I had heard that the menu was limited and provided poor value, but decided to give it a shot for Thanksgiving. We ate at 1:30. Restaurant was almost empty, but service was poor. Server forgot half our drinks and never checked on us. It was a buffet and few people were present, so service should have been manageable. Only offered 5 wine choices and knew nothing about the wines. Literally zero. Thanksgiving food presents challenges for gluten free eaters like my wife, but they admitted to no effort. The buffet servers were frankly insulting in their effort to put hardly any food on one's plate as we went through the line. Coupled with the brusque statement by the servers to not take any food to go, I assume that they under prepared food and were scared of running out. I had to repeatedly ask for more. Servers were utterly disinterested and despite a nice setting, it was unfriendly; even rude. Several couples left at the same time, and agreed that they would ever again stay at the Hilton Asheville Foundry or eat at this restaurant. Was also very overpriced. Worst review I've given in 10 years. I'm normally not a harsh rater.

Brunch is over priced and a bit bland. It made sense once the bill was presented and they asked if we wanted to charge to a hotel room as we didn’t know before that it was associated with a hotel. They were out of a lot of items since it was during the week which was disappointing.

If you re gonna charge over $36 for a pork chop it should probably be thicker than 1/4 inch

Made a Reservation at 8pm on a Friday night when they close at 10pm. 6 entrees but 2 were sold out didn’t find that out until I was ordering. So now only 4 entrees to chose from. Ran out of mix for a specialty cocktail 2 Hours before closing. Doesn’t really make since. I work in food and beverage so I don’t understand how the price point is so high and y’all don’t have a enough product. Service was very slow waitress didn’t seem to care to be there. Will not return. 2nd time trying let down both times.

Great experience! We popped in for snacks and drinks on Halloween night and were so glad we did! Everything that came out from the kale salad to grit cakes were superior! The grit cakes were warm and crunchy with a very creamy interior. The kale salad was dressed superbly and the butternut squash accompanied it so well. We also had a tasty sweet potato hummus. Our servers were super friendly and they had a really nice wine and cocktail list. We had had a big lunch or we would have ordered entrees - we will definitely go back next time we’re in town!

We were entertaining an out of town guest. We both had the Nigerian Bass which was prepared perfectly. Special drinks before dinner and rich desserts made the evening very special.

The food was really good. It was my first time having collardgreen gumbo and it was great! Everything was hot and fresh of the grill. I highly recommend this restaurant. Keegan was great, I really appreciated her hospitable spirit.

Drinks were great, our server was great but the food was nothing special considering the reputation of the chef. Upon entry, after holding the reservation for over a month, the hostess actually tried to talk us into taking a high top at the bar…you know the ones that are readily available to walkins. Manager and server were very nice and accommodating though. Food left a lot to be desired.

I loved our dinner at Benne. We were greeted warmly, escorted to our table, such comfortable chairs. Our server was fantastic. I loved the pace. We got our drinks and had time to savor before our appetizers, grit cakes- outstanding. and chicken lollipops- the sauce was delicious. we had time to enjoy and digest before the main course. So many places bring main entree too soon before finishing the appetizer. we were in no rush and the timing was perfect. Most of the family had the lamb shank and raved about it. I had the whole bass with plantains, it was absolutely perfect the sauce complemented the dish perfectly. The acoustics were such that we could comfortably converse and hear each other (party of 5). The wine selection was perfect and the cocktails/mocktail fantastic! Highly recommend and look forward to going again.

I went for breakfast and the food was fantastic. I had the monte cristo and it was perfect. The server was attentive, and even made a fresh pot of coffee for me because the one she had did not have any steam coming out. I appreciated this because most places don’t notice and I really enjoy my coffee hot! Would like to try them for dinner or drinks on another trip.

My friend and I shared three dishes, and loved them all! The menu changes frequently, but if the banana blossom is still available, get it! Service was excellent, my friend enjoyed his drinks, and the chef and kitchen crew came out to say hi, which was great! Thanks, Benne for a great night!

We had a fantastic meal at Benne. The new Fall menu is wonderful (except we could have ordered every item)! Try the custom cocktails and the carrot cake; you won’t be disappointed. We are in Asheville for the week. We may have to go back again while we are here. This is a place that honors rich tradition by serving up modern excellence.

LOVED the welcoming atmosphere & artistic vibe. Hostess was attentive and accommodating when we decided to sit inside (as opposed to the heated patio, which was super cozy! We were just in an “inside” mood!). Food was prepared with care; we enjoyed watching the chefs in the open kitchen. We both ordered the Market Street Breakfast & all the food was delicious. I order my eggs over hard & they did them just right! Coffee was tasty & up to par with my (sometimes snobby) standards. Mimosa was fresh and nicely proportioned. Thoroughly enjoyed this spot!

We went there for brunch and Leah was our server. She made food suggestions and she was spot on. We sat outside and very much enjoyed our seating. The food was very good and the service was great. I would recommended to anyone.
