Always have a really lovely time at Susana’s by Appleyard. The food as always was delicious, the staff are super friendly and helpful. The red wine sangria is so full of flavour and goes so nicely with the tapas. I love the ambience in there, feel like I could be on holiday. Brought my friend to try also who really enjoyed the food also, especially the Torreznos!

I had noted that we were there for a 50th bday celebration and they seemed confused about seating, and we ended up with half our party sitting in a very narrow aisle and the waiters had to squeeze through the back of our seats. So that was disappointing especially as I’ve eaten there many time and not had this problem before.

Really enjoyed the Sunday roast, very good value. Missed cauliflower cheese not being on the menu but had mac & cheese to make up for it. As always the tapas starters delicious.

I am heartbroken! This has been our favourite restaurant in Sidcup since it opened in 2019. We have celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, end of weeks, visiting families here and have always enjoyed it. But the value for money has gone downhill recently and I just can’t go there again. The food is usually delicious, the ambiance great and the staff polite and helpful. But the amount of food! I have had to go home and eat something else for the last two visits. Today my pork consisted of 4 slices of potato ( thin) and 6 pieces of pork. I had to ask the waitress for the peppers that were mentioned on the menu and she brought them separately in a bowl ( because they had forgotten to put them on). Three pieces of pepper were brought in a bowl. They were tiny. My dining companions had the seafood spaghetti - it was spaghetti and 2 pieces of squid and a prawn! These meals were £20! I have forgiven them for reducing the amount of black pudding croquettes for the starter because they are so delicious- I understand that there is a cost of living crisis but the meal cost a lot compared to the food that we received. I was dubious about visiting again after a really disappointing Sunday meal recently but returned because the food is usually so delicious. I can’t visit again because the skimpiness of the meals is unacceptable. I did mention it to the waiter today and he apologised but I know it’s not his fault. I just haven’t got the money to go again. There are other restaurants in Sidcup with better value food and that, in this economic climate, is what I need.
