   Was there for a black pride event and chef Sarah Kirnons food. Bardo was an awesome collaborator. Bartenders that day were excellent. Professional yet friendly, knowledgeable with great recommendations. Will definitely check Bardo lounge out for a regular casual outing.

   Went for an experience. The ambiance and overall feel of the place is lovely. Really like the décor and layout. Service was good. Can’t comment on the food as our experience included a guest chef, but imagine the regular menu is just as delicious.

   It was such a great experience. For our large party retreat, we did the experience which made things so easy. Food came out consistently. It was so much delicious food we barely ate it all. We thought the first round was it and was stuffed, but it also came with entrees and dessert which was an amazing surprise. Needless to say we walked away full and had a great time. The service was on point too. We mentioned that a few attendees has allergies and the staff made sure to let us know what would work and even did research to ensure there was no hidden nuts. Overall, amazing! I would recommend this for groups again and again!

   Zoë was amazing as a host and worked really hard to accommodate us on a very busy weekend night. The food and drinks were delicious! The only delta is that it took a while to clear our place at the bar and we received the check while dirty dishes were still in front of us - this is a pet peeve of mine though!

   I found this restaurant on opentable and decided to try it out with my husband. It did not disappoint! The service, the food, the ambiance, it was all amazing. The vibe was super chill and relaxing, we will definitely be back!! Oh and we will be bringing others! 5⭐️

    I don't know which was better: the service, the atmosphere, or the food. They were all beyond excellent and unlike anything I've experienced in Oakland. 10/10 would recommend, especially if you have someone visiting the Bay Area and you're trying to impress them. This spot is impressive AF.

    I made a reservation here for a family birthday celebration. The restaurant & bar manager accommodated some special requests to help make the evening memorable & the kitchen sent out the most delightful birthday dessert surprise! Definitely recommend. The Batiste Rhum daiquiris from the bar were AMAZING! Overall 5-stars!

    This wasn't my first time at Bardo, and it surely won't be my last! As always, the food, cocktails, and service were exceptional. The only bummer of the evening was that we were seated upstairs and it was uncomfortably hot up there. We mentioned this to the server, and she empathized that there's just a small vent upstairs and it isn't enough. I'll be sure to request a table downstairs next time.

    If you want a fun atmospheric restaurant with delicious food to dine out with friends, Bardo is the place. Absolutely will become your favorite hangout if you aren’t careful. The atmosphere is fun and inviting with a thoroughly modern vintage vibe. And the food is simply outstanding. And the bar is smashing! Make a reservation.

    What a fantastic meal! We went to celebrate my daughter's graduation from Cal. The food was amazing; the service sublime and the ambiance couldn't be beat! We even got to meet the talented chef. Also, the mixologists are so talented. Thank you Bardo (and owner Seth Bregman) for an unforgettable evening!

    The drinks were delicious and the service was excellent so I'll definitely be returning but wouldn't book the area we booked ever again. I chose the lounge option and expected two seats and a maybe side tables for a relaxing cocktail dinner but we were placed in an awkward corner that was elevated a step up that made it even more difficult to reach the small table they put there against the wall (think an thin entry table). It would have been fine alone to have a cocktail and read/relax there but two people in that space was very odd.

    This restaurant has it all; not only is the food delicious, fresh, and well prepared, but the ambiance feels like a cool, hip supper club with a variety of places to dine and sip. The decor is straight out of the 1960’s; the lighting is divine and the barware evokes a time no longer seen when dining out.

    My friend and I were very impressed with Bardo. Great service, delicious cocktails and dishes. We sat at the bar and it was lovely. Did not scope out the dining seating but the lounge seating looked nice too!

    We had an 8:45 reservation and were not aware the kitchen closed at 9. So, we were rushed through our meal. It would have been helpful when making the reservation to have been made aware we would be on the clock to place our order and eat. Would not recommend the high top tables for dinner. There is nowhere for your knees to go. Uncomfortable for a full meal.

    We had a great experience at Bardo. The food was absolutely amazing. Every bite of every dish, swear to the goddesses, was fantastic. The wine was also really great. It's a nice and interesting interior and the service was excellent. My only complaint is that it was a bit noisy.

    Emma was a wonderful server! I have food allergies and she was able to convey my drink order correctly. And the bartender mixed a terrific Cosmo! I am picky and he did I really good job. The food was very good. I love the clubby feel with mismatched everything. We were first seated at a couch and coffee table for dinner but the hostess saw that we would have preferred a table. We didn’t want to make a fuss but she offered to move us when a table came a available. We’re looking for a new “regular” place to go and this may be it!

    While the food was amazing, the service was lacking. It took a while before anyone came to check if we needed drinks. When my son spilled water in front of our waiter, they did not offer someone to help clean it up or give us additional napkins. The floor was wet beneath his feet and he slipped a couple times.

    Fantastic service and excellent food. The drinks were really good too. This was our first time there and we plan on eating there whenever we are in Oakland. We had the salted cod, the crispy chicken, and a few different appetizers. It was great --- the food is top notch. And our server was attentive and friendly. Perfect 10 for this place!
