   If you’re looking for a chill, relax vibe with the most scrumptious Caribbean food Bellos is the answer; what can I say this made my Friday night from the atmosphere to the service and the quality of the food and drinks even the cost was chefs kiss.    I’ve been to Bellos a handful of times. This was by far one of my better experiences. My friend and I enjoyed the jungle room and the customer service/music was equally pleasing.

   If I could give a 20 out of 10 I would. We had such an amazing time. We were a very large party and came during happy hour on a Friday night and everyone was so accommodating. The owner is a sweetheart. The wait staff is kind and attentive. The food was good. The drinks were GREAT. The vibe was perfect. We will definitely be back again & again. Thank you all so much!

    Small space and small tables but were seated immediately with our reservation. Too many people at the bar will crowd you out, but otherwise we were okay. Crab cake appetizer was decent enough. The red snapper Escovitch was AMAZING and wonderfully presented. Would have preferred rice option as the side, but we were fine with potatoes. The plantains were phenomenal. Waitress was a bit forgetful with several things, but she may have been pre-occupied. After 10:00pm they remove the chairs and it may become more of a lounge, dance hall, bar atmosphere.     I chose Bello’s for my birthday dinner. I had a reservation. The appetizers were ok: we ordered calamari and fried shrimp. The shrimp was excellent, calamari was not hot. I received my entree. After 45 minutes of waiting, my friend still hadn’t received her meal. They removed it from the bill and gave it to her to go but it out a damper on the night. The drinks were good and the server was excellent

    Well for starters we had a party of 15 and none of our food came out together like 20-30 mins apart or more. That was very frustrating. My food was actually good though and I wouldnt mind eating it again however my friends stuffed salmon wasnt hitting on much. I had the tequila passion fruit glazed shrimp as my app and Rasta pasta for my dish, it was great. My server was great for her first large party. The owner was tried his best to accomodate us. Overall my experience was deminished by the my guests not enjoying themselves because of how our food came out sporadically. 2.5/5 overall for me. I would give them another chance though just with a smaller party size like 3/4 max.

    Wow!!! The food is AMAZING and worth every penny! The appetizer simply grilled shrimp one word delicious!! It came with a dipping sauce that was equally amazing. Their salmon just melts in your mouth. The ambiance and decor is top notch for any type of gathering from romantic dinner dates, family gathering, and even for business purposes. Service is outstanding, completely opposite of the rude/obnoxious customer service you typically get elsewhere in Richmond downtown. My favorite place thus far…

    We went in for dinner at 5 it was empty not a customer and no staff to be found after waiting for a few someone came out and told us we could sit. They brought us water after about 5 minutes of her fiddling behind the bar. Then told us the bar manager would be out in a few we waited another 10 minutes before we gave up no one insight. We left and went somewhere else. I later checked the reviews and was happy we didn’t stay. Inconsistent and overpriced

    Visiting Richmond over the weekend for our anniversary and we signed up for the Brunch Experience through Open Table. The food was amazing and the service was delightful. Go for the experience and enjoy every bit of it - the DJ was awesome and the music was loud - have FUN!! We had the protein bowl and the lamb - the jerk spices were on point and the Jollof rice is something I’ll be longing for well after we return home. The only thing that would have made it better would have been to go in a group!

    Group of 7 went there to celebrate me and my friend’s birthday… Cons: Bathrooms were not well-lit, the upstairs lounge area was hot af, they were basically out of crabmeat which is advertised on the menu as being an ingredient in the shrimp and grits (by basically I mean they only had one serving available but 3 of us ordered that dish), and there were a few hiccups with getting our orders straight and getting the food out in a timely manner. Pros: The music was a vibe, the place was cute. The customer service… phenomenal!!! Our server (I think her name was Tee)… she was amazing. She was very attentive and addressed our concerns as well as was apologetic for the minor mishaps. And the manager, Niecy (I think that was her name… pretty green hair), she was GREAT and really came through with the customer service reconciliation. We did not in any way feel slighted or like they shrugged their shoulders at the inconveniences. While we were compensated a bit, recon isn’t always about throwing in something free or comping an item… sometimes its about just continuing to give exceptional service and between Tee and Niecy we got just that!! While I wouldn’t consider this a pro nor a con on behalf of the restaurant, I would like to add that the brunch tickets mention a mimosa pitcher or tower and the champagne used is COOK’S. This is just a warning for those who do not fancy Andres or Cooks champagne and get those annoying headaches. However, we were able to purchase a bottle of something else. Would I go back? Yes. Am I going back? Absolutely. I know I ain’t give all 5 star ratings but for the sake of the recommendation I gotta say 10 OUTTA 10 WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Enjoy.

    The staff was very attentive and professional. Love them. They made sure we felt welcome by greeting us as soon as we walked in, allowing us to look around and choose where we wanted to sit, upstairs or down, and the made sure we wanted for nothing. We had coconut shrimp, that was seasoned to perfection, crab stuffed salmon and tender asparagus with a tasty ginger sauce, and perfectly cooked plantains. Everything was great except the noise level was high because the music, played by the live DJ, was turned up to party volume instead of casual conversation level. The music was excellent but I could not have a conversation with my companions easily.

    First, it’s fantastic to have a place to get West African cuisine. I do wish there was an area for regular dining so that more people could comfortably enjoy something different! My Nigerian husband and I enjoyed the music but we’re apparently too old to appreciate the hookah and random girls twerking in corners. We really just wanted to enjoy the food so he could have a taste of home. Regardless, the staff were attentive and friendly and we enjoyed chatting with our server. The food had a nice familiarity to our visits to Nigeria, but some items seemed overpriced. I’m sure we’ll be back. I thought Sunday would be a safe bet for the environment but maybe we’ll try a Tuesday next time for an environment we are more comfortable in.

    This is more of a club than a restaurant. Staff was friendly and laid back. Coconut shrimp was tasty, as were the wings. Cocktails were good, too.
