Ate Mother's Day dinner here. Of all the places we go for Mother's Day this place seems to be the best at handling the mad-house and still giving good quality service. We were a party of 6 and had excellent service from our waitress. Before the meal salad and bread kept coming to the table as we needed it. All the food was good. The only issue we had with the food was you can tell they didn't drain the noodles long enough in some of our dishes, which meant that the sauces were extra watery. Especially in the fettuccine gypsy pesto dish. The only other issue was the extreme noise in the area. We were sat in the middle right in front of the kitchen. We could barely hear ourselves talk. My wife had to switch places with my son so I could talk to her and she actually hear me. Of course it was Mother's Day so not a huge issue.

We were sat right next to the bar, so noisy we couldn’t have a normal conversation without practically yelling. If you don’t want the very high energetic vibe, ask to sit somewhere else. Otherwise the food was excellent and the waitstaff were super friendly and respectful.

We have been to this location of Basta Pasta several times. We have always had good meals and excellent service. This past visit was no different, although it did take a long time for our bottle of wine to arrive after we ordered it. Our server was great and paced our Zucchini Chip appetizer with the house salald and veal parm entrees perfectly.

If you order appetizers, remember that you also get salad and rolls. The zucchini chips are delicious! Our main course was delicious and have enough for another meal.

The meal was truly excellent. Our server, Jess, could not have been more attentive and helpful. The salad was delicious and our chicken parms were piping hot and delicious. VERY generous portions. Our new favorite Italian restaurant. Highly recommended

As is always the case with Basta pasta OUTSTANDING !!!!!! Try to get seated in the bar because SARA normally works in that area. She is hands down one of the best servers we have ever experienced. She has are drinks on the table before we even get a chance to get her attention. Sara is amazing

We went on "CRAB-CAKE " Tuesday. Two of us decided on the gigantic crab cakes while the other two went with the regular menu items. We like the crab cakes>>>there is no doubt that they are best>>with little filler and a lot of back fin. The other two ordered Baby Clams Linguine and Fettuccine Carbonara. Both excellent choices as the pasta was just perfect>>al dente>>just as we like it. Our server(Taylor) was on top of things throughout the entire meal. We did not have to ask for things as she was ahead of our needs. Good to see servers thinking ahead of your needs!! The "never ending" salad & garlic butter bread added to the very large portions that we took home for "tomorrow's" lunch!! GOOD FOOD>>>GREAT SERVICE>>and PRICES that are reasonable>>>what's not to like!!

This restaurant is 6 years old on 3/6/2023 and it has gained a B-I-G following because the food is tasty, well prepared and affordable and will fit any budget. We were there on "CRAB CAKE " Tuesday for two fabulous back fin crab cakes>>>a VERY large scoop>>>broiled combined with hot buttery garlic fist sized baguette bread and endless salad! The wait staff was attentive and knowledgeable(Sarah is fabulous!). Local beer on tap but no MD wines(BUY local!). It accommodates families as well a larger parties(we saw a B-Day party of 14 fit in nicely) with a moderate noise level.

We have been to Basta Pasta a few times. Bar area was packed, we went for Happy Hour before our reservation. They did not honor happy hour prices, because it was a holiday, Valentines Day. Our waitress was not friendly, not attentive and was at times just rude. The restaurant couldn’t handle the crowd for Valentines. Our chairs were uncomfortable and couldn’t hang our purses on them. The crab soup was very spicy and has not tasted like that before. The spaghetti bolognese was very unflavored . There was hardly any sauce, way too much pasta and meat dried out. We asked for more sauce but told that would be an extra cost. Salad and bread came out late, while other tables seated after us, got theirs, but different waitress. We will not come back.
