Second time we attempted to dine. First time, Open Table reservation was cancelled by the restaurant. Supposedly closed for Winter Break of some sort. Made reservation again, this time for January 28. Received confirmation. Received reminder day before to confirm we are coming. Went at appointed time. Restaurant was locked and closed. No notice or explanation. Not sure if this restaurant is permanently closed?

I made reservations from their website and Open Table for my birthday on January 24th. I received several confirmation emails and texts. We drove the 40 minutes to get there only to discover no lights on and the place locked. There was no sign explaining what had happened nor was the phone updated. You couldn’t even leave a message. Nothing was updated on their website. We watched several other couples arrive and leave disappointed as well. This isn’t a McDonald’s! It’s somewhere people go to celebrate special occasions. Failure to communicate ruined those special occasions for several people that night. I’m still trying to find out what happened!

My wife and I had a wonderful meal New Year’s Eve. This was our first time dining here and we will definitely be going back. The food was excellent from the starters to the dessert. The service was a little lacking. I think she maybe lacked experience more than anything but she was very polite and was great when she came around to check on us. I am looking forward to trying new items on the menu.

Waited almost 90 minutes for our food, even though the couple next to us got their meals wellll before us even tho they ordered the same dishes and sat later than us. There was a clear lack of communication between the staff. Food was lukewarm and my duck was served well instead of the medium I requested. Nothing was worth the cost.

This is not a cheap spot, entrees start in the $30s and go to the $60s. Food was good. Ambience is cold. It needs warmth in both senses, feel and temperature. Every time anyone came in through the doors, those sitting at tables got a rush of cold air. Tables are too close to one another allowing you to hear conversations next to you much too clearly. Although none of this was a deal breaker. Service was the issue for us. Started out promising, ended in disappointment. Each waiter seemed to be assigned to different tables in different areas rather than assigning a waiter to a specific area covering those tables. Because of that, a missing waiter meant the waiter of the table next to you would ignore you. Waiters were running all over the restaurant wasting time walking around rather than allowing them to watch over an area taking better care focusing on all their customers. They also decided to have a holiday group but didn’t staff to be able to take care of the rest of us once they arrived. Experience overshadows the good. Waiting 20 minutes to get a waiter to take plates, refill drinks or take a dessert order is one thing but a dessert already made ahead of time taking another 22 minutes to show up and then blaming the holiday group for their troubles is not right. Poor planning on their part shouldn’t be my responsibility to absorb and be understanding to. There wasn’t any kind of offer to try and make up for the lack of service; unprofessional. If Chad wants to build support, he needs to deliver and ensure all cylinders fire together.

It was my first time being there, they treated us so well. The environment there reminded me of just like ratatouille! Food was decently fast, the prices are a bit high, but the food is tremendous. Overall it’s worth the money spent. Me and my girlfriend went for our anniversary and we won’t forget it.

We had a lunch reservation at 1 o’clock, and when we got there, we were only one of two tables that were seated. The server was prompted getting our orders and explained the specials of the day. The food was great, service was prompt, great ambience, and we’d love to come back for dinner sometime. More people should know about this place!

Absolutely excited to have such an amazing French Restaurant again. The food is absolutely amazing and authentic, the staff and owner are very personable, not to mention the ambiance of the place. Loved every minute and felt like I had found my home again. If you are looking for French then you have found the place to enjoy great food and people.

I loved the soup of the day which was a potato leek soup and my husbands meal was great (Porc Bon Femme), all the flavors paired well. Unfortunately my main course was disappointing. I got the Filet de Boeuf and it was a little over cooked (I asked for medium rare) and the meat tasted really dry and crumbly. I expected it to be better for how much it cost $54. Our waiter was quite busy so I didn’t have a chance to till him that I was disappointed since by the time he came around again he asked if we wanted the check. We ended up getting dessert, créame brûlée and a raspberry tart which was ok.

Save your money! We were so excited to have a French place nearby as my husband is French. This food is NOT French. The butter, the basis of all their sauces, is tasteless. Seasonings are practically non-existent and no salt or pepper on the table to allow you, the diner, to fix that. Not a single French wine on the wine list. The pomme lyonnaise showed up burnt on my plate. The replacement showed up after we had finished eating and not a $1 credited off our meal. The duck was fatty and bland. The trout was swimming in oil-like sauce (caused by the awful butter) and also very bland. The prices are high for the ambiance and the food you are served.

We chose out door seating when reserving, but when we arrived the tables were located on center street facing south and at 5 pm were in full sun. They had no problem adjusting the reservation for an indoor table near the window. Had our reservation been 6 pm the adorable café tables outdoors would have been perfect. Next time! Based on our experience tonight there will definitely be a next time. The server brought bread and herb butter to start. We skipped the appetizers which included incredible seafood options and started our meals with French onion soup and the soup du jour which was a creamy red pepper with a touch of saffron. Both were absolutely delicious. My husband order the Prime rib medium rare and I had garlic mussels with frittes. The prime rid was a perfect medium rare and so tender. Served over mash potatoes, and a jus. My husband said it was the best he'd ever had. Believe me we've had enough to know good quality prime rib. The mussels accompanied with the garlic broth were delicious. I also loved putting the crispy Fry’s in the juice. I highly recommend this restaurant for a special occasion or just a Friday night if your a foodie like me. #bistroprovenance

Exceptional, authentic, carefully resourced. True bistro cuisine, with occasional touches of flare. Seafood was fresh and well-prepared. Moules frites was so good passersby stopped to comment, took a nearby table, and indulged with us. Bistros are simple, casual affairs and this one hits that zone exactly. Trout, steak frites, roast chicken, seafood towers, duck confit are the stars. We didn't have the onion smothered hamburger but its our near-term mission Drink menu varied and creative. Rivals any restaurant Utah offers. Worth a drive down from SLC or a stop while touring the National Parks.
