Always a great experience; fun and high- end.
We come here regularly with small groups because it’s more spacious than a traditional Manhattan restaurant.
Not cheap, but high quality and excellent food.
Good cold sake variety.
This modern Korean restaurant would be a great choice for people wanting to try Korean food. I treated my non-Korean boyfriend who has celiac and they were very accommodating. They have a separate gluten free menu and provide you with sides that are all gluten free. He was very pleased with the food and the whole experience. I highly recommend!
The food was fresh and tasty. The service was impeccable and friendly. We went to dinner early so the restaurant was quiet and intimate.
Great food. Great service great location
We enjoyed our time and the great service. The soju cocktail and the stews are all great!
Wonderful Jap Chae and buns with brisket. Service was attentive and accommodating.
Amazing food. Great staff. I'm definitely adding this to my list of spots to hit.
This was our first time at this restaurant. We were celebrating a birthday. The birthday girl received a complementary dessert which was very tasty. Food was great. We over ordered and wish they would have restrained us to order one less course. We had a good waiter, but he wasn't around often. It was difficult to track down servers for water, ban chan, napkins, etc. It wasn't crowded but the servers disappeared. For that reason, didn't give all the stars the food warrants. It was expensive: $150 for 3 people. Didn't expect that....and again, wish they suggested to order less. Don't know if we will return.
food service all good. would go back again. told friends .
It was so good all along snd this one last visit was terrible. I shouldn’t have booked here for Mother’s Day. They had only one waiter, who was slow and forgets to refill or bring requests in because he was too busy with two other tables. There was hardly anybody in the restaurant, to begin with. Overall the restaurant was unkempt, not clean or organized setups with un-bussed tables, chairs all in disarray, and literally one waiter and one busboy. So disappointing. They need an upgrade and better staff.
Amazing good with great service. Very nice ambiance
Bann has a very nice ambience for a quiet lunch, low lighting, tables spaced well enough away from each other, and very peaceful. The waiters were very attentive, refilling water glasses as soon as they were half full, and bringing the courses in a timely manner. I ordered the chicken barbeque bento box and it was very tasty and had a plentiful amount of food--entrée, miso soup, salad, side dishes of broccoli, kimchi, rice noodles and some kind of fermented vegetable (maybe pickled daikon?). One of the best features of the restaurant is that you can ask them to vary the spiciness level. I've also had the bokum rice bowl and that is also a good choice. You can also self-cook your own meals on the Korean tabletop barbecue. I would definitely go back again.
Good food for a reasonable price. Nice to be able to bbq the food for ourselves. A good experience.
Great food, great service
Overall not bad. However the restaurant it self needs a major makeover! Too old and dirty
Loved the food and atmosphere
We had a wonderful time at Bann Restaurant celebrating our daughter's 13th birthday. We had made a reservations for 2:00 on a Saturday, which we probably didn't need, but the second we walked in they knew that we had made a reservation and welcomed us warmly. The food was amazing and fun to grill at our table - our waiter walked us through how to BBQ the food, how long, where to position it, etc. I would highly recommend Bann Restaurant!
Great food and value got a little warm in the room once all the grills at the tables around us were turned on but other than that great experience!
A lovely meal, a very comfortable place to sit and enjoy conversation-- and very good service. The korean bbq is a fun activity for the table. We will return!
Contemporary and attractive presentation. Loved the spicy and vinegary dressing on the side salad. Waitstaff was very accommodating when a wrong order was brought to our table. Staff allowed us to keep the order of spicy and sticky fried chicken at no charge and brought us the correct order in addition. We have an extra tip for the courtesy.
Bann has been one of our favorite's since some South Korean friends first took us there several years ago. We're in Jersey now, but we make a trek into the city on special occasions to eat here. The food is always amazing, the service is excellent, and has the perfect ambiance for conversation. It's a delight.
the restaurant needs a facelift, paint, etc., as it looked like the roof had been leaking and the walls were really banged up, etc. The service was a bit slow, but the waiter was very nice. Overall it was good, but with all the choices in NYC they need to improve.
Came for my 5-yr-old niece’s birthday. Very accommodating of the 9 of us w/ 2 toddlers. Food was outstanding!
The service was fast as they were catering to us as we had a show to catch at 5:00. The food was excellent. I highly recommend this place!!!
Great food, service and atmosphere. This place did not disappoint.
Meat is best I’ve had, wish they helped with the bbq
Kept us waiting with reservation. Food was good. Service was mediocre, they ran out of glasses so had to sit without water for half the meal. Very Noisy.
We had show reservations for Jersey Boys. Dinner before hand was excellent. We had half Korean Barbecue and half entree. The shrimp from the barbecue was very tasteful. The Korean noodles with chicken was delicious.
It's a hidden gem. They have a great lunch value meal with an excellent food.
Really good service and food. Recommend for a special occasion. Large portions and good value for the price.
Great service, great food, very accommodating the whole time, excellent!
restaurant was very nice! Get atmosphere for a date or special evening.
Outstanding food, terrific service, very reasonable prices.
It’s a cook-your-own Korean BBQ, and probably the best I’ve ever visited—and I’ve been to a few. We ordered two meats, one veggie, and some dol sat bibimbap and had to take our time eating it. If we’d had a big lunch, we might not have made it!
That said, leave room for the terrific desserts!
*If you have a show to catch, book yourself some time at Bann for dinner
*Select the BANN GA RI BI - sea scallop, shrimp and korean pine mushroom baked in a light seafood mousse, and watch the "fun of the flames!"
*Remember, the meat cooks quickly, so if you are bemoaning the audience participation part of the program, you are over thinking it.
*The MEDIUM BARBECUE PLATTER (serves 2-4 people), is PLENTY for 2 people.
*The sorbets consisting of Matcha, Lychee and Asian Pear make for a nice close out to any meal
*Ask yourself how many onions you can eat. They give a lot!
When you are looking for that pre-diner show venue, Bann should be one of your considerations. Dining there you will get a great Korean BBQ experience and an opportunity to have some "Social Media" worthy posts from your experience.
If you like seafood then the sea scallop is a selection you should not miss. Three sea scallops are presented and then ignited for flavor. The presentation creates a social media worthy profile. Digging into the scallop you will find a flavorful filling in an amazing shell.
In this outing, the Medium BBQ platter for 2 was selected. If I had to do it all over again, I would ask them to hold the onions. Even if you like onions, you should ask them to hold back on the onions. I don't know if they just have so much inventory they wanted to give them away or why the big onion push, but it was far more than could be consumed. Upon arrival, the grill is sparked up and you are off on your cooking adventure.
The meats are delicious and the salmon also lived up to expectations.
Closing out the meal is the sorbets which can contribute to another social media sensation in the presentation as it is served on a block of ice.
The restaurant can easily accommodate larger groups and I would dine there again.
Thanks to Bann for a great dinner!
BBQing at the table was fun. All the food was great. A perfect place to eat befor a show.
It needs a new paint job
We had a lovely meal. Our hosts were helpful, responsive and unpressuring. The meal was delicious and fun. We had a great time. We’ll be back!
Everything was amazing from as soon as we entered to the end of our meal. Waiter was very good. The food was great. It was a happy occasion. Our second time there. And it’s not our last.
Though I have had better Korean food, the gluten free options available to customers are great.
Our favorite place in the city. Great service and the best food. Always a great experience.
