We have lived in Escondido for over 6 years and have been meaning to come here. I'm sorry we waited so long. We came tonight for our anniversary. Everything was perfect. But what really made it special was Fernando, the server. From the moment we were seated he made us feel like we were the only ones in the restaurant. His attention detail, conversation and knowledge were what makes dining out special. As far as the meal, we had the calamari appetizer. This Italian guy from New York is very particular about his calamari. This was one of the best I've had. I had the short rib and my husband had the pork loin. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. To top it off, we had the crème brûlée for dessert. It was perfectly prepared. We will definitely be back.

We were all pleasantly surprised with this hidden gem. Passing thru the bar area where the live music happens, the dining area delivered an aura of quiet sophistication which transported me to the good ol' days. The friendly and attentive service by Fernando entertained us all. Great job all!

I took my parents to dinner for their 40th anniversary and we all had a great time. Food was great, enjoyed the ambience, and service was fantastic. Fernando made every interaction special. What a gem, that guy. We’ll be back!

You can easily control the noise level during your meal by asking to be seated in the bar area (loud, especially if a band is playing), the separate dining room (moderate), or outside in their beautiful back yard (quiet). Our waiter was attentive as well as knowledgeable and took great care of us.

Unfortunately our experience was not very pleasant. We were asked to move tables after being seated in which we had to bring our menus and place settings with us. Our food order was forgotten about, twice. After being there over an hour and only receiving one round of drinks we got the check and went somewhere else to eat.

We had a wonderful dinner. We started with drinks and the carrot humus appetizer. Then for dinner we had the brown butter fettuccine Alfredo. The food was wonderful and the service wss great. We highly recommend this local gem.
