   Service wasn’t as good as the last time we visited. Kept needing to ask for rather than be offered and struggled to get staffs attention on occasion but had we not had such amazing service previously I probably wouldn’t have noticed. Food was excellent as always.

   Really enjoyed coming here for a meal before seeing Alan Partridge. We didn’t book and despite looking really busy the manager sorted us a table with no issue. Staff were really friendly and looked busy but nice. I had the sticky duck - spicy by the way but oh so tasty. We will definitely be back but will probably book as it’s popular for good reason.

   I booked Bill's for a group visit to Cardiff and being able to see the gluten free options easily on the website made a huge difference to our decision to eat there. We were also able to book for brunch, which a lot of restaurants don't offer, and which fitted with our plans for the rest of the day. Food was tasty and there was lots of choice. Our waiter was helpful and attentive, and all other staff were friendly and keen to help. We had a great time and will definitely return in future.

   I enjoyed my experience at this restaurant. The table we were placed on was a bit cramped and very close to a large party next to us. But the service was great and food was excellent. The best calamari i’ve ever had in my whole life.

    Very limited choice of food which was disappointing. Asked for runny eggs but they were set. We asked for 2 side plates for the starter but they were not brought to the table. Always happy to pay 10% service charge but I would rather it not be automatically added to the bill. Cocktail was served in a champagne flute but only half full. Despite above I still enjoyed the overall experience.

    My friend and I received our food and had to wait 10 minutes for the waiter to come tell our third friend that her food was coming. Half an hour later her food had still not arrived. The staff did not apologize for the inconvenience or seem willing to speak to us or help us at all.

    It was very busy at the time, but service was slow and server kept forgetting our drinks order. When our breakfast was eventually served, I had half my friend's dish on my plate and an extra item was charged on our bill which we didn't order. It was quite shocking and not something I expected from Bill's as I've previously been here before and the service was better back then! Need to have less tables so that you can meet the demand of the customers more effectively! In the end we refused to pay the service charge.

    Went here for our sons birthday , nice atmosphere, friendly waiting staff starters (padron peppers Halloumi) were great probably enjoyed more than our main (roast chicken … unfortunately very dry .. wine was a bit pricey at £38 for NZ Sauvignon

    Excellent meal in very pleasant surroundings. A friend was travelling from London to meet me in Cardiff - we chose Bill's following a pleasant breakfast I'd had there. The quality of food was outstanding, lovely atmosphere, great service - I would recommend

    We love Bills but on this occasion were really let down. We booked for 1230pm as we had tickets for a show at 2pm. Order taken quickly and drinks arrived soon after. However, we were still waiting for our food at 130pm so had to leave. We wouldn’t have had time to eat and get to the theatre on time even if the food had arrived then. We were also aware that people who had arrived before us were also asking where their meals were. Staff were understanding and didn’t ask for payment for drinks. It was half term and busy, but not an excuse when they know it will be busy and it wasn’t even full.

    Service was good. Food wasnt great. Buttermilk chicken burger was quite burnt and very greasy. Coleslaw just tasted of vinegar. Kids fish fingers were overcooked too

    We have enjoyed Bills for a long time. Unfortunately we will not be visiting again. Food was cold and arrived without drinks, which we had to chase from staff, when we found one! We were in and out within 35 minutes. Such a shame.

    We ordered mains and desserts. Unfortunately we didn’t receive our side of broccoli until we finished our food (and we had to ask). The chocolate sauce on the donuts was burnt and we had get up and ask for a replacement. Service was slow and not attentive. Service charge of 12.5% is a little high for a this restaurants service.
