Blue Elk Vineyard, just outside the quaint town of North East, MD is on the shore of the Elk River. The tasting room is cozy and rustic, built in the renovated stables of our original 1930s horse barn! Your own personal stall to enjoy our wines makes for a private experience. If weather allows, outdoor seating on the lawn overlooks the 140 acres of our estate and is pet friendly as well!
We offer wines by the flight, glass, and bottle. Patriot, our Bordeaux-style blend, is sure to impress. Blushing Elk Rose' is unique to our tasting room, made from ripe Chambourcin grapes, fruity and spicy. Our whites range from an Oaked 2017 Chardonnay to our Velvet, a Muscat Valvin/Riesling blend. Not a wine lover? We have a crisp craft hard cider on tap.
Our kitchen makes delicious winery fare daily. Our menu is sure to please with flatbreads, dips and curated charcuterie boards! Check our socials for the weekend specials, current Sangria and Mimosas!

Blue Elk Vineyard is a beautiful property overlooking the Elk River. We tried numerous wines...Sangria and Mimosas... all were very good. Loved the Fig and Goat Cheese Flatbread the desserts were good as well. The tasting room is very unique as they turned the Horse stalls into sitting areas. Looking forward to my next visit.

Good wine, great flatbreads and charcuterie boards and a really nice venue! Might be a little off the beaten path, but definitely worth the drive. Check it out, you will not be disappointed.

When I reserved I assumed I was getting the stable which was the ambiance of the winery. But we were seated outside in the heat. The staff was very kind. The view of the river was not accessible as there was a wedding and you couldn’t go in that area. I drove 1.5 hours for this experience.

This is such a beautiful winery venue. You basically have your own private space as all the tables are in converted horse stalls in a beautifully restored horse barn. Very creative and comfortable. The wine is spectacular and while the food offerings are limited, they are delicious. There were three of us and we each ordered different flatbreads and shared them. They were ALL fantastic! Seasonal sangrias and mimosas were also YUM! We took our 2-yr-old granddaughter with us as well and she was totally welcome. A great place for her to hang out with us as she had plenty of space to walk around in our “stall” and we didn’t have to worry about her bothering other people. Overall a great night. We will definitely go again.

I love coming to Blue Elk! I got married here 3 years ago and have continued coming since Blue Elk opened! Such a fun place to gather with friends, do the events, and enjoy good food and wine! Love supporting local. Came one time with a couple of friends and our moms. We sat outside and ordered one of everything on the menu and hung out all day and listened to live music. Such a fun day!

Our experience at Blue Elk was fantastic. My friend and I have been to many vineyards and this was one of our best experiences both thee wines and a beautiful venue. Our suggestion is to come and try this hidden jewel.

I made a reservation because we were coming from out of state and I wanted to make sure we got a table. The estate is beautiful, right on the river, very picturesque. The tasting room looked to be an old stable redone very nicely. We sat outside and we had great views whichever way we looked. The wine was good, I did a white flight to see what they had to offer and the rest of my party got the sangria. We also got food. The fig and goat cheese flatbread was delicious. It was nice, relaxing, and quiet but in a good way. It was nice not to hear other’s conversations. I would definitely love to come back someday.

This was a small family get together with the pup and it was the perfect place to chill with a nice spread of yummy food and very nice wine. The staff was warm and attentive. You can't beat the water view.

We have visited Blue Elk on many occasions and enjoy it every time we visit. However, this visit the noise was very uncomfortable from one group that was being extremely loud in a small space. We had to almost yell to hear each other and we were only about 6 feet apart. The food was great and the service was excellent

Great service, delicious food and wine, lovely atmosphere. We were taken back a bit at the prices for the wine flights. Where we live, a wine flight varies $10-15. And you get to keep the glass. Still, that won't keep us from coming back.

Service, food and wine were great. Love the tasting room theme and decor. We had the Red and White flights and all were outstanding. We also tried the various flatbreads and enjoyed all of them. The special was a crab pretzel which was great as well. They knocked it out of the park.

Immaculate facility with beautifully restored barns. Lovely views of rolling fields and the Elk River. Perfect for a chilly day tasting delicious wines in your private horse stall or out on the grounds on a sunny day. Cecil County treasure.
