasty, very tasty oysters.
