   Our first time dining at Bill's and we absolutely loved it. The food was amazing, service was great too! Very friendly staff and always happy to help. Our only complaint would be we asked for ice cream on its own as it wasn't on the menu, which they sorted very kindly for us, they charged us £5.50 for 2 scoops in a dish! But I would definitely recommend a visit to Bill's, we will 110% be returning!!

   A favourite of ours for Bunch on a Sunny Weekend, two major aspects, the ability to sit out doors in privacy and the fact we can bring our dog with us too. On this occasion we also brought friends with us to enjoy. Staff are always very friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much to ask. Food is very well prepared and delicious.

   It took 50 mins for food, no apology and they brought the bill and didn’t come back for me to pay - which is incredibly annoying, went for a quick dinner and ended up there for 2 hrs.

   We had a good time. We had asked for a table of 16 as we were celebrating our graduation. We were told that was not possible but while eating there appeared to be many empty tables and a section that would have sat us all. However we booked separate tables and all got in. Our food was nice and brought out promptly. We had a bit of a wait for our first drinks which arrived after the starter. Our waitress was lovely and we enjoyed chatting with her. Unfortunately we did not catch her name but she had her hair in double French braids on the night.

    Nice food. Good service. Only downside... we were sat outside and write on the edge next to stacked chairs and cardboard rubbish. Took away from the nice surroundings.

    Lovely informal Dinner with wide range of choices on the menu. Our pudding was delayed but the staff could not have been more apologetic and offered complimentary tea and coffee. A lovely evening

    Toilets were filthy snd unusable. Generally the restaurant didn’t look clean. Looks very run down . Our meal order was mixed up and we waited a long time for meal to arrive. The menu seems to not have as many vegetarian options. No hallumi burger. No chocolate brownie on dessert menu. Very disappointing . I’ve always had a positive experience of Bills but the Cardiff Bay restaurant I won’t return to

    If you want to relax this is not the place for you. Went early evening on a Saturday and it was very busy which is to be expected but the staff seemed to be running round like headless chickens. Rushing about and zooming past tables, too many tables packed in. It just felt rushed and a little unsettling. However the staff were lovely and the young man that served us was very pleasant and polite. The food was beautiful, truffled chicken two ways both cooked to perfection. The small portion of mash was okay but nothing special and the gravy was quite nice, thick and rich. The slice of lemon was out of place and unnecessary and the mound of watercress to try to bulk the plate up was an annoyance. Vegetables would have been much more appreciated and made for a more filling meal as the plate was small and you needed a pudding. Not much choice of nice puddings but the doughnuts were delicious and the Erin colada was nice too. The pineapple was a bit sharp and overpowering and it needed more coconut but not bad. Overall lovely staff and good food, take away a few tables, get the staff to calm down a bit, slow the pace and stop trying fannying about with silly additions on the plate and fill it with the good food, then this would be perfection.

    We had an excellent meal here on the 9th April. Food was delicious, service excellent and extremely friendly staff who also welcomed our dog in such a lovely way offering water and a treat for him. We will definately be back. Thank you.

    Excellent service it was my mothers birthday and they put a candle in the dessert which was a nice touch. We are off the set menu which was great value and deliciously tasty and the staff were very hard working and tentative

    Very nice meal and atmosphere. The only criticism would be the length of time we had to wait for food. We had booked the table for 5:30pm as we had to be in the theatre in time for a 7:30pm start. Our main course did not arrive for at least an hour and by that time we had to order sweet before the main course was finished.

    I visit Bills regularly usually for breakfast meetings. On this occasion I ordered scrambled eggs and smoked salmon. I asked for the eggs cooked through and they arrived almost hard boiled but the main issue was the salmon which was very poor quality. It was very pungent and slimy. I left 3/4 of it and had to move it on to another table after finishing because the smell was beginning to turn my stomach. The Waitress came over and asked if ours meals were okay I told her about the salmon and she was apologetic and offered to get me something else. Honestly the salmon turned my stomach to the point I didn’t feel like eating anything else. She must’ve gone off shift as I didn’t see her again. I feel annoyed with myself that I didn’t mention it again and paid full price for something so substandard but I was there in a work capacity and didn’t want to make a fuss. I’ll think twice about dining at Bills for Breakfast again.

    Very disappointing. The staff were lovely, but the food was luke warm. We had to ask for condiments twice. We specifically requested space for a mobility scooter, which was accommodated, but then a party of three were seated right next to us, (even though there were plenty of empty tables) which meant we had to ask one of them to move so the mobility scooter could be manoeuvred out. Not happy

    The staff were amazing. They couldn't do more for us and made us feel so welcome. It was a really lovely breakfast. We found out that you are dog friendly too so we'll definitely be heading back with our dog.

    We went there for breakfast. Coffee was served lukewarm, everything on the breakfast plate was poor. Mushrooms were dry and cold, black pudding was dry and cold, potatoes were cold, fried eggs were overcooked and cold, sausage was rubbery and cold, tomatoes were overcooked and dry, toast was dry and cold, butter in the ramekins was more or less frozen. The only thing right on the plate was the beans. This is probably the first time I've sent food back it was truly awful. Having previously worked in the catering industry how could a capable cook send out food like this?

    The place was very cold, so needed to keep our coats on. there was a bit of a disagreement with the drinks order. my daughter ordered a white wine and lemonade. she was brought a white wine and soda, she asked if she could change it, as it was not what she ordered. the waitress said that my daughter needed to buy a bottle of lemonade and add it to the glass. i don't know why she could not have changed it for the correct order. this was a birthday meal, the assistant was not very helpful. this was the first time we visited bills in cardiff bay. we normally go to the one in Wyndam arcade, we will continue to visit there.
