   Some of the best food in the area. the dishes sizes all all large which is a bonus and the flavour balance was phenomenal. I highly recommend this place to anyone that is looking for unique cuisine and is willing to adventure.

    Food was great and the service was awesome. Some of the best and unique food in Raleigh in my opinion. Dining room always gets so loud which is the only knock. We will absolutely be returning there!

    I'm a plant based eater. The Herb Salad hits the spot. The mix of herbs & greens is spot on. The crunchy eggplant is so delicious and well seasoned. The tofu could use a bit more season but once the ginger sauce is put on it, it blends quite well with the salad.

    We had a great meal but completely over ordered for our group as the portions are larger than expected and great for sharing! For appetizers, we had the beef jerky and crispy rice lettuce wraps! Loved both and would go back for them ! For entrees, we had the papaya salad, ribs and pork belly and the seabass. The sauce and pork belly portion of the entree was amazing but we found the ribs didn’t not live up to the sauce and pork belly. The sea bass was amazing, and plenty for 4 people to share - would definitely order again! Paired beautifully with the papaya salad. We had the trout addition to the papaya salad - the trout filets were immense and tasty but for us overpowered the papaya salad - would do the papaya salad again but would probably either forego a protein addition or go with either the shrimp or chicken. Definitely a repeat destination !

    I loved the staff and the restaurant and the bar was awesome. The green papaya salad just wasn't as good as it has been in the past, but I think it was my choice of proteins. I got the seabass and I think I should have gone with the pork neck. Oddly enough, the best I've ever had was the lemongrass chicken. Maybe I should just stick with that one next time.

    It was good food and great service. One of the dishes we ordered was a lil bit oily when we asked for change, the management was generous enough to offer us another choice and didn't charge for the one we didn't like. Very much baby friendly, my baby who is 15 month old enjoyed the shrimp chips served before food, loved the soup. They kindly offered a bowl of rice for the baby also. Overall as a family, we loved it and we will visit again to try their different delicacies.

    I have to say that I go to Bida Manda about once a month. I took a friend to this place I have been raving about and it was just not the same. My friend said her spring rolls were tasteless, and I ordered my regular dish, green papaya salad and grilled flank steak. Also, my green papaya salad was "tasteless". I am not sure what the difference was, but it was not "great" as it is usually fantastic and leaves me wanting more to eat.

    The Crispy Rice Lettuce Wraps are a very good appetizer! The Pork Belly Soup was also very good and filling. We got the Duck Laab as well and were somewhat disappointed. It was more of a Lettuce wrap type dish and cold, we did not ask in detail about the dish but would not have gotten it if we would have known those details. It also had a ton of Cilantro which we were not expecting and do not love the taste of that herb. Overall a good experience for the first time.

    The staff was very attentive and helpful regarding menu choices. I had the green papaya salad with trout, a pina colada to wash it down and the Duo Plate dessert of one each strawberry and chocolate macaron. The service was delightful and the food, as always, was delicious. I will say, I really was adventurous this time. I normally have the pumpkin curry or the salmon. It is just so difficult to only order one and miss out on the others!!

    Bida Manda instantly transports you to the heart of the Indochinese Peninsula, without having to fly out of RDU. Prior to visiting I had never tried Laotian cuisine. It's very similar to Thai a favorite of mine and whose country is their neighbor. The restaurant was not too busy but many were dining. The dining room is very compact with seating and the noise level is high. I would not recommend this for a date or intimate dinner to catch up with someone. The dining space pays homage to the owner's homeland of Laos with beautiful artwork and inspiration from Buddhism. Earth tones fill the room with modern light fixtures and soft romantic candlelit lighting reminiscent of many Thai restaurants I have visited. We scanned the QR code and I decided on the crispy pork belly soup everyone has raved about. Traditionally this gluten free soup is served as breakfast in Laos. It features Coconut curry broth with lime leaf, julienned vegetables, peanuts, eggs, fresh herbs, rice noodles, and crispy pork belly. The purple cabbage and rice noodles in the coconut broth paired with the very crispy pork. It was so rich and truly comforting. I'm drooling right now thinking of it. My friend ordered the stir fry ginger chicken dish without the cashew. That was delicious as well. I enjoyed the spring onion and sauce it was cooked in but the green beans needed to be cooked down more. Too crunchy. Our waitress was attentive and we enjoyed our meal. I loved the them of the restaurant and homage to Laos.
