   We came to St. Michaels overnight because I had a craving for Ava's Pizza! It did not disappoint! The meatball starter was delicious as were the homemade parmesan potato chips. Their wine menu is extensive and they carry New Zealand Sav Blancs. The indoor/outdoor garden has a really neat beer tap water feature, but the noise level from the patrons is VERY loud. Ask for a seat inside if you want quiet. The best part is the Detroit Style Pizza. I'm from Chicago and I have to say I enjoy this pizza better!

   Ava’s Pizzaria On our second of two nights in St Michaels, MD, we chose to dine at Ava’s Pizzaria. LaDarian did double duty as a bartender and server in the bar area. He greeted us warmly and took our drink & pizza order. We chose the specialty pie called Meat Meat Meat which featured pepperoni sausage and meatballs on a thin crust with mozzarella. Very tasty. Ava’s has a very cozy neighborhood feel to it. It also seems very popular for take-out. Lastly LaDarian made a personal connection with us when I presented my NFL EAGLES credit card and that always makes for a wonderful dining experience.

   Our server Grace was amazing! The buffalo chicken salad was the best 5 stars in fact. We also had the Chefs special pizza and it was okay. We would definitely return and try the meatballs and definitely order the buffalo salad again.

    Outstanding food - invariably every pizza and entree is excellent. Having been here a dozen times, ordering a variety of salads, pastas, pizzas and desserts, everything has been very good if not excellent. Generally good service (but it can vary from server to server). Reasonable prices, especially in light of how great the food is. The downstairs bar section with a few tables is not particularly pleasant and feels cramped, with a lot of people constantly walking by; the upstairs is much nicer but has only a few tables; the back patio is covered and is nice when the weather is good. Overall, they could probably make the place a little nicer without losing the casual vibe. But this is a minor complaint.

    Waitress was excellent, she had lots of suggestions and was very timely at getting out food and drinks. Fountain a little loud and made it hard to hear, she was very helpful in suggesting that some of the taps could be shut off.

    We absolutely love Ava’s. We eat here every time we come to St. Michaels. Great pizza and homemade chips and fun atmosphere. Cocktails are always good! Highly recommend

    Intentionally drove 44 minutes to have the Wasabi Oysters then drove 45 minutes back home. Enjoyed everything. Our server Mary was prompt and attentive

    Great food! Ordered one pizza and received one free on Mondays. Paired with two Caesar salads for the four of us. Great bottle of Chilean pino noir. Waitress was personable and knowledgeable!

    Excelent food, service, and location. The beet and arugula salad was sublime. The chef's favorite pizza was very good, Mediteranian pizza, better. Attentive, friendly, knowledgable service, without being intrusive. Parking in rear as well as near several public (and free) lots, in a walkable, safe, clean town.

    While the pizza oven was out of service for the evening, the staff handled our dinner with grace and aplomb. Great Old Fashion and Pinot, terrific salad and excellent Short Rib entree. Terrific service.
