The service here was pretty appalling. Our table of four spoke with the staff and manager a couple of times to try and address the issues. They were relatively responsive but the service and timing remained bad throughout our meal. I’m embarrassed to have recommended this place to our group. The server and managers kept using being “new” as an excuse for everything from slow service, to not being familiar with menu items, and more. It’s a bummer because the setting is so beautiful and the food is good, but the service ruined the experience and I don’t feel confident about going back again, especially now seeing so many other bad reviews about experiences like ours. It was also surprising that, knowing what a terrible experience we had, the manager didn’t try to rectify anything with the bill. This place needs to get its act together or it won’t survive unfortunately.
Food was okay and not a lot for what you pay for. The view is beautiful and the service was actually good at the restaurant. It was very pricey for what you get. You are basically paying for the view.
Great place, prices are a little high but overall good.
It will be good if there are more appetizer options.
Overall, good place for few drinks with friends.
Quite expensive but quality and ambience are good. Dry aged beef was good but way overcooked compared to how I had ordered it and unfortunately nobody asked how satisfied I was.
Good restaurant overall.
The service was excellent Alejandro and Alana went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable...just one little snatch...the kitchen is not as efficient as they should and our plates came out at all different times...not good because the birthday girl got her food 1 and a half hours later...more help in the kitchen is a must!
Service needs to improve. The bathrooms are not clean, uncomfortable for some (men and women together) and very small. The food was good but pricey for what it is. I will probably go back for the ambiance (beautiful decoration). Again, focus on speed of service and customer experience.
Great food and ambience
Cocktails are pretty good but the food is not that great
Music was good but we went there for a dinner... we asked for a different table as the one we got first was basically with the drinks and bottles of the bar customers on our heads. Food was less than mediocre. Meet was overcook and burned. Probably good for drinks but not for a good dinner
Well, it's new and maybe they need to get the bugs out. But the menu offered grilled or fried calamari; we ordered grilled, got fried, and were told "oh we don't offer it grilled." Server wanted to take it away and replace with grilled octopus. We kept it, were charged for it, and the octopus arrived when we were done -- sent it back (no charge but no apology, no manager coming by to say anything). Salad had dressing despite explicit instructions for on the side, repeated by the server and per her, told to the kitchen. Portions were mostly small for the price (exception was a HUGE salad with chickpeas). Tomatoes were meh, a sin at a Greek restaurant. Pretty place, cool vibe on roof, but $130 for lunch for 3 (no booze, 19% tip included) is ridic. Forget it -- unless maybe for drinks only.
Service was really poor
Great rooftop restaurant and bar with gardens, lovely music and beautiful decor. All ages represented and a family-friendly atmosphere. Attentive service and yummy, creative food presentation.
It’s OVER PRICE , the place is very Nice .
And the service Good ...
Very tasty appetizers and drinks. Main courses however were underwhelming, that in addition to sub par service. Was told three different times they were out of something.
Great rooftop venue but watch some Gordon Ramsay episodes and learn what I did. My recommend
Very nice place, food excellent, service to the top, even the manager Alejandro always comes by and ask if everything is perfect, I recommended!!!!
Beautiful space! Mediocre service. Average food (overpriced) Music was good for a party place but if you wanted to sit like we did and have a conversation while eating that’s not the place.
Great food and service but really loud.
great location - they need to work out the kinks - wonderful for a dri
Beautiful place and delicious food. I super recommend it
Wonderful evening!! Great people. Will go back again
Service was disastrous. Place is very well set and beautiful. Servers need a lot of training. We would have to find them to get service.
The Astra Mule is amazing!!!
They just opened, so I have some understanding about why they had issues. BUT - we attempted to order 3 different things on the menu that they did not have. Why would they open up without having everything ready on the menu? Our waiter was very nice and friendly but messed up our order multiple times. The view and ambience is nice, but if i'm spending this much for greek food in Miami I would 10000000000% rather go to milos. We started with the grilled octopus which was around $25 USD, and there was barely enough octopus/food on the plate for one bite.
Terrible service. Unknowledgeable server. And “out of” red wine. How is that possible?
Had a very enjoyable meal. We had the lobster pasta and lamb chops and everything came out cooked to order and was delicious. Drinks were great as well. The best part of the restaurant is the ambiance and casual setting. We were not rushed to “eat and go” like many other Wynwood places. I’ve seen in other reviews that service was an issue but not for us. Mario was great and the rest of the staff keep our drinks full and kept checking on us. Deserts were awesome as well. We will be back!
Do not order any food from this place. Food was not that great, the worst kitchen ever. This place is only for drinks but the have sobe prices $$. Not a good expirence at all.
The hostess left us standing for a while to give us a table that we already reserved and there was plenty of free tables around. They ended giving us the Worst table location ever for a date night that was supposed to be fun. They left us alone on a side of the restaurant where nobody was. Food came an hour later. I asked for my salad and octopus to come together. They came separately. My husband had his entree served after I finished my 2 plates. Then they came with another octopus that we didn’t order plus another non ordered dish that was not ours. They gave us the bill without even asking if we wanted dessert.
The seafood farro plate was good. But overall it was a disaster.
Beautiful place but the servers are lost. The food was pretty good and the drinks were good. So it’s a lot of fun up there but don’t expect a wonderfully served meal without snafus!
Weird service. Someone came by to ask how our food was literally 2 seconds it was put down. Then took a reallyyyyy long time to get the check, had to flag down a bunch of random people who didn’t want to deal with it
Confusing staff, average food..
The service is very slow and the food is not good. We had to send some dishes back. Wouldn’t recommend.
We had a great brunch at Astra! Service, food and ambiance was fabulous.
Amazing ambiance and views
A bit too pricy 90. Per person with no drinks!
Ambience is awesome and we will go again for happy hour.
One entrée came before appetizer salad which eventually arrived after other diners entrees. Staff was apologetic but food delivery individual had a horrible attitude and dampened the mood. Seafood orzo had no taste and beet salad was not worth $18.
We were a couple having romantic dinner and seated next to large partying group when many other tables were open but “set for large parties”.
We were celebrating my husband’s birthday, which was noted in reservation, and no one acknowledged.
Nice place, architecture, food and service. I really recommend it!
This is the second time I go to Astra and for the second time the service was just terrible. And I say this feeling terrible for the waiting staff because at both times I could see how hard they were working but the food just takes forever, by forever I really mean it. We even ordered a side of Pita bread because we were so hungry and just wanted to eat anything at that took easily over 30 minutes to come to the table. On this last visit we were there for 2 hours and at the end we left hungry and went to eat at Coyo Tacos.
I must say that the food we got did manage to get was delicious.
Hostess was EXTREMELY rude. As soon as we got to the entrance and told her we had a reservation, she said there was no reservations available and the one in open table did not matter. I had to ask to talk to the manager who was able to find us a table and sit us down. I will not go back to be treated the way she treated us. 0 points to this restaurant for this service and her attitude towards clients.
Been there three times since it opened. Beautiful setting, food average, service terrible.
